Myers recorded no receptions on two targets in Saturday's preseason game against the Bills.
Myers and Austin Seferian-Jenkins both got significant run with the first-team offense, though they combined for just one catch and 11 yards. Myers may have a shot to start the regular-season opener, but Seferian-Jenkins is a better blocker with much greater potential. Even if the Bucs make frequent use of two-TE sets, it's hard to envision Myers besting his production from last season, when he caught 47 passes for 522 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games for the Giants.

Myers was listed as the top tight end Tuesday on the Buccaneers' initial preseason offensive depth chart, according to the team's official site.
While Myers' name may be atop the team's TE depth chart for now, there's plenty of competition for snaps at the position heading into the preseason, specifically from rookie Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Tim Wright and Luke Stocker. The report notes that Myers does a little bit of everything well, which should ensure him a role in the team's attack, but Seferian-Jenkins has had a good training camp thus far and still looks like the upside play in fantasy.

Sun Dec 29 201318:52Brandon Myers causes two INTs in loss
Brandon Myers caught two passes for nine yards in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Redskins.
Myers was also targeted on both of the Giants' interceptions. He proved to be a severe downgrade on Martellus Bennett this season, posting 47 catches for 522 yards with four touchdowns while playing in all 16 games. Myers will head back to free agency as a 28-year-old plodder with limited upside as a pass-catching tight end. He'd do well to get another one-year, $2.25 million deal like he got from the Giants.

Sun Dec 22 201320:00Brandon Myers held to 53 yards in Week 16
Brandon Myers caught four balls for 53 yards in the Giants' Week 16 win over the Lions.
Aside from underneath, checkdown-type completions, Myers' most notable play was missing a chip block to allow Nick Fairley to sack Eli Manning for a safety, narrowing Detroit's deficit to 13-12 late in the third quarter. Myers signed what is essentially a one-year contract in the offseason, in the hopes Giants renowned TE coach Mike Pope could coach him up into a solid starter. It hasn't happened. The G-Men close out the year against Washington in Week 17.

Thu Dec 5 201313:51Brandon Myers expected to practice Friday
Brandon Myers (groin) is expected to practice on Friday after missing Thursday's session.
Myers was limited to exercise-bike duties on Thursday, but it sounds like his injury is minor. The mid-range TE2 should be good to go against the Chargers.

Thu Dec 5 201312:44Brandon Myers not practicing Thursday
Brandon Myers (undisclosed) is not practicing Thursday.
Myers was riding the bike while the rest of the team worked out. He didn't appear to get injured during Sunday night's win at Washington, so it could be a rest day for the veteran. We'll know more after practice.

Mon Dec 2 201301:03Myers finds end-zone again in Week 13
Brandon Myers caught five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night's Week 13 win over the Redskins.
Myers scored on a wide open pass over the middle of the field at the end of the first half and finished behind only Victor Cruz with six targets. He's now managed touchdowns in back-to-back games and will be on the TE2 radar for Week 14 against the Chargers.

Sun Nov 24 201320:15Myers goes for 39 yards, touchdown
Brandon Myers caught three balls for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Giants' Week 12 loss to the Cowboys.
Myers' touchdown came against a Cowboys defense that obviously lacked awareness as LB Bruce Carter and S Jeff Heath stood idly by while Myers -- who they apparently thought was tackled -- never got touched and danced into the end zone for a 27-yard score. His other two receptions were dump-offs, which is typically how Myers catches passes. He isn't remotely on the TE1 radar.

Sun Nov 17 201321:44Myers catches three passes in win
Brandon Myers caught three passes for 32 yards in Week 11 against Green Bay.
A week after seeing zero targets, Myers was the intended receiver on four of Eli Manning's 35 throws. Still, he hasn't done much since the early part of the season and remains a fantasy non-factor as a TE2/3.

Sun Nov 10 201318:01Brandon Myers isn't targeted in victory
Brandon Myers wasn't targeted in New York's Week 10 win over the Raiders.
It's the second time in four games Myers was held without a target. What little PPR-league value Myers had has just about vanished.

Sat Nov 2 201318:31Brandon Myers still adjusting to offense
The Newark Star-Ledger reports TE Brandon Myers is still adjusting to the Giants offense and has "struggled to get on the same page" with Eli Manning.
Myers is being asked to do more blocking this season, resulting in just 23 catches for 265 yards and one touchdown through eight games. "We've had to keep the protection in a little more," tight end coach Michael Pope said. "The other thing is our receivers have been where a good part of our passing game starts, the reads begin there." Myers has been a complete non-factor since the first two weeks of the season and is no higher than the No. 4 option in the passing game. He won't be more than a low-end TE2 when the Giants come out of their bye.

Sun Oct 27 201317:13Brandon Myers clinches game with late catch
Brandon Myers caught three passes for 42 yards in Sunday's Week 8 win at Philadelphia.
Myers saw just four targets on the day even though Eli Manning attempted 39 passes. But with the Giants in desperate need of a third-down conversion to help close the game out late, Eli found his lumbering tight end. Myers' first year in New York hasn't gone as hoped as he's on pace for just 46 catches, 530 yards and two touchdowns. He's a weak TE2 when the Giants come out of their bye.

Tue Oct 22 201301:19Brandon Myers catches two passes in MNF win
Brandon Myers caught two passes for 15 yards in Week 7 versus Minnesota.
Myers was targeted just three times. Both of his receptions were good for third-down conversions. Myers has been a complete non-factor since catching 13 passes combined in Weeks 1 and 2. He has just seven catches since and is a low-end TE2.

Fri Oct 11 201300:31Brandon Myers held without a catch vs. Bears
Brandon Myers was held without a catch in New York's Week 6 loss to the Bears.
Myers' lone target of the night resulted in a game-sealing interception for Eli Manning. The pass was a bit high, but the 6-foot-3 tight end should have made the play. The volume-dependent TE2 now has just five catches over his past four games. You can do better for fantasy purposes.

Thu Oct 10 201318:56Brandon Myers (ankle) active for TNF
Brandon Myers (ankle) is active for Week 6 against the Bears.
As is DE Damontre Moore (hamstring), who was originally listed as doubtful. Averaging just 3.6 catches, Myers is a low-upside TE2. Also incative for the Giants are RB David Wilson, CB Corey Webster, CB Jayron Hosley, TE Adrien Robinson, C David Baas, S Cooper Taylor and QB Ryan Nassib. Da'Rel Scott and Brandon Jacobs will split the load in Wilson's absence. Neither is a viable FLEX option.

Wed Oct 9 201313:53Brandon Myers (ankle) questionable for TNF
Brandon Myers (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's Week 6 game against the Bears.
Myers put in a second straight limited practice Wednesday after sitting out on Monday. Myers hasn't put up big numbers in recent weeks, but he'll be a high-end TE2 this week in what has the makings of an Eli Manning passing-fest.

Tue Oct 8 201312:40Brandon Myers is practicing Tuesday
Brandon Myers (ankle) returned to practice Tuesday.
Myers is now on track to play in Thursday's game against the Bears. Their Cover-2 defense often yields production to opposing tight ends, but it's hard to trust Myers right now. He's totaled a paltry five catches for 68 yards over the last three weeks.
