Thu Jun 17 2010 | 11:55 | Kiwanuka not ruling out training camp holdout |
Mathias Kiwanuka, entering the final year of his contract, hasn't ruled out a training camp holdout. |
The Giants may be reluctant to extend Kiwi after drafting Jason Pierre-Paul this year. "I'll sit down with my agent, discuss the right strategy and pick a right time and approach to bring it up," said Kiwanuka. It's not his style to make waves, so we wouldn't expect him to miss training camp time. |

Osi Umenyiora saw some first-team action at OTAs with Kiwanuka tending to his brother after a motorcycle accident, but the RE job in New York looks to be Kiwi's to lose. Kiwanuka should get a healthy bump up IDP draft boards. |

Fri May 21 2010 | 18:50 | Kiwanuka works as first-team right end |
Mathias Kiwanuka worked as the Giants' first-team right defensive end during Organized Team Activities. |
In a surprise, he's already ahead of Osi Umenyiora. Coordinator Bill Sheridan's plan is to use a three-man rotation at defensive end, also involving left end Justin Tuck. Tuck will easily be the best bet for tackles and sacks. |
