While still likely to enter Week 1 as Jackson's top backup, Rodgers has plenty of competition for touches, and would likely split the workload in the event of a serious injury to Jackson, who appears to be on track for Week 1.

Though he's fourth on the depth chart, Freeman could emerge as a threat to Rodgers' touches this season. If Jackson's injury unexpectedly lingers into the regular season, Rodgers will likely split the workload with Smith and/or Freeman, the latter of whom has been the most impressive of the bunch this preseason.

If Jackson doesn't make it back in time for the start of the season, Rodgers will likely be used in tandem with Smith and/or Freeman. The biggest concern for prospective Rodgers owners is still that Freeman could eat into the veteran's third-down workload.
