Kerley (personal) is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Kerley was listed as probable despite not practicing Thursday or Friday, so it's not overly surprising that he's active. That being said, he's still a very limited fantasy option, having failed to reach even 30 receiving yards in six straight games.

Coach Rex Ryan said that he expects Kerley (personal) to play Sunday against the Steelers, ESPN.com reports.
Kerley missed practice Thursday, and per the report will likely miss Friday's session as well, but Ryan suggested that Kerley will be fine for Sunday's contest.
Thu Nov 6 201414:36Kerley (personal) did not practice Thursday
Kerley (personal) did not practice Thursday, Seth Walder of the Daily News reports.
We'll revisit Kerley's status as Sunday's game against the Steelers approaches, though Walder indicated on Thursday that Kerley may also miss the Jets' Friday practice session.

Kerley had a quiet afternoon (two catches, 11 yards) in Sunday's loss at Kansas City.
Kerley was targeted four times for the game. Most of New York's passing attack was focused on Percy Harvin and Eric Decker, who combined for 20 receptions.

Kerley is expected to sign a four-year contract extension with the Jets on Tuesday, ESPN reports.
Kerley is currently playing on the final year of his rookie contract, but with over 1,500 receiving yards since 2012, the wideout has done enough to spark the Jets' interest in retaining him long-term. Upon recently acquiring Percy Harvin to go with the offseason signing of top wideout Eric Decker, New York inking Kerley to a new deal solidifies their top three wide receiver positions for the coming seasons.

Kerley might be in for less targets going forward now that the Jets have acquired Percy Harvin.
New York often used Kerley in creative and gadgety ways; plays that Harvin is better suited for.

Kerley caught 2-of-5 targets for 29 yards in Thursday's 27-25 loss to the Patriots.
A strong Week 3 showing provided false hope, with Kerley since recording just seven receptions for 60 yards on 21 targets over the last four games. There isn't a ton of hope for his role to increase, as the 1-6 Jets would be wise to build the offense around WR Eric Decker, TE Jace Amaro and RB Chris Ivory, all players with much higher long-term ceilings than Kerley's.

Kerley secured just one of seven targets in Sunday's loss to Denver.
The grab went for all of four yards. The Jets offense can't support multiple pass catchers, and some weeks it doesn't support any at all. You should be able to do better than Kerley in standard formats.

Kerley had three catches for 24 yards in Sunday's blowout loss at San Diego.
That line made Kerley the dean of New York's wideouts, though it's a disappointing line given that Eric Decker didn't play. Kerley is tough to trust heading into Week 6's game with Denver.
Mon Sep 29 201417:24Kerley targeted just three times in Sunday's loss to Detroit
Kerley was targeted just three times in Sunday's loss to Detroit. He finished with one reception for three yards.
A disappointing showing from Kerley after an encouraging one just a week earlier. His production was hurt by Eric Decker's presence, and the emergence of tight end Jace Amaro (five catches). Only two NFL clubs are on Week 5 bye, which means you can probably ignore Kerley against San Diego next week.

Kerley caught 7-of-11 targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-19 loss to the Bears.
With Eric Decker (hamstring) only able to make a token appearance, Kerley was the team's clear top option in the passing game. While he shouldn't be counted on for touchdowns or long gains, Kerley will see plenty of targets if Decker misses any time beyond Monday. Even if Decker returns, Kerley looks to be the second fiddle in a talent-lacking passing attack.

Kerley caught just three of eight targets in Sunday's loss at Green Bay, finishing with 59 total yards (22 receiving, 37 rushing).
Kerley also caught the touchdown pass that wasn't - a 37-yard score that was washed out by a New York timeout called before the play. It's odd to see Kerley make a downfield play, as he's normally used on the shorter routes - significantly capping his fantasy upside. He's at Chicago for Week 3.

Kerley caught all five of his targets in Sunday's victory over Oakland, finishing with 38 yards.
Kerley's game is working underneath as a possession receiver, as exhibited here. He's not a big touchdown scorer and doesn't offer much fantasy upside, though PPR players might look to him during thin weeks.

Kerley caught one pass for 21 yards on one target in Saturday's preseason game against the Bengals.
With Eric Decker (quad) sidelined, there was more to go around for Kerley, Stephen Hill and David Nelson, all of whom are jostling for snaps and targets behind the former Bronco. None of the three made much of an impression, but Kerley has the least to gain or lose, as he's seemingly locked in as the slot man. The illness Kerley dealt with a couple of weeks ago does not appear to be a lingering issue.
Tue Aug 5 201413:28Kerley missed Tuesday's practice due to illness
Kerley missed Tuesday's practice due to illness, ESPN New York reports.
Kerley's illness is not considered serious, even though it's uncertain whether the wideout will be able to play in Thursday's preseason opener. Whenever he returns to the fold, Kerley figures to assume one of the Jets' top receiving positions behind first-option Eric Decker this season.
