He also committed an ugly drop. Moore didn't get very many chances to make plays on an afternoon where Terrelle Pryor struggled mightily. Moore will be a mid-range WR3 against the Texans' stout pass defense in Week 11.

"I'm feeling confidence from within myself and from the team," Moore said. "Terrelle and I are really starting to click. It started in practice, and now we're transferring it to the games." Moore has resurfaced as a WR3 in recent weeks. He has 15 catches for 274 yards and two touchdowns in his last three games. Moore also seems to have found a cure to his case of the drops that plagued him during the summer. Moore is Rotoworld's No. 41 receiver for Week 6.

Moore was the clear No. 1 option in the passing game and finished with a team-high eight targets. He repeatedly beat the Chargers for big plays downfield, including a 32-yard catch in the first half. Moore is a very talented receiver, but he's very inconsistent in terms of on-field performance and plays in a passing game that'll inevitably be inconsistent with Terrelle Pryor at quarterback. View Moore as a dicey WR3 entering Week 2 against Jacksonville.

The one catch came on a bubble screen where Moore came up short of first-down yardage. Moore has four preseason receptions for 55 yards and a TD. He has very little chance of breaking out in a dysfunctional Raiders offense.

CSN Bay Area calls Denarius Moore the "most frustrating player" of Raiders camp.

It's a sentiment shared by the Raiders' coaches. Per beat writer Scott Bair, Moore "still makes great plays," but "makes an equal number of inexcusable mistakes." Raiders OC Greg Olson wants Moore to become more of a "self-starter," but it's possible he's peaked in the Raiders' dysfunctional offense. Receiver-needy teams aren't doing their job if they aren't trying to buy low on the supremely talented third-year pro.

Speaking Tuesday, Raiders OC Greg Olson questioned Denarius Moore's maturity.

"To me, it's that whole character issue, becoming a self-starter, becoming a self-motivated person, and a lot of it comes with maturity," Olson said of Moore's inconsistency. "I think he'd be the first guy to say we're constantly on top of him ... But I think he's becoming a more mature player." Moore's struggles can in large part be attributed to the lack of talent around him, but it's clear he shouldn't escape blame. Even if he gets his head on straight, Moore is likely in for another long season in Oakland's moribund offense.

CSN Bay Area calls Denarius Moore's training camp performance a "real source of frustration," plagued by inconsistency.

Moore was outstanding as a rookie in 2011, but his game has plateaued or even regressed. Per beat writer Scott Bair, Moore shows the capability of "dramatic catches" but too often follows them with "embarrassing drops." Deep threat Moore is going to be a tough match with noodle-armed QB Matt Flynn.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen doesn't believe Denarius Moore is consistent enough yet to be considered a "go-to" receiver.

"He's going to have to go up and make the contested plays, and he's going to have to make sure he doesn't have those concentration drops that he had at times last year," Allen said. "(It's) as much about the mental part of it as the physical part of it." Moore indeed struggled with drops last season, and was prone to disappearing for long stretches. Considering the lack of talent around him, it's hard to get excited about Moore as more than a WR3/4.

Coach Dennis Allen said he's "counting on" Denarius Moore to be "our No. 1 receiver."

On paper, Moore looks primed for a big year as he enters his third NFL season. A special catcher of deep balls locked into an every-down role on a team that figures to be trailing a ton is a solid formula for statistics. However, Carson Palmer's inconsistency held Moore to a 51/741/7 line last year and the quarterback play figures to be even worse this year. Matt Flynn isn't a downfield passer, taking away Moore's strength. Consider him a WR3/4.

Moore had a good shot at a long touchdown, but Carson Palmer underthrew him just in front of the goal line. While his eight targets led the team, Moore was once again outproduced by Rod Streater. He's a high-risk WR3 option against a tough Panthers pass defense in Week 16.

Moore caught four of his six targets but couldn't do much with them after-the-catch. He hasn't topped four catches in a game since Week 8, and despite being known as a big-play receiver, has gone over 71 yards just three times this season. Couple that with his Week 13 benching for performance-based reasons, Moore is no more than a shaky WR3 on a weekly basis. The Chiefs are up next, and Moore did burn them for 96 yards and a score on five catches in Week 8.

The San Francisco Chronicle confirms that Denarius Moore will start Thursday versus the Broncos after his temporary benching in Week 13.

Moore was given a wake-up call by coach Dennis Allen after dropping a couple of passes. According to Pro Football Focus, Moore's eight drops are tied for the seventh-most among wide receivers this season. Likely to see plenty of Champ Bailey this week, Moore is a shaky WR3 option.

Moore was benched for rookie Rod Streater, who finished with three catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. "Yeah, took him out there at the end," Allen said of Moore. "Dropped a couple balls, and we got to make plays when you've got opportunities. Both those guys. It wasn't from a lack of effort, but we've got to make plays when we've got an opportunity."

The forecast for the start of the game is 62 degrees with a 60 percent chance of precipitation and 10MPH winds. We don't get overly concerned about winds unless they're at least 20MPH. Rain may be a factor at times, but it appears it will be intermittent. Joe Haden's coverage and the Raiders' recent inability to get the ball consistently to Denarius Moore are bigger concerns for Moore's Week 13 fantasy outlook than light winds and some rain.
