Sat Oct 23 201009:10Woodson won't be moved to safety yet
Packers cornerbacks coach Joe Whitt acknowledged that LCB Charles Woodson could eventually move to safety, but it won't happen this season.
An executive in personnel for an NFC team who has seen every Packers game this season says of Woodson: "He can't cover anymore... He's a guesser with great anticipation and instincts. That's why he's been so productive." Although his cover skills have deteriorated, Woodson can still produce "splash" plays with the best of them.

Fri Sep 17 201013:43Charles Woodson listed as probable
Packers CB Charles Woodson (toe) is listed as probable for Week 2.
Woodson injured the toe leading up to Green Bay's season opener, but was a menace against Philadelphia, racking up four tackles, a forced fumble, and a pass breakup. He often misses practices, but rarely misses games.

Mon Sep 13 201008:40Woodson dealing with toe injury
Charles Woodson admitted that he injured his left big toe in the days leading up to Sunday's win.
Woodson didn't appear limited at all during the game. He had four tackles, forced a fumble and recorded a pass defensed. Although he does have a history of toe problems, this isn't a concern.

Tue Jul 13 201020:27Report: Woodson escapes house fire
Charles Woodson was one of more than a dozen people to escape a house fire in Bay Harbor, Michigan last Saturday.
More than 150 people gathered at the house Friday night to celebrate the Von Voigtlander Family's $15 million donation for a women's hospital at the University of Michigan. Woodson and his business partner were overnight guests in the multi-million dollar house and smelled smoke at 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning. All guests escaped unharmed, but the house burned to the ground.

Wed Jun 23 201009:39Woodson not feeling his shoulder
Charles Woodson says the achy shoulder that gave him problems last season has not bothered him at all this offseason.
Woodson didn't need surgery and has taken up boxing to help strengthen his upper body. A natural regression from his ridiculous 2009 campaign should be expected, but Woodson is set up for another All-Pro season. "I feel even better coming in this year than last year," Woodson said.

Wed Jun 16 201023:26Charles Woodson shows up to OTAs
Charles Woodson showed up to Packers OTAs Wednesday for the first time this offseason.
This should lay to rest any worry in Green Bay that Woodson might hold out. FOX 31 in Denver reported a week ago that Woodson was in search of a new contract. The 2009 Defensive Player of the Year has since denied the report, however, and is now participating in voluntary offseason workouts.

Tue Jun 8 201021:31Woodson: I haven't asked Packers for new deal
Charles Woodson refutes a report by Josina Anderson of Fox 31 Denver that he has discussed a new contract with the Packers.
"I don't know any Josina, and I haven't discussed anything with the Packers," Woodson texted. We were skeptical of the original report considering Woodson's age and the three years left on a reasonable contract. Though he's been watching practices of late, Woodson insists that his non-participation has nothing to do with his contract status.

Tue Jun 8 201012:56Report: Packers, Woodson talking contract
The Packers have reportedly begun talks with Charles Woodson on a new contract.
Woodson wants to cash in on his Defensive Player of the Year award with Darrelle Revis also pushing for a new contract. From the Packers side, though, it's hard to see a benefit to a new deal. Woodson turns 34 during the season, and he's already owed nearly $20 million over the next three years.
