Wed Sep 18 201315:41Charles Tillman (knee) held out on Wednesday
Bears CB Charles Tillman (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
It's likely just a maintenance day, as Tillman played through the injury last week. He's not in any danger of missing Sunday night's game against the Steelers.

Mon Sep 9 201312:02Charles Tillman played through illness
Charles Tillman was spotted vomiting multiple times on the sidelines Sunday before receiving an IV of fluid at halftime.
Tillman gave up nine catches, 162 yards and two touchdowns to A.J. Green. Perhaps his illness is partially to blame. Tillman was ProFootballFocus' No. 3 overall corner last season and we'd expect a bounce-back performance against Greg Jennings and the Vikings in Week 2.

Sat Jan 26 201313:47Tillman in line for an extension with Bears?
The Bears may look to extend CB Charles Tillman's contract this offseason.
Tillman, 32 next month, has one year left on a seven-year contract and will count $8 million against the salary cap in 2013. Chicago could possibly lower that hit by extending Tillman, who is still at the top of his game. Beat writer Brad Biggs says Tillman could then transition to safety some day down the line. He's spent all ten seasons of his career with the Bears, picking off 33 passes.

Fri Nov 30 201216:12Charles Tillman expected to play Sunday
Bears CB Charles Tillman (ankle) is expected to play in Week 13 against the Seahawks.
The Bears will be without Devin Hester (concussion) and Alshon Jeffery (knee), but they'll have WLB Lance Briggs, RB Matt Forte, and Tillman despite the latter three's inability to finish the game in last week's win over Minnesota. We like Tillman to match up with Sidney Rice for most of this Sunday's affair.

Tue Nov 27 201209:04Report: Tillman has chipped bone in foot
A source tells the Chicago Tribune that Bears CB Charles Tillman has a chipped bone in his foot.
It's not as bad as it sounds. Tillman actually left Sunday's win over the Vikings, was allowed to come back in and then left for good. He was spotted in a walking boot afterward, but hasn't been ruled out for this week's game against the Seahawks.

Mon Nov 26 201211:28Charles Tillman expected to be fine
A source tells ProFootballTalk.com that Bears CB Charles Tillman (ankle) is expected to be "fine."
Tillman appeared to sprain his ankle during Sunday's win over the Bears and was spotted in a walking boot afterward. It's unclear if "fine" means he avoided a fracture or if it means he's battling a Grade 1 sprain. We'll know more after coach Lovie Smith addresses the media.

Thu Sep 13 201213:33Bears CB Tillman expected to play
Despite the "questionable" tag, Bears LCB Charles Tillman (shin) is expected to play at Green Bay Thursday night.
Tillman missed the majority of the season opener and sat out practices this week. He won't be 100 percent for the intra-division showdown. This is still a quality matchup for a Packers passing game that has enjoyed success against Lovie Smith's defense.

Wed Sep 12 201217:35Tillman questionable for Thursday night
Charles Tillman (shin) was limited in Wednesday's practice and is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Packers.
The Bears will turn to Kelvin Hayden if Tillman is not able to play. Tillman was injured early in the Week 1 contest against the Colts. Hayden came off the bench and recorded seven total tackles and a pass defensed. Owners in IDP leagues may want to take a long look at Hayden against the high-powered Packers pass attack.

Mon Sep 10 201213:29Charles Tillman expected to play in Week 2
Bears coach Lovie Smith expects LCB Charles Tillman (leg) to play Thursday night against the Packers.
"Yes, I do. Glass half-full always. So, yes," said an admittedly optimistic Smith. Tillman suffered a lower-leg injury early in Sunday's win over the Colts and did not return. On a short week, he'll still be in a race to get ready.

Mon Sep 10 201209:46Charles Tillman not considered serious?
Charles Tillman's leg injury is not expected to be serious.
Tillman left in the first quarter of Sunday's win over the Colts and did not return. The team did not comment after the game, but teammate Tim Jennings said it's "nothing serious that we have to worry about. He's going to rest it, take as much time as he needs. We know weƒ?Tve got a big game coming up." If Jennings can't go against the Packers, they'd be forced to turn to veteran Kelvin Hayden.

Sun Sep 9 201215:14Bears CB Tillman out with leg injury
Bears CB Charles Tillman was forced from Sunday's Week 1 game versus the Colts with a leg injury.
Tillman is done for the afternoon after originally sustaining the injury in the first half. Kelvin Hayden has come on as his replacement. With Reggie Wayne as the only reliable option in the passing game, the Colts don't have the firepower to exploit Tillman's absence.

Sat Sep 8 201211:09Charles Tillman is a fumble forcing machine
Bears CB Charles Tillman has forced 28 fumbles since entering the league in 2003.
That's the most by any defensive back over that span. While you can't count on your DBs to force fumbles, it's a nice added bonus in IDP leagues. He's Rotoworld's No. 16 DB this week.

Fri Nov 18 201109:57Briggs: Tillman playing at an 'All-Pro level'
Teammate Lance Briggs believes Bears RCB Charles Tillman is playing "at an All-Pro level" this season.
Tillman is coming off a masterful performance against Calvin Johnson, including three passes defensed while providing sticky coverage. The Cover-2 Bears are actually using man-to-man coverage roughly 50 percent of the time since Chris Conte and Major Wright took over at safety.

Tue Mar 8 201114:56Tillman played 99.4 percent of snaps
Bears RCB Charles Tillman missed just six of the defense's 1,038 snaps in 2011.
Staying relatively injury-free was just one of several reasons the Bears' 11-5 record included an incredible amount of luck. Having undergone two back surgeries and two shoulder surgeries, Tillman hadn't played all 16 games in a season since his 2003 rookie year. Now 28, Tillman is under contract for three more seasons.

Sat Dec 18 201020:30Charles Tillman limited in practice this week with foot injury, ...
Charles Tillman has been limited in practice this week with a foot injury, but is expected to start Monday Night at Minnesota.
Rookie Joe Webb is expected to make his first NFL start, and doesn't pose a daunting matchup for the Bears' secondary. The Vikings are expected to employ a run-heavy offensive attack in a game that's sure to see plenty of snow and wintry weather. Zach Bowman is next on the LCB depth chart behind Tillman, who is likely to line up opposite WR Percy Harvin.
