Panthers SLB Thomas Davis said he actually feels healthier now than when he first blew out his knee in 2009.
Davis' 2009 ACL tear was the first of three he would suffer in a two-year span. But after sustaining health throughout 105-tackle 2012 season, he finally feels back to 100 percent. With Luke Kuechly in the middle and Jon Beason on the weak side, this Panthers' linebacking unit has a chance to be a difference-maker.

Wed Jun 26 201317:49Panthers pleased with Thomas Davis' move
The Panthers are pleased with WLB Thomas Davis' transition to the strong-side.
The local media had ticketed Davis for the weak-side with Jon Beason manning the strong-side, but that apparently won't be the case. "He's adjusting very well to playing on the strong side," said LBs coach Al Holcomb. "He's picking up the checks, he's communicating more. ... He has exceptional ability for the position, in terms of his movement and his ability to close on the football." Davis successfully returned from the third torn right ACL, but was hit-and-miss across 15 games. Davis turned 30 in March.
