Tue Nov 5 201300:48James Jones catches one pass in Week 9 return
James Jones caught one pass for 17 yards in Week 9 against the Bears.
Making his first appearance since suffering a Week 6 knee injury, Jones was targeted three times. After Aaron Rodgers went down with a left shoulder injury on the opening possession, Seneca Wallace came on and threw just 19 passes. Jones didn't play his normal snaps, as he was the No. 3 receiver and only entered in three-wide sets. He appeared healthy, but a lot hinges on Rodgers' health.

Mon Nov 4 201319:03James Jones (knee) active for MNF vs. Bears
James Jones (knee) is active for Monday night's Week 9 games against the Bears.
Jones was listed as questionable after returning to practice Friday and Saturday. He missed two games. Jones, Jordy Nelson, and Jarrett Boykin will comprise the Packers' three-wide set with Nelson likely manning the slot. Jones is a WR3 who may not play his full complement of snaps in the return. Inactive for the Packers are WR Chris Harper, CB James Nixon, OLB Clay Matthews (thumb), OLB Nick Perry (foot), TE Jermichael Finley (spine), DE Josh Boyd, and DE C.J. Wilson.

Sun Nov 3 201309:57Schefter: James Jones likely to play Monday
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports James Jones (knee) is likely to play Monday night against the Bears.
Jones got in two limited practices this week, suggesting he has a good chance to suit up after missing two games. With the Packers and Bears not kicking off until Monday night, it would be a bit of a gamble to plug Jones, who is shaping up as a game-time decision, into fantasy lineups. He'll be a WR3 if active.

Sat Nov 2 201313:46James Jones (knee) questionable for Week 9
James Jones (knee) practiced on a limited basis Saturday and is listed as questionable for Week 9.
It was his second straight limited practice after returning on Friday. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Jones "did more than yesterday" and is "up in the air" for Sunday's game. Jones is a full-blown game-time decision. He'll be a WR3 if active against the Bears.

James Jones (knee) is practicing again Saturday.
Beat writer Tyler Dunne observed Jones "doing everything" in the portion open to the media, suggesting Jones is getting in a full session one day after returning to practice on a limited basis. It appears Jones has a pretty good chance of suiting up Monday night against the Bears. Jones is a WR3.

Fri Nov 1 201315:04James Jones practiced on limited basis Friday
James Jones (knee) returned to a limited practice on Friday.
Jones looks to be trending in the right direction, but there is still no clarity regarding his Week 9 availability. He'll probably wind up as a game-time decision on Monday Night Football. Teams that play in MNFers do not release final injury report classifications until Saturday. We'd look for a questionable tag tomorrow from Jones. If Jones does return against the Bears, Green Bay's most likely three-wide package would have Jones and Jarrett Boykin outside with Jordy Nelson at slot receiver. Myles White would probably be the No. 4. All Packers wideouts are capable of playing all three of the receiver positions. It's an emphasis of the coaching staff.

James Jones (knee) remained absent from Packers practice Thursday.
It's a strong sign Jones will miss his third straight game when the Packers host the Bears for Monday Night Football. Jones will have to get in at least a limited session on Friday to have any real shot at playing. Owners should plan on another week of Jarrett Boykin starting opposite Jordy Nelson.

Nelson is locked in as a top-four receiver play while Boykin is Rotoworld's No. 22 receiver for Week 8. Consider Jones questionable for Week 9, though the feeling is he has a good shot to play next week.

James Jones (knee) is inactive for Week 7 against the Browns.
Green Bay's Week 7 inactives are Jones, CB Casey Hayward, RB James Starks, LB Clay Matthews, LB Nick Perry, LB Brad Jones, and TE Ryan Taylor. Sun Oct 20 201311:56James Jones expected to be inactive vs Browns
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports James Jones (PCL sprain) is expected to be inactive against the Browns.
The Packers host the Browns at 4:25PM ET. Although Jones was listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report, he was always expected to be inactive for this game after not getting in a single practice rep during the week. Look for Jordy Nelson and Jermichael Finley to be the focal points of Green Bay's passing offense, with another hefty workload for emerging RB1 Eddie Lacy.

Fri Oct 18 201313:39James Jones listed as questionable
James Jones (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 7 against the Browns despite not practicing at all this week.
The Packers seem to be attempting to give off the impression Jones has a chance to play, but in all likelihood his PCL sprain is at least a 1-2 week injury. Look for Jordy Nelson, Myles White, and Jarrett Boykin to formulate Green Bay's three-receiver packages in Sunday's game versus Cleveland.

Fri Oct 18 201312:45James Jones misses third straight practice
James Jones (knee) remained sidelined at Packers practice Friday.
It's looking like Jones is going to sit out this week against the Browns. He hasn't practiced at all since suffering a sprained PCL last week versus the Ravens. Fantasy owners need to make other plans for their WR3. Jordy Nelson and Jarrett Boykin will handle receiver duties, while Jermichael Finley will work the slot more this week. Brandon Bostick could see some work at tight end.

Thu Oct 17 201313:37James Jones misses another practice Thursday
James Jones (knee) remained out of Packers practice Thursday.
The Pack are hoping to know Jones' Week 7 status by Friday, but it's not looking like he's going to play. That would leave Jarrett Boykin as Aaron Rodgers' No. 2 receiver. Even if Jones does suit up, he'd likely be on a strict snap count. You need to be making other plans at your WR3 spot.
