Bills DE Dwan Edwards is a candidate to be released this offseason.
Edwards isn't a good fit for the new 4-3 defense, and coordinator Dave Wannstedt indicated Thursday that he doesn't want situational players. Grading out well below average as a run defender, according to Pro Football Focus, Edwards isn't worth his $3.8 million salary.

Bills coach Chan Gailey indicated that Dwan Edwards' hamstring injury will keep the defensive end out indefinitely.
Edwards will likely undergo testing today, but Gailey is expecting the worst. "Not good. Not good," said Gailey. Already without Spencer Johnson (hamstring), the Bills may have to hit the wire for an end. Edwards has 57 tackles and a sack while playing in every game so far this season.

Trainers were checking out Edwards' left leg, and he ended up limping off with a hamstring injury. He's officially doubtful to return. Spencer Johnson is inactive this week, so the Bills are thin up front.
