Thu Sep 23 201008:21Hartley bounces back with big game
Garrett Hartley went 3-for-3 in Week 2, including a 37-yard game-winner.
Hartley has an extremely long leash, so Week 1's 0-for-2 showing was never a concern. He's one of the league's best kickers in one of the league's best offenses, an ideal situation for fantasy owners.

Fri Sep 10 201010:30Payton: Garrett Hartley is our kicker
Coach Sean Payton confirmed Friday that K Garrett Hartley's job is secure after missing two field goals in Thursday's season opener.
"A year ago I would have had three kickers in today," conceded Payton. "[But] he kicked well in the postseason ... he's our kicker." The player deemed a "fat, punk kicker" by former Saints LB Scott Fujita should be fine. There's nothing in his track record to suggest this was anything more than an aberration.

Fri Sep 10 201000:54Hartley misses both field goal attempts
Garrett Hartley missed field-goal attempts for 46 and 32 yards in Thursday's win against the Vikings.
Hartley can take solace in the Saints pulling out the victory, but he wasn't drafted as an elite fantasy kicker to go wide left. The good news is that Hartley had only missed two three-points in his career until Thursday. The bad news is that Kris Brown and Shayne Graham could be on speed dial if the performance is repeated.

The hero of last year's NFC Championship Game is picking up right where he left off. He's a strong bet to end the season as the league's No. 1 kicker while playing in a dome for the Saints' elite offense.

Sun Jun 6 201014:28Hartley working on leg conditioning
Garrett Hartley said his focus this offseason is "leg conditioning."
Now entrenched as the the unquestioned starter, Hartley is perfecting his craft. He didn't get his job back from John Carney until Week 13, but went 9-for-11 in those final five weeks and then was 5-for-5 during the Saints' Super Bowl run. He'll be among the top fantasy kicking options this season.
