Foote posted six tackles (five solo) in Sunday's win against the 49ers, while taking all 64 defensive snaps, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
Foote's impression of departed inside linebacker Karlos Dansby stops at his tackle count, as the former has accounted for just one interception and no other counting stats outside of 22 tackles (17 solo). If he plays the entire 16-game slate, Foote would be in line for just the third 100-tackle campaign of his 13-year career.

Foote recorded eight tackles (four solo) and the game-ending interception in Sunday's victory versus the Giants at New York.
Foote isn't providing the pass rushing chops of Karlos Dansby, who departed in free agency during the offseason, but the former is nonetheless providing stability at inside linebacker for the Cardinals this season. Through two contests, Foote sits in a tie with strong safety Tony Jefferson for the team-lead in tackles with 16, a pace in line with Dansby from 2013 and by far a career-best for the 13-year pro.

Foote played all 61 defensive snaps during Monday's win against the Chargers, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
Foote backed up the usage by contributing a team-high eight solo tackles with two tackles for loss and one pass defended. While the 34-year-old won't replicate all current Brown Karlos Dansby did for the Cardinals last year, Foote displayed a steadiness that will be required of a defense without Darnell Dockett (knee) and Daryl Washington (suspension) this season.
Sun Jun 1 201415:28Larry Foote to replace Daryl Washington
Cardinals LB Larry Foote is expected to take over Daryl Washington's old inside linebacker position.
Kevin Minter is replacing Karlos Dansby. It's a huge downgrade for Arizona's defense, which is also dealing with a significant knee injury to FS/CB Tyrann Mathieu, and will open the season vulnerable in the middle of the field. The 2014 Cards will lean heavily on 34-year-old Foote, 33-year-old DE Darnell Dockett, and 36-year-old OLB John Abraham. A step back for this defense is inevitable.

Free agent ILB Larry Foote has no immediate plans to retire.
The 34-year-old (in June) Foote was released by the Steelers on Wednesday. He'd still like to play for a contender, but it would only be as a backup and special teamer. Foote missed nearly all of the 2013 season due to a torn biceps.

Wed Mar 5 201416:22Steelers release long-time ILB Larry Foote
Steelers released ILB Larry Foote.
Foote has spent 11 of his 12 seasons with the Steelers and may choose to hang up the cleats at 34 years old (in June). He appeared in just one game last season before tearing his biceps. Foote started all 16 games in 2012 and recorded a career-high 113 tackles and four sacks. The move saves the Steelers over $1.1 million.

Tue Mar 12 201314:21Steelers keep ILB Foote with three-year deal
Steelers re-signed ILB Larry Foote to a three-year contract.
Foote remains in the Steel City to start opposite Lawrence Timmons. Coming off the best statistical season of his career - 113 tackles, four sacks - Foote was drawing serious interest from the Cardinals. Going on 33, Foote's best football is well behind him, but his return stems the brain drain in the Steelers' linebacker corps after James Harrison was released on Saturday. It's quite possible Foote will end up playing just one year of his "three-year deal."

Tue Mar 12 201313:18Steelers step up contract talks with Foote
The Steelers have stepped up negotiations with free agent ILB Larry Foote in an effort to keep him away from Arizona.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported early Tuesday that Arizona had emerged as the "strong favorite" to sign Foote. The Steelers have less cap space to work with, but want Foote back to play adjacent to Lawrence Timmons. The Cards can win a bidding war. There just shouldn't be one for a 33-year-old inside 'backer.

Tue Mar 12 201309:46Larry Foote likely to sign with Cardinals?
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora says the Cardinals are "strong favorites" to sign free agent ILB Larry Foote.
The Cardinals have a desperate need for a reliable tackler to play next to the dynamic Daryl Washington. Foote isn't a long-term solution as he enters his age-33 season, but he could serve as a low-end stopgap. In 16 starts for the Steelers last season, Foote set career-highs in tackles (113) and sacks (four).

Sun Feb 17 201310:09'Good chance' Steelers bring back LB Foote
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says there's a "good chance" the Steelers re-sign ILB Larry Foote to a one-year deal.
Foote, 32, has been a Steeler for his entire career aside from a one-year stop in Detroit that didn't work out as planned. The 11-year veteran started all 16 games in 2012 and is the team's defensive play-caller. Foote has slowed down, but he did set career-highs in tackles (113) and sacks (four) last season. He said after the season that he wants to play for Pittsburgh or retire.

Tue Jan 22 201312:03Larry Foote will be a Steeler or retire
Impending free agent ILB Larry Foote said he wants to play for the Steelers or no one in 2013.
Foote will turn 33 years old in June and is in rapid decline. If the Steelers choose to bring him back, he'll likely have to accept a minimum contract. If they choose to move to a younger option such as in-house candidates Sean Spence or Stevenson Sylvester, Foote says he'll retire.

Sun Dec 23 201222:26Larry Foote may consider retirement
Steelers ILB Larry Foote, an impending free agent, told reporters after Sunday's Week 16 loss that he may consider retirement in the offseason.
Foote has been a starter all season, but he's struggled mightily, particularly as a run defender. He probably won't return to Pittsburgh. "I wouldn`t be surprised if this is my last year," he said. "I wouldn`t be surprised if I did come back next year. I`m at that age when you never know what`s going to happen."

Mon Jun 4 201218:03Larry Foote set to replace Farrior
Linebackers coach Keith Butler says there "won't be much drop-off" as Larry Foote replaces James Farrior on the inside.
Farrior is considering retirement after the Steelers declined to bring him back. Foote has spent nine of his 10 NFL seasons with Pittsburgh, so the transition should be smooth. IDP owners should note that Farrior racked up 78 tackles and two sacks in 14 games last season.

Tue Mar 27 201209:23Larry Foote expected to start in 2012
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin confirmed Tuesday ILB Larry Foote is expected to take the released James Farrior's place in the starting lineup.
Three months shy of his 32nd birthday, Foote has started just five games since re-signing with Pittsburgh in 2010, but is the Steelers' only viable in-house candidate to replace Farrior. Middle linebacker figures to be a priority for Pittsburgh in next month's draft.

Thu Mar 1 201219:12Steelers likely to release Farrior or Foote
NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora confirms the Steelers will likely release either ILB Larry Foote or ILB James Farrior.
Farrior's agent expect his client to get the ax, and Foote is nearly six years his junior. The most likely scenario is Foote filling in as the starter while the Steelers develop a middle linebacker prospect from the upcoming draft.
