Sun Mar 17 201314:38Browns don't view Buster Skrine as starter
The new Browns coaching staff does not envision CB Buster Skrine as a starter.
Ray Horton's staff thnks Skrine "may" have a future as a nickel or dime back, but they're still in the market for a starter opposite Joe Haden. Skrine was stretched in six starts last year, struggling mightily in coverage. He's been better as a slot corner. Skrine has just one interception through 32 career games.

Fri Oct 12 201214:24Skrine to cover the slot for Browns
Browns CB Buster Skrine will move inside and cover the slot with Joe Haden returning from suspension.
Skrine will be issued the task of covering the Bengals' Andrew Hawkins on Sunday, and that matchup favors Hawkins considerably. Hawkins beat Cleveland for 56 yards and a touchdown on two catches in Week 2, but he saw just three targets. Look for Cincinnati to exploit Cleveland with its speedy slot man this week. Skrine is replacing injured Dimitri Patterson.
