Steelers RE Brett Keisel's foot injury is a case of plantar fasciitis, but coach Mike Tomlin believes he has a "legitimate opportunity to play" in Week 12.
Per Tomlin, the same is true of OLB LaMarr Woodley (calf) and LG Ramon Foster (high-ankle sprain). Keisel had yet to miss a game this season before being inactive for Sunday's win over the Lions. He has 25 tackles and two sacks through nine games, and has graded out as the No. 25 3-4 end in Pro Football Focus' ratings.

Steelers RE Brett Keisel admits 2013 may be his final season.
"It's definitely possible," Keisel said. "It's not a secret that I'm one of the older guys on the team, the oldest guy on the defense." Coming off a 4.5-sack season, Keisel is once again expected to hold off Cam Heyward for Pittsburgh's starting right end gig. His 40 hurries led the team last season. Going on 35, Keisel isn't signed beyond 2013.

Steelers RE Brett Keisel suffered a "severe" groin injury in Sunday's Wild Card loss, and is a candidate for offseason surgery.
Keisel missed two games earlier in the year with a knee injury, but was his usual productive self when on the field, tallying three sacks, two forced fumbles and 48 tackles in 14 games. Soon to be 34, Keisel has missed 14 of a possible 64 games the past four seasons.

Steelers RE Brett Keisel says he will return from his sprained PCL in Week 5 against Tennessee.
Keisel missed the last two games, and Ziggy Hood struggled mightily as a run defender in his absence. Hood will now kick over to left end, replacing Aaron Smith (foot). Chris Johnson does not have a prohibitive Week 5 matchup.

Steelers RE Brett Keisel has been added to the AFC's Pro Bowl roster, replacing Dwight Freeney (undisclosed).
Freeney is believed to be dealing with a minor injury. Keisel, 32, becomes the fourth Steeler on the AFC roster. It's also his first trip to Honolulu. Keisel finished the regular season with 33 tackles, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. He missed five games due to calf and hamstring injuries.
