Sun Dec 15 201321:17Kerley takes step back in Week 15
Jeremy Kerley was held to one catch for 25 yards in Week 15 against the Panthers.
Kerley was held without catch until the Jets' final drive of the fourth quarter and finished with just three targets. It was a major step back after he caught four passes for 41 yards and a touchdown in his return to the lineup last week. Kerley will be nothing more than a low-upside WR in Week 16 against the Browns.

Fri Dec 6 201313:20Jeremy Kerley practices again
Jeremy Kerley (elbow) participated in Jets practice again Friday.
Not that we expect Kerley to "save" Geno Smith, but the rookie QB has fallen off of a cliff ever since Kerley's elbow dislocation. So his return can only help. Kerley will play against Oakland. He just won't be a fantasy option.

Thu Dec 5 201314:05Jeremy Kerley expected to return for Week 14
Jeremy Kerley (elbow) looked "outstanding" in Thursday's practice, and is expected to return for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
The same is true of Santonio Holmes. Kerley last played in Week 9. His return is undoubtedly a boost for the Jets' tattered offense, but isn't going to make that much a of a difference in the grand scheme of things. Geno Smith is playing that poorly. Kerley can't be trusted as more than a WR5.

Sat Nov 23 201309:53Jeremy Kerley had rare elbow injury
Jets coach Rex Ryan revealed Jeremy Kerley's dislocated left elbow was a rare injury.
Rex deemed Kerley "very doubtful" to play in Week 12 against the Ravens. His Week 13 status is uncertain. "There hasn't been a whole lot of receivers that have had this injury, like three in the last 10 years," Ryan said. "The young man, to his credit, he wants to be out there in the worst way." Kerley isn't worth a roster spot in 12- or 14-team fantasy leagues.

Jeremy Kerley (elbow) is practicing in a red non-contact jersey Wednesday.
Kerley was working off to the side, apparently to ensure his dislocated elbow doesn't take any hits. Given that, it's hard to see him playing in a game anytime soon. David Nelson and Santonio Holmes project as the Jets' top-two wideouts this week.

Mon Nov 4 201322:40Kerley dislocates elbow, will miss a few wks
Jeremy Kerley has been diagnosed with a dislocated left elbow and is expected to miss a "few weeks."
Kerley was originally feared to have a season-ending injury. Instead, he'll likely miss just 2-3 games. That's pure speculation on our part. The Jets are entering their bye week before traveling to Buffalo and Baltimore in Weeks 11 and 12. Kerley's loss will be felt. He leads the team with 28 catches for 347 yards and two touchdowns. Kerley is Geno Smith's safety blanket in the slot.

Sun Nov 3 201321:55Jets fear WR Kerley has serious elbow injury
ESPN New York's Rich Cimini reports the Jets fear Jeremy Kerley's left elbow injury is "serious."
The NY Daily News' Manish Mehta reports Kerley may have an elbow subluxation, or a dislocation. Kerley isn't an All-Pro player, but he is a big part of the Jets' offense as a chain-mover in the slot. He has 29 receptions and two touchdowns through eight games, and it isn't as if New York is loaded at wideout, although Santonio Holmes (hamstring) is due back after the Week 10 bye. David Nelson could wind up as the Jets' slot receiver the rest of the way if Kerley's injury is season ending. Holmes and Stephen Hill would work outside.
