Fri Sep 5 201419:05Maclin (hamstring) not on injury report for Week 1
Maclin (hamstring) is not on the injury report for Week 1.
Maclin will start Sunday's game against Jacksonville, his first regular season action since Dec. 30 of 2012. He has much better pedigree than fellow starting wideout Riley Cooper, who made it to 800 yards and eight touchdowns in the Chip Kelly offense last year, so it's easy to see Maclin providing WR3 value or better if he can have some good injury luck. He caught six passes for 43 yards in Philadelphia's third preseason game.

Maclin (hamstring) caught six passes for 43 yards on eight targets in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.
Maclin was responsible for perhaps the most unusual moment of the night, as he went down with a non-contact injury, but then returned to the field shortly thereafter. He was holding the leg in which he tore an ACL last season, yet showed no signs of being any worse for the wear. Locked in as a starter across from Riley Cooper, Maclin is a decent bet to lead the Eagles' receiving corps in catches and targets, though Nick Foles' attention will likely be spread around. The hamstring that recently bothered Maclin seems fine, and he'll likely sit out the final preseason game.
Mon Aug 18 201413:42Maclin (hamstring) returned to practice Monday
Maclin (hamstring) returned to practice Monday, csnphilly.com reports.
Maclin's practice participation Monday was characterized as limited by the Star-Ledger. Meanwhile, Riley Cooper also practiced Monday, with the report suggesting that the Eagles' starting wideout duo is expected to play in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.
Sun Aug 17 201411:43Maclin (hamstring) will not practice Sunday
Maclin (hamstring) will not practice Sunday, but is expected to be a full participant during Monday's session, CSN Philadelphia reports.
Maclin tweaked his hamstring during practice last week, which caused him to miss Friday's preseason game against the Bears. However, had it been the regular season, Maclin reportedly would have been healthy enough to play. As such, his injury isn't cause for much concern and he'll return to action Monday. With Riley Cooper (foot) also back practicing, the Eagles will finally have their top wideout tandem available come Monday.

Maclin (hamstring) is among the Eagles in line to not play Friday night against the Patriots, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Maclin, who did not participate in Thursday morning's walkthrough, is thus far downplaying his hamstring issue. Meanwhile, fellow starting wideout Riley Cooper is also slated to sit out Friday's contest.

Maclin (hamstring) did not participate in Thursday morning's walkthrough, csnphilly.com reports.
Maclin, who tweaked his left hamstring during Wednesday's practice, is thus unlikely to play in Friday night's contest against the Patriots. Meanwhile, Maclin, who missed all of last season with a torn ACL, downplayed his most recent injury, indicating after Wednesday's practice that "it shouldn't be a big deal." For now, we'll consider the wideout day-to-day.

Maclin left Wednesday's practice early and later said he slightly tweaked his left hamstring while making a touchdown catch, CSN Philadelphia reports.
Maclin exited Wednesday's session as a precaution and still hopes to play in Friday's second preseason game, although he's unsure if he'll be able to do so. Projected to be Philadelphia's No. 1 wideout this season, Maclin may err on the side of caution considering he's coming off an ACL tear last summer. Fortunately, Maclin doesn't consider the hamstring tweak to be serious, so even if he sits out Friday's game, he should be back in action fairly soon.
Sat Aug 9 201401:40Maclin (leg) started Friday's preseason opener against Bears
Maclin (leg) started Friday's preseason opener against the Bears, CSN Philadelphia's Geoff Mosher reports.
Maclin caught one pass for 15 yards on a lone target. He's locked in as a starter and appears to be Philadelphia's most dangerous wide receiver. The minor leg soreness he experienced earlier this week can be considered a non-issue.
Tue Aug 5 201414:07Maclin says he's experiencing minor leg soreness
Maclin says he's experiencing minor leg soreness, but still expects to play in Friday's preseason opener versus the Bears, CSN Philadelphia reports.
Maclin has not scrimmaged the past two days of practice, but maintains that his exclusion from such team drills is due to standard leg soreness that occurs while recovering from an ACL tear. Expected to be the Eagles' No. 1 receiver, Maclin also admitted he hadn't felt sore until Monday. Considering his scenrio, it wouldn't be surprising if Maclin sat out Friday's game, even though he expects himself to play.

Maclin did not participate in team drills for the second straight day Tuesday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Maclin has been practicing and is not considered to be injured, but his exclusion from scrimmage work this week is worth noting. Additionally, reports suggest that it wouldn't be surprising if Maclin, who tore his ACL last July, didn't play in the Friday's preseason opener. Should that prove true, it's likely the Eagles are just exercising caution with Maclin in anticipation of him filling their No. 1 receiver role this season.
Mon Jul 28 201410:06Chip Kelly: Maclin looks 'fantastic'
Coach Chip Kelly said Jeremy Maclin (ACL) looks "fantastic" so far.
Maclin is one year removed from his ACL tear and penned in as the No. 1 wideout for Nick Foles. He's cutting, planting and bursting without issue. Maclin will be playing the DeSean Jackson "Z" role, a spot that led to D-Jax posting career outlier numbers in his first year under Chip Kelly.

Mon Jul 14 201410:46Jeremy Maclin: In some ways, I feel faster
Jeremy Maclin (ACL surgery) says that in some ways, he now feels faster.
Maclin participated fully in the entire offseason program, making a strong return from his July 2013 tear. "In some ways I feel more fresh, more physically strong," he said. "I just think you put so much hard work into your rehab process that that's kind of what happens. You get that leg back. You build that leg back stronger." With DeSean Jackson now a Redskin, Maclin is Nick Foles' "Z" receiver and No. 1 wideout. He's playing on a one-year "prove it" deal.

Tue Jun 17 201420:32Jeremy Maclin (knee) has had full spring
Jeremy Maclin (knee) has practiced in full for the Eagles' entire offseason program.
"I've been getting better each and every day, and I'm really happy with my progress," Maclin said. "I feel good, I don't feel I lost a step, and I'm getting in and out of breaks well." Now nearly 11 months removed from tearing his left ACL, Maclin is a WR3 with WR2 upside in Chip Kelly's offense.

Mon Jun 2 201415:40Maclin expected to be fine after knee scare
Jeremy Maclin tweaked his left knee at Monday's practice, but is expected to be fine.
Maclin is recovering from a torn right ACL. Maclin went down in a heap, but "bounced up from the turf and walked back to the huddle" after only a few moments. Monday's incident isn't a concern for Maclin's 2014 status, but a reminder of his relative fragility.

Fri May 30 201415:15Jeremy Maclin lining up at D-Jax's position
Jeremy Maclin is lining up at DeSean Jackson's old position at right-side wide receiver during Eagles OTAs.
Maclin is the new "Z", with Riley Cooper at "X." Rookie Jordan Matthews was excused to attend an NFLPA event, but has been lining up at slot receiver in a Marques Colston-type role. Maclin probably won't do as much slot work as Jackson did -- D-Jax lined up there on 30 percent of his snaps -- but will do the heavy lifting outside. Maclin is a WR3 fantasy pick with WR2 upside.

Thu May 29 201420:59Chip Kelly: Maclin looks 'fantastic' in OTAs
Speaking Thursday, Eagles coach Chip Kelly said Jeremy Maclin (knee) has looked "fantastic" in OTAs.
Maclin is 10 months removed from tearing his ACL, and if he isn't 100 percent already, he will be for training camp. He'll be a WR3 with upside as the Eagles' nominal No. 1 receiver this season.

Fri Apr 25 201417:09Jeremy Maclin could see time at slot receiver
Jeremy Maclin expects to see some playing time in the slot this season.
Depending on what the Eagles do in the draft, Maclin is a candidate to start at X-receiver and move to the slot in three-wide sets. "I think I'll do a little bit of everything," Maclin said. "I'm a guy they can move around in different positions." Coming off ACL surgery, Maclin has been cleared for limited work during OTAs and expects to be 100 percent for training camp.

Thu Apr 24 201412:54Jeremy Maclin says he's fully recovered
Jeremy Maclin (knee surgery) said that if training camp started today, he'd have no limitations.
Unlike Robert Griffin III during the 2012 season and Rob Gronkowski last year, Maclin's ACL tear occurred during the preseason. The extra months gives him a far more optimistic projection going forward. By the time camp rolls around, Maclin will already be a full year removed from his tear. The Eagles gave him a vote of confidence as their No. 1 wideout when they dumped DeSean Jackson.

Mon Mar 3 201408:53Maclin reiterates confidence in knee rehab
Jeremy Maclin (knee) reiterated that he expects to be 100 percent for the first day of training camp.
Maclin tore his right ACL in late July, seven years after suffering the same injury to the same knee prior to his freshman season at Missouri. He says he's making excellent progress this time around. "I'm running, I'm cutting, I'm lifting," he said after signing his one-year deal with the Eagles. "I'm happy with where I am." If truly healthy, Maclin will run circles around Riley Cooper as they battle for snaps in two-wide sets. But given the history of his right knee, we can't be certain that will be the case.

Fri Feb 28 201415:40Eagles re-sign Maclin to one-year, $3.5M deal
Eagles agreed to terms with WR Jeremy Maclin on a one-year, $3.5 million contract with a max value of $6 million.
It's a master stroke by the Eagles, keeping 25-year-old Maclin off the market where he surely would've been a hot commodity despite last year's ACL tear. Maclin is fully expected to be ready by training camp. Turning 26 in May, Maclin posted a 69-857-7 season in 2012 and will return to compete with Riley Cooper for No. 2 receiver duties in Chip Kelly's attack. The Eagles are highly run based and Maclin will struggle for consistent week-to-week targets, making him a borderline WR3 as it pertains to fantasy. In real-life football, Maclin's return combined with Cooper and Zach Ertz's ascension gives Kelly's offense a shot at being even more "multiple" and explosive than the 2013 version, which ranked No. 2 in the NFL in total yards and No. 4 in points scored.
