Fri Aug 2 201311:49Ronald Leary has a chance to start for Dallas
The Dallas Morning News believes Ronald Leary should open the season as the Cowboys' starting right guard.
This is becoming popular belief among those who cover the team on a daily basis. The Cowboys have been talking Leary up for the past year. Dallas is intent on shaking up its interior line, so Leary has a real shot of unseating Mackenzy Bernadeau -- who has barely seen the practice field due to shoulder and hamstring injuries.

Fri Jun 28 201311:10Ronald Leary challenging for starting job?
ESPN Dallas believes Cowboys OG Ronald Leary could challenge for a starting job in camp.
We doubt Leary will seriously push LG Nate Livings, but he could give RG Mackenzy Bernadeau a run for his money. A 2012 UDFA, the Cowboys have been talking up Leary for the better part of a year, but he's not even guaranteed a roster spot. Leary spent the majority of his rookie year on the practice squad.

Tue Dec 25 201213:24Cowboys feel Leary can develop into starter
The Cowboys feel G Ronald Leary could develop into a starter in the near future.
Leary went undrafted out of Memphis in 2012 and spent the first 15 weeks on the practice squad before getting a promotion to the active roster prior to Week 16. Some scouts gave him as high as a third-round grade coming out of college, but knee issues forced him out of the draft entirely. After receiving a guaranteed $214,000 on his contract, Leary had worked his way up to lining up with the first-team offense at right guard at the end of training camp. ESPN Dallas believes Mackenzy Bernadeau could slide to center in 2013, and Leary could then step in at right guard.
