Mon Mar 10 201410:07Andrew Quarless getting heavy interest
The player rep for free agent TE Andrew Quarless says he's had discussions with eight teams since Saturday.
As an all-around tight end with athletic upside, Quarless is a hot name. The Packers want him back and the Giants (with former Green Bay TE coach Ben McAdoo) are going after him as well. We don't know the other teams that have reach out to Quarless, but the Patriots, Bills, Lions, Falcons, Bucs and Jets are among the league's more tight-end needy teams.

Thu Mar 6 201417:49Packers in 'regular contact' with TE Quarless
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports the Packers have been in "regular contact" with free agent Andrew Quarless.
With free agent Jermichael Finley's (neck) status still up in the air, the Pack could find themselves short at tight end if Quarless walked. Quarless has been linked to the Giants and former Pack assistant Ben McAdoo. Quarless is Rotoworld's No. 9 free-agent tight end.

Wed Mar 5 201409:49Report: Quarless near top of Giants' TE list
Sources tell NJ.com that free agent Andrew Quarless is near the top of the Giants' list at tight end.
It's been a revolving door of late for the Giants at the tight end spot, with Martellus Bennett and then Brandon Myers both walking after signing one-year deals. There's an obvious connection to Quarless as new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, who was the Packers tight ends coach from 2006-11. He'd be a low-cost, in-line option that could pair with unproven pass-catching specialist Adrien Robinson in a two-headed monster. The Giants are also expected to kick the tires on Jermichael Finley and Garrett Graham.

Fri Jan 17 201420:05Giants could show interest in TE Quarless
The Newark Star-Ledger expects the Giants to show interest in free agent TE Andrew Quarless this offseason.
Quarless made 10 starts filling in for Jermichael Finley this season, finishing with a career-high 32 catches, 312 yards, and two touchdowns. He has a history with new Giants coordinator Ben McAdoo, who served as the Packers TE coach from 2006-2011, and could be a low-cost option to replace impending free agent Brandon Myers. Second-year TE Adrian Robinson is also expected to be given an opportunity to earn a bigger offensive role in 2014.

Sun Jan 5 201419:58Quarless held to one catch for eight yards
Andrew Quarless caught one pass for eight yards in the Packers' Wild Card round loss to San Francisco.
Quarless ran a handful of checkdown routes in the flats, but primarily helped Green Bay's offensive line attempt to block San Francisco's overwhelming defensive front. Although Quarless turned in career highs across the board in the 2013 regular season, he is a plodding in-line tight end with very little long-range fantasy appeal. Quarless is also an impending free agent.

Quarless flashed extremely strong hands all afternoon, making contested catches. He either moved the chains or scored on five of his six grabs. The game was in stark contrast to Quarless' Week 14 performance, where he struggled to make plays in traffic. Despite the big day, Quarless will remain a low-end TE2 for the final week of the fantasy playoffs.

Matt Flynn continually gave Quarless chances to make plays in contested situations, and the lumbering blocking tight end delivered en route to the best fantasy day of his four-year career. Even with Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) potentially due back in Week 15, Quarless won't be a TE1 option against Dallas.

Tue Nov 5 201300:34Quarless leads Pack with five catches on MNF
Andrew Quarless caught five passes for 34 yards in Week 9 against the Bears.
Drawing another start in place of Jermichael Finley (spine), Quarless led the team with his five catches on eight targets. He likely would have been credited with another catch on a third-and-11 pass that Quarless bobbled near the sideline. The Packers opted not to challenge the call, though they likely would have won it. The five grabs will likely be a season-high. Avoid Quarless in fantasy.

Mon Oct 28 201300:48Quarless starts, has two catches
Andrew Quarless had two catches for 13 yards in Week 8 against the Vikings.
With Jermichael Finley sidelined, Quarless started and was used strictly as a blocking, in-line tight end. He managed to secure both of his targets in the passing game, but doesn't have a defined role in the offense. Quarless can continue to be avoided in the majority of fantasy leagues.
