Tue Nov 20 201218:09Troy Polamalu will try to run this week
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac, Troy Polamalu (calf) will attempt to resume running this week.
Dulac also clarified that Polamalu's injury is a torn calf. Polamalu will not play in Week 12 against the Browns, and he's extremely doubtful for the Steelers' Week 13 rematch with the Ravens. The fact that Polamalu is just now trying to run again doesn't bode well for his chances of returning anytime soon.

Sat Oct 27 201214:49Polamalu's calf a 'serious concern' for PIT
Steelers SS Troy Polamalu's right calf injury is being described as a "serious concern."
Polamalu has played in just two games in 2012, which has limited him to just 77 snaps. He originally suffered the strain in Week 1, but he then rushed back too early and re-aggravated the issue against the Eagles in Week 5. Polamalu is considered week-to-week at this point. Although Pittsburgh is ranked second in overall defense, they have graded out poorly against the run and the team's pass rush leaves a lot to be desired.
