Stewart had 20 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Saints.
Stewart got the start in place of the injured DeAngelo Williams (finger), and he absolutely dominated the Saints, posting his highest rushing total since he gained 206 yards on 28 carries against the Giants in Week 15 of the 2009 season. After back to back solid performances (he had 12 carries for 85 yards in Week 13 against the Vikings), Stewart should get a bulk of the backfield touches in Week 15 against a Bucs defense allowing 116.0 rushing yards per game this season.
Fri Dec 5 201413:08Stewart expected to start
With DeAngelo Williams (finger) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, Stewart is expected to start, the Charlotte Observer's Joe Person reports.
Fozzy Whittaker will get some opportunities as well, but Stewart is expected to carry the load. Although Carolina's offensive line isn't anything special, Stewart may still find success against the Saints. New Orleans ranks 23rd in the league in rushing yards allowed, and its 13 rushing touchdowns surrendered ranks next-to-last.

Stewart had a team-high 12 carries for 85 rushing yards and two catches on two targets for 25 receiving yards Sunday against the Vikings.
A very solid performance for Stewart, who grossly outplayed fellow running back DeAngelo Williams, who finished with only seven carries for 21 rushing yards while failing to catch a pass. Williams suffered an arm injury in Sunday's game, and if he has to miss any time, Stewart will get a majority of the carries in Week 14 against the Saints, a team allowing the 10th-most rushing yards per game this season.

Stewart (ankle) had seven carries for 24 yards and caught 3-of-3 targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Falcons.
Stewart didn't do much outside of a 13-yard run at one point, and wasn't afforded many opportunities, as the Panthers trailed the entire second half. Meanwhile, DeAngelo Williams had 10 carries for 41 yards, while catching his lone target for negative yardage. Stewart is on bye next week, so he won't be available until Week 13, when he'll face an average Vikings' rush defense.

Stewart (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Stewart is averaging a respectable 4.4 yards per carry in four games since returning from injury, but the Panthers plan to start DeAngelo Williams at running back Sunday. The two will likely split carries fairly evenly as they did last week, but the timeshare situation makes it difficult to rely on Stewart as much more than an RB3/flex.
Fri Nov 14 201414:31Stewart (ankle) probable for Sunday's game against Atlanta
Stewart (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
DeAngelo Williams is expected to start for Carolina, leaving Stewart to play in an off-the-bench role, though the carry split should be fairly even. He has run surprisingly well in the last four weeks, totaling 211 yards and a touchdown on 48 carries, but his lack of a steady workload makes him a hit-or-miss fantasy gamble.
Wed Nov 12 201418:22Jonathan Stewart: (Ankle) Limited Wednesday
Stewart (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday.
During Monday's blowout loss at Philadelphia, Stewart and DeAngelo Wiliams handled most of the touches among Panthers backs prior to garbage time, but Williams joined Stewart on Wednesday's injury report, missing practice altogether due to a foot concern. Once again, Carolina's running back situation is in flux, as Fozzy Whittaker and Chris Ogbonnaya exist as the sole fully healthy options at the moment. Expect further clarity regarding Stewart and his cohorts as the weekend approaches.

Stewart had 11 carries for 36 yards and a touchdown, with four receptions for 23 yards in Monday's 45-21 loss to the Eagles.
DeAngelo Williams had 13 carries for 31 yards, with another 17 yards on three receptions. Fozzy Whittaker got a bunch of work in garbage time but was otherwise not a part of the offense. Stewart got both goal-line carries, and he once again looked surprisingly spry, showing that he's a tough man to tackle on the rare occasions when he's fully healthy. In any case, it's hard to get excited about either runner in this split backfield, as the Panthers have a flailing offense that's held back by one of the NFL's worst lines.

Stewart gained 46 yards on eight carries in Thursday's 28-10 loss to the Saints.
One week after rushing for a season-high 79 yards on a season-high 16 carries against the Seahawks, Stewart had his work limited by the return of DeAngelo Williams (ankle), who managed just 20 yards on eight carries and 30 yards on one reception. Stewart ran hard and broke some tackles, but he'll likely continue to split the work with Williams, at least for as long as both backs stay healthy. None of Carolina's running backs has done much as a receiver this season, but Stewart typically handles the passing-down work over Williams.

Stewart's teammate, DeAngelo Williams, is active for Thursday's game against the Saints.
Stewart carried a season-high 16 times for 79 yards in Week 8, but he's now slated to combo up with Williams in some form of time-share on Thursday, with NFL Network's Jeff Darlington having relayed earlier this week that Williams is on track to draw the start.

Stewart rushed a season-high 16 times for 79 yards and caught three passes for 15 yards in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.
Stewart displayed toughness running the ball Sunday, as he averaged nearly five yards per carry against an accomplished Seahawks front-seven. In doing so, Stewart commanded 19 total touches, his most since October of 2012. As long as teammate DeAngelo Williams (ankle) remains sidelined, Stewart is expected to be featured as the Panthers' top tailback. If that continues into Thursday's matchup versus the Saints' defense, Stewart's fantasy prospects would appear favorable.

Stewart (knee) rushed for 55 yards on 14 carries and caught one pass (on two targets) for 12 yards in Sunday's loss to the Packers.
Stewart ended his three-week absence by starting Sunday's game, but found little real estate in the Panthers' running game. Furthermore, with Carolina trailing by multiple scores early on, the Panthers opted to throw more often, somewhat limiting Stewart's touches. However, despite coming off an injury spell, Stewart looked perfectly healthy and ran hard Sunday, an encouraging development for fantasy owners. With the Panthers' backfield still banged-up, a fit Stewart offers good fantasy value as the team's featured ball-carrier.
Sun Oct 19 201411:42Stewart (knee) active for Sunday's game against Packers
Stewart (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Packers.
Stewart is back in the saddle after sitting out three consecutive games, and the Panthers will welcome him back with open arms after watching the running game struggle during his absence. Coach Ron Rivera said Stewart will be the starter, but if the Panthers choose to ease him back into action in his first game back, Chris Ogbonnaya and Darrin Reaves could get some carries as well.

Coach Ron Rivera said Stewart (knee) will start Sunday against Green Bay, the Panthers' official site reports.
Stewart is finally healthy enough to return after missing three consecutive games, and the Panthers will be happy to have him back after their three-headed replacement backfield accomplished very little in his absence. The Packers have arguably the worst run defense in the league, but keep in mind that the Panthers may ease Stewart back into action, so don't count on him getting 20-plus carries.
Thu Oct 16 201412:10Stewart (knee) indicated that he expects to play
After practicing fully Wednesday, Stewart (knee) indicated that he expects to play, and start Sunday's game against the Packers, the Charlotte Observer reports.
To that end, Stewart continued to practice Thursday, and barring any setbacks, he looks poised to draw a probable designation Friday and return to the Panthers' backfield mix Sunday, after a three-week absence. With DeAngelo Williams still hurting, and both Fozzy Whittaker and Darrin Reaves banged up as well, we suspect that the Panthers will be inclined to give Stewart as much work as his knee can handle this weekend.

Stewart (knee) expects to play this Sunday versus the Packers.
Stewart was dressed in full pads for Wednesday's practice and took all the reps he was scheduled for, indicating Stewart is in good standing to end his three-game sideline spell. If that proves to happen, the Panthers would finally have a proven running back to turn to, likely relegating Darrin Reaves (calf) and Fozzy Whittaker (quadriceps) to their usual reserve roles.
Wed Oct 15 201413:20Stewart (knee) donning full pads at practice Wednesday
Stewart (knee) was donning full pads at practice Wednesday, Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Despite fitting in two limited practices to conclude last week, Stewart was deemed inactive for a third game in a row Sunday at Cincinnati. His likely full participation in drills Wednesday is encouraging to note, as the Panthers would have a viable RB option to include in the rushing attack Sunday in Green Bay for the first time in weeks. However, after a dubious start to the season, the Packers have held opposing backfields to less than 100 yards rushing in back-to-back contests, which could once again cap the potential of Carolina running backs.

Stewart (knee) could return to full participation at Wednesday's practice.
Stewart has not played since spraining his left knee in Week 3, but has practiced in a limited capacity for parts of the past two weeks. After being scratched in a game-time decision over the weekend, Stewart could return in full for practice this week, which would put him in good standing to play Sunday versus the Packers. As a result, Stewart's status should be monitored throughout this week, especially considering the Panthers' dire situation at running back.
Sun Oct 12 201411:30Jonathan Stewart: (Knee) Will Not Play
Stewart (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Stewart will miss a third consecutive game, leaving the Panthers to once again turn to a three-man committee of Darrin Reaves, Fozzy Whittaker and Chris Ogbonnaya.
