Manning completed 26-of-46 passes for 211 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-13 loss to the Colts.
Manning started the game with an excellent drive that led to a one-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas, but it was all downhill from there. The 38-year-old quarterback spent the rest of the first half taking a surprising number of shots down the field, and he wasn't able to connect on any of them, with a lost fumble further hurting his cause. Manning threw more short passes in the second half, and yet the Broncos still had trouble sustaining drives. While a strong effort from the Vontae Davis-led Indy defense was a big factor, Manning struggled with his accuracy, throwing power and decision making. It was easily one of the worst games he's played in a remarkable career, and his inability to get any power behind his throws brings up questions about his health. Of course, Manning hasn't displayed good arm strength in quite some time, as he's mostly made a living in Denver with excellent pre-snap reads and accurate short or intermediate passes. If it was just this one game, the poor showing... [More]

Manning (thigh) completed 21-of-37 passes for 273 yards in Sunday's win over the Raiders.
The Broncos led for nearly the entire game, leaving little for Manning to do, as running back C.J. Anderson scored three touchdowns before two minutes had expired in the third quarter. Manning threw for at least three touchdowns eight times in the first 12 weeks, but he's thrown only three touchdowns in the last four games, which getting picked off six times. He finishes the regular season with 4,727 yards and 39 touchdowns, both very impressive figures, though both also down from his 5,477 yards and 55 touchdowns last season.

Manning (thigh) completed 28-of-44 passes for 311 yards, with two touchdowns and four interceptions, in Monday's 37-28 loss to the Bengals.
Manning's late-season slump continued, and while he led a vicious rally during the third quarter, he otherwise struggled throughout the game. Rarely do you see a four-interception game where all the picks can primarily be blamed on the quarterback, but that was the case for Manning in rainy weather Monday night. The third interception was a killer, as the Broncos were trailing by two in the final three minutes, only to see Manning hand away a pick-six that essentially sealed the game. He threw another ugly interception on the following drive, ending any hope for a last-ditch comeback. The poor effort will raise further questions about Manning's health, but with the Broncos needing a win to lock down a bye week, the future Hall of Famer will presumably take the field for a favorable Week 17 matchup against the Raiders.

Manning (thigh) is listed as active for Monday's game against the Bengals.
Despite the questionable designation, it would have been a surprise if Manning, who has uncharacteristically attempted just 20 passes in each of his last two outings, sat this one out, though it's possible that the veteran signal-caller could be somewhat hampered by his thigh issue on Monday.
Sun Dec 21 201412:04Manning (thigh) will play Monday against Bengals
Manning (thigh) will play Monday against the Bengals, the Denver Post reports.
Manning is officially listed as questionable for the game, but head coach John Fox indicated Saturday that he fully expects his starting quarterback to play. After blistering play for much of the season, Manning has failed to reach even 235 passing yards in his lat three games, while throwing only one touchdown in his last two. With the Broncos still needing at least one win to clinch a first-round playoff bye, Manning will be on the field and unlikely to be limited against the Bengals.
Sat Dec 20 201414:04Peyton Manning: (Thigh) Questionable for Monday
Manning (thigh) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Cincinnati after logging a limited practice Saturday, ESPN's Jeff Legwold reports. Despite the questionable tag, Manning is expected to start.
Although he was limited, the fact that Manning was present for each practice this week means he's full expected to start. As his playoff-eligible owners know all too well, Manning is in a three-game slump at the moment, and it's understandable to fear a fourth disappointing game as he takes on a tough Cincinnati pass defense. Still, Manning's three-game stat line of just 585 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions seems like a major outlier, so he's bound to get back to his usual per-game production soon enough. For what it's worth, Emmanuel Sanders (flu-like symptoms) left Saturday's practice but is expected to play Monday.
Fri Dec 19 201419:48Manning (right thigh) listed as limited in Friday's practice
Manning (right thigh) was listed as limited in Friday's practice, ESPN.com reports.
Per the report, Manning threw more Friday than he did during Thursday's practice and remains on track to start Monday's game against the Bengals. We'll revisit the veteran QB's status Saturday, when then Broncos release their final injury report in advance of the contest.
Thu Dec 18 201418:09Manning (thigh) listed as limited practice participant Thursday
Manning (thigh) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday, ESPN.com reports.
The report adds that Manning, who is expected to practice Friday, was spotted walking without a limp Thursday. In any case, we'd expect the veteran QB to be fine for Monday night's game against Cincinnati. We'll let you know if that assessment changes.
Thu Dec 18 201414:47Manning (right thigh) rested during Thursday's practice session
Manning (right thigh) was rested during Thursday's practice session, ESPN's Jeff Legwold reports.
Manning, who was on the field for the Broncos' walk-through and stretches Thursday, is expected to practice Friday, with the QB's status for Monday's game against the Bengals in no real doubt at this stage.

Manning, who felt ill before Sunday's game against the Chargers and had an IV during halftime, suffered a thigh injury during the game but played through the ailment and finished with 233 yards and one touchdown on 14-of-20 passing.
Manning left the field with just under two minutes to go in the first half to get the IV, and news later came out that he was also dealing with a thigh injury. However, he came out for the second half and eventually threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Demaryuis Thomas in the third quarter that turned out to be enough for the victory, which gave the Broncos their fourth consecutive AFC West title. He was seen grimacing later in the game, but there didn't appear to be any indications that he would come out again. With the Broncos still needing at least one victory to clinch a first-round playoff bye, Manning will be under center in Week 16 against the Bengals, who are 12th against the pass this season.

Though Manning is reportedly feeling under the weather and also dealing with a thigh injury, he returned to action in the second half of Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Manning owners can breathe a sigh of relief, with the star QB back in the game for the Broncos' first possession of the third quarter.

Manning (thigh) is considered probable to return to Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Brock Osweiler replaced Manning late in the second quarter of Sunday's game, but at this point, it looks as though Manning will probably be able to re-enter the contest once the second half gets underway.

Manning completed 14-of-20 passes for 173 yards and two interceptions during Sunday's 24-17 win over the Bills.
After throwing for four touchdowns against the Dolphins in Week 12, the fourth time this season he had thrown that many scores, Manning has posted fewer than 180 passing yards in back to back games, with a 2:3 TD:TO ratio over that span. Whether it's directly related or not, Manning's struggles have come with tight end Julius Thomas on the sideline thanks to an ankle injury, one that allowed him to be active for Sunday's game but he was unable to get on the field. It doesn't get much easier in Week 15, as the Broncos will face off against a Chargers defense allowing the fifth-fewest passing yards per game this season, though a win for the Broncos would clinch their third consecutive AFC West title.

Manning completed 17-of-34 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 29-16 win over the Chiefs.
Manning was sharp during the first quarter, when both of the Broncos' drives went for touchdowns. He was surprisingly inaccurate thereafter, but C.J. Anderson and the Denver defense more than picked up the slack. While this obviously isn't the Broncos' usual blueprint for winning, the team's running game and defense have both looked excellent at times this season. Still, Manning will likely be asked to do more in Week 14 against the Bills, a team with one of the NFL's best front sevens.

Manning completed 28 of 35 passes for 257 yards and four touchdowns Sunday against the Dolphins.
Without tight end Julius Thomas (ankle), or running backs Montee Ball (groin) and Ronnie Hillman (ankle), Manning completed passes to only five receivers, throwing 26 of his 35 passes to wideouts Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, the latter of which caught three of the four touchdowns, with Wes Welker grabbing the other. It was Manning's second-lowest yardage total of the season, though the fourth time since Week 5 that he's thrown for at least four touchdowns. Up next is a Week 13 matchup against the Chiefs, who he threw for 242 yards (a season-low) against in Week 2, though he did pass for three scores.

Manning completed 34 of 54 passes for 389 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions Sunday against the Rams.
His worst game in a Broncos uniform, Manning failed to throw for multiple touchdowns for the first time this season. While he struggled throughout the game, injuries played a big factor, as tight end Julius Thomas (12 touchdowns this season) suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter and did not return, and wideout Emmanuel Sanders (six TDs) suffered a concussion in the third quarter, though he did have 102 yards and a score at the time of his departure. In addition, running back Montee Ball, playing for the first time since Week 5, re-injured his groin and did not play in the second half. It all added up to trouble for Manning, who could be without his top tight end, second-best wideout, and former-starting running back in Week 12 against the Dolphins, a team allowing the second-fewest passing yards per game this season.

Manning completed 31 of 44 passes for 340 yards, with five touchdowns and two interceptions Sunday against the Raiders.
Manning threw two early interceptions but was absolutely dominant after that, connecting with seven different receivers on the day, throwing touchdowns to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (two), tight end Julius Thomas (two) and running back C.J. Anderson. It was the ninth time in his career that he has thrown five touchdown passes, and he has now reached 29 for the season. Up next is a Week 11 matchup against the Rams, who are allowing the eighth-fewest passing yards per game this season, though Manning is a must-start in virtually every league regardless of opponent.

Manning completed 34 of 57 passes for 438 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 43-21 loss to the Patriots.
Manning connected with eight different receivers, throwing touchdowns to tight end Julius Thomas and running back Ronnie Hillman, while wideouts Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas both finished with more than 125 yards. However, his two picks were costly mistakes and failed to keep the Broncos in the game, as they trailed 27-7 at halftime and 37-21 at the end of the third quarter. It was only the second time this season that Manning failed to throw for at least three touchdowns, though he broke the 425-yard mark for the second time. Up next is a Week 10 matchup against a Raiders defense that is much better against the pass than the run this season.

Manning completed 25-of-35 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns in Thursday's 35-21 win over the CHargers.
A modest showing by Manning's own ridiculous standards, but he played a nearly flawless game for the Broncos, avoiding any sacks and turnovers as the team only punted four times. All three scoring passes went to Emmanuel Sanders, who is finally turning his plethora of receptions into touchdowns. The Denver offense seems to be no less efficient than it was last season, but with the team's defense quite clearly improved, Manning be do a bit less throwing. It's only a minor concern, as he's still on pace for 50 touchdowns and nearly 5,000 passing yards, heading into a Week 9 road matchup with the Patriots.

Manning completed 22-of-26 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday's 42-17 win over the 49ers.
Manning needed just three passing touchdowns to break Brett Favre's all-time mark of 508, and the 38-year-old had his record before halftime in one of the most efficient outings of his career. He led the Broncos to six touchdowns in eight drives against an injury-depleted San Francisco defense, then gave way to backup Brock Osweiler for the entire fourth quarter. Now six games into the season, Manning is on pace for similar numbers to those he recorded in his record-smashing 2013 campaign. He won't have to wait long to add to his record total of 510 career touchdowns, as the Broncos will face a slumping Chargers defense in San Diego on Thursday.
