Matt Slauson has officially beaten out rookie Vlad Ducasse for the starting left guard job.

Matt Slauson has all but locked up the Jets' starting left guard job.
Slauson has ran with the first team all camp and started both preseason games ahead of developmental rookies Vladimir Ducasse. With the Jets in "win now" mode, they can't afford to live with the mistakes Ducasse will inevitably make. Ducasse remains the player with more upside and the future at the position.
