Fri Oct 29 2010 | 12:01 | Griffin closing in on interception record |
Titans FS Michael Griffin needs an interception this week to tie Pete Jacquess' (1964) franchise record with a pick in five straight games. |
Much like baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs' superstitious routine of pregame fried chicken and beer, Griffin has a ritual of his own. "I have been eating hot wings every Saturday night," Griffin said. "I stop at Pizza Hut and get me the 12-piece hot wings." Hey, it beats drinking Patron with LenDale White. |

Thu Aug 5 2010 | 10:26 | Griffin healthy after serious shoulder injury |
Titans FS Michael Griffin's shoulder, surgically repaired in January, was far worse than anyone believed during his disappointing 2009 season. |
The procedure repaired Griffin's labrum, requiring 11 anchors "almost completely encircling the shoulder." Griffin was also bothered by turf toe and undisclosed "personal issues" during the season. Griffin is healthy again and "100 percent committed," according to coach Jeff Fisher. He was considered one of the rising stars at his position at the end of 2008. |
