Bortles (shoulder) completed 20-of-39 passes for 205 yards with a touchdown and an interception Sunday against the Texans.
It was another so-so outing for Bortles, who completed a season-low 51.3 percent of his passes. After making it through last week's win over the Giants without a pick, Bortles was back on the interception train, throwing one deep in his own territory near the end of the third quarter. Bortles has now thrown a pick in 10 of his 11 starts and has 16 on the season.

Bortles (shoulder/ankle) practiced fully on Wednesday, ESPN.com reports.
Bortles left this past Sunday's win over the Giants a little banged up for his efforts, but his full practice participation Wednesday suggest that a probable injury designation is in the cards for the QB come Friday.

While Bortles sustained a left ankle sprain Sunday against the Giants and is also dealing with shoulder inflammation, he should practice and play this week, according to John Oehser of jaguars.com.
We'll track the status of Bortles (who is backed up by Chad Henne) in the coming days, but so far it looks like he'll tough it out Sunday against the Texans, though we'd expect his practice participation be be limited some this week due to his aches and pains.

Bortles completed 21-of-35 passes for 194 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's win over the Giants.
Bortles was relatively quiet, but he avoided any major mistakes, going without an interception for the first time in 10 starts this season. The rookie also tacked on 68 rushing yards on five carries, including a 29-yard scamper in the second quarter. Bortles is now completing just under 63 percent of his passes on the year with nine touchdowns and 15 picks.

Bortles (wrist) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Bortles will play, but with eight touchdowns and 15 interceptions on the year, he is probably not starting on many fantasy teams at this point.

Bortles struggled Sunday against the Colts, completing 15-of-27 passes for a season-low 146 yards with one interception.
The Jaguars were completely overmatched by the division-leading Colts, compiling only 194 yards of total offense. Bortles was sacked four times and failed to throw a touchdown for the second straight week. He did, however, rush for 24 yards on five carries. At this point, Bortles, who has at least one interception in all nine of his starts, ranks among the lowest tier of fantasy quarterbacks, regardless of opponent.

Bortles (wrist) completed 22-of-37 passes for 290 yards and one interception in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.
Bortles, who dealt with a minor wrist injury throughout the week, had a decent game against the 7-3 Cowboys, registering 200 or more yards for the third straight week. However, he continues to struggle with decision-making, at times, and has now thrown at least one pick in each of his eight starts. The rookie spread the ball to nine different receivers, targeting Allen Robinson a team-high 10 times. It was Cecil Shorts who had the standout game, though, catching five Bortles passes for 119 yards, including a 53-yard reception in the second quarter. The Jaguars are off next week before traveling to Indianapolis to face the Colts on Nov. 23.
Sun Nov 9 201411:33Bortles (wrist) active for Sunday's game against Cowboys
Bortles (wrist) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Bortles did not miss any practice time after suffering a minor wrist injury last week. Interceptions are still a major issue for the rookie, but he has quietly been putting up borderline QB2 numbers recently, averaging 241 passing yards, 1.3 passing touchdowns and 33.3 rushing yards over his last four games. He might be able to find some success against a Cowboys pass defense that is starting to crumble.

Bortles (wrist) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Bortles suffered a minor wrist injury last Sunday, but he practiced fully all week, so don't expect him to be limited at all against the Cowboys.
Wed Nov 5 201411:05Bortles (wrist) full participant in Wednesday's practice
Bortles (wrist) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Bortles suffered a knock to his left wrist during last weekend's loss to the Bengals, but afterward ensured that he was fine. Judging by his full participation in Wednesday's practice, Bortles' non-throwing wrist appears to be a non-issue in advance of this weekend's game in London versus the Cowboys.

Bortles had his wrist examined following Sunday's game but was told he's "fine," Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports.
Bortles was favoring his wrist toward the end of Sunday's loss to the Bengals, in which he threw for 247 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. It does not appear to be anything serious, however, and his status should not be impacted in advance of next Sunday's matchup with the Cowboys.

Bortles completed 22-of-33 passes for 247 yards, two touchdowns and one pick in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.
Bortles commanded the offense well Sunday, tossing both touchdowns to rookie Allen Hurns. While he appeared more confident and played more efficiently, turnovers continue to be an issue for the rookie. Bortles has thrown at least one pick in all seven of his starts and has multiple interceptions in five of those games. He's a risky fantasy play, even in deeper leagues, though he has some upside as he continues to learn the Jacksonville offense.

Bortles completed 18-of-34 passes for 221 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Dolphins.
Bortles once again showed flashes of his potential but struggled with efficiency and added two more interceptions to his mounting season total (12). He's now thrown multiple picks in five of six games while tossing multiple touchdowns just once. While Bortles has been a bit volatile as a passer, he's been a consistent contributor on the ground since taking over the starting job from Chad Henne. The rookie tallied a career-best 48 yards on six carries Sunday, including a 32-yard third down scamper in the third quarter.

Bortles completed 17-of-31 passes for 159 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions, while also adding 37 rushing yards on five carries Sunday against the Browns.
Bortles connected with seven different receivers, throwing his lone touchdown pass to Allen Robinson, a 31-yarder with 27 seconds left in the first half to give Jacksonville the lead for good. Running back Denard Robinson shouldered the offensive load by carrying 22 times for 127 yards and a touchdown, which took enough pressure off Bortles, though the three interceptions can't be ignored. He has yet to pass for more than one touchdown since his Week 3 debut against the Colts, posting a 3:8 TD:INT ratio since then.

Bortles completed 32-of-46 passes for 336 yards, one touchdown and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Titans.
While the Jaguars dropped to 0-6 for the second straight season, Bortles had arguably his best performance as a pro. His completion and yardage totals were both career-bests, and he broke his three-week streak of multi-interception games. Bortles also rushed for a team-high 38 yards on five carries. At this point, he's still a low-tier quarterback option, but he carries considerable upside in some keeper or dynasty formats.

Bortles completed 22-of-36 passes for 191 yards and two interceptions in Sunday's 17-9 loss to Pittsburgh.
In his second NFL start, Bortles struggled to get anything going against a Pittsburgh defense that held Jacksonville to just 243 total yards. The 22 completions are encouraging, but Bortles threw two picks for the third straight game. The rookie spread the ball around to nine different receivers , targeting both Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns 11 times each. Bortles also ran for 14 yards on four carries, including an 11-yard scamper on the first drive of the game.

Bortles completed 29-of-37 pass attempts for 253 yards with one touchdown and pair of interceptions in Sunday's 33-14 loss at San Diego. He also ran five times for 24 yards.
Bortles certainly made some mistakes, but he also looked like the part of a first-round quarterback, making a number of big-time throws, including a 44-yard pass to Allen Hurns that should have gone for a touchdown, if not for Hurns tripping over his own feet with no one around. Given his above-average mobility for a big player, Bortles is someone that could be useful in many formats later in the season, as he gains more experience.
Sun Sep 21 201416:44Blake Bortles: Will Start in Week 4
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said after Sunday's loss to the Colts that Bortles would start the team's Week 4 matchup against the Chargers, Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports.
After vowing throughout the summer that Year 1 would be a redshirt one for Bortles, Bradley decided to change directions at quarterback after Chad Henne took 13 sacks over his last six quarters and guided the Jaguars to only one touchdown over his previous 30 drives. Bortles gave considerably more life to the offense in the second half, completing 14-of-24 passes for two touchdowns and two interceptions, while also rushing for 30 yards. A subpar supporting cast will probably prevent him to ascending beyond a No. 2 quarterback option in fantasy leagues this season, but he should at least give the Jaguars a flicker of hope on the offense end.
Sun Sep 21 201415:23Bortles started second half of Sunday's game against Colts
Bortles started the second half of Sunday's game against the Colts.
With starter Chad Henne looking ineffective as ever and the Jaguars trailing 30-0, coach Gus Bradley made the call to give the rookie his first NFL action. Bortles was impressive in the preseason, but the team was adamant that Henne would serve as the starter this season. Just three games in, that stance has been reversed, but it remains to be seen whether Bortles will continue to see action in subsequent weeks. As it stands now, neither quarterback has strong fantasy value, though Bortles' upside is considerably higher, should be eventually take over as the starter.
