Randle will not be suspended following Monday night's arrest on a Class B theft charge, but the running back will be fined by the Cowboys, The Dallas Morning News reports.
Randle was arrested for shoplifting cologne and underwear from a department store Monday. Now out on bond, Randle is reportedly expected to be fined between $10,000 and $30,000 by the Cowboys. Furthermore, the running back may be forced to undergo some sort of evaluation as part of the NFL's personal conduct policy. Nonetheless, it appears Randle's curious legal issue won't sideline him moving forward, but his fantasy value remains capped by his status as the Cowboys' No. 3 tailback.

Randle was arrested Monday night for shoplifting "a bottle of cologne", the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Randle was arrested for a Class B theft and is now out of jail on bond. His arrest comes after a five-carry, 52-yard performance at Seattle over the weekend, Randle's best showing of the season thus far. At the moment, it's unclear if Randle will face discipline for his run-in with the law.

Randle had his most productive game of the season in Sunday's win at Seattle, rushing for 52 yards on five carries.
Most of Randle's damage came on a 38-yard run up the middle in the first quarter. Owner and GM Jerry Jones recently said that they would like to get Randle more involved, and that transpired Sunday. Keep in mind that DeMarco Murray is clearly the Cowboys' workhorse back though, as he racked up another 35 touches in the win Sunday.

Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones said Friday that he thinks the team "probably should have at least Randle get a few more snaps," ESPN.com reports.
Meanwhile, offensive play-caller Scott Linehan said he thinks "it's too early to be thinking about pitch counts," in reference to DeMarco Murray's heavy workload through the first four weeks of the season. Randle has played only 16 offensive snaps, including seven last week, but he has managed 57 yards on just nine carries (6.3 YPC). He's no real threat to eat significantly into Murray's workload, but it does sound like he'd be the primary ballcarrier should anything happen to Murray.

Randle (concussion) is active Sunday in St. Louis, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Randle fended off a concussion sustained in Week 2, despite tallying just one limited appearance in practice this week. His limited usage so far (three carries) doesn't endear him to many owners, especially with DeMarco Murray taking on the bulk of the RB workload.

Randle (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game against St. Louis.
Randle made his first practice appearance of the week Friday, making a limited practice showing, but he evidently has not yet received full clearance to return from his concussion. If he can't suit up against the Rams on Sunday, Lance Dunbar would presumably see a few extra snaps.

Randle (concussion) will not practice Wednesday, The Dallas Morning News reports.
Randle suffered a concussion during the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Titans. Now, the Cowboys' No. 3 running back will need to pass league protocol before being cleared to return to the field.

Randle suffered a concussion in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Titans, ESPN.com reports.
Prior to his exit, Randle recorded 26 yards on three carries. He's behind DeMarco Murray and Lance Dunbar in the Cowboys' RB pecking order, however, which caps his fantasy relevance for now.

Randle (oblique) wasn't on the Cowboys' injury report Wednesday.
Randle sustained an oblique injury in the third preseason contest, which spurred his absence in the finale last Thursday. Even though he'll be active Sunday, expects his reps on offense to be all but nonexistent behind DeMarco Murray and Lance Dunbar.

Randle (oblique strain) will not play Thursday against the Broncos, ESPN.com reports.
That said, the report suggests that Randle appears to have the edge over Ryan Williams to secure the Cowboys' No. 3 running back slot behind DeMarco Murray and Lance Dunbar.

Randle suffered a rib injury during Saturday's preseason loss at Miami, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Randle's sole contribution of note was a tackle on the kickoff following the Cowboys' first scoring drive late in the first quarter. As a result, he didn't have the opportunity to factor into the rushing attack, thereby allowing Ryan Williams to handle the second-half reps out of the backfield, to great effect (12 carries for 47 yards and two catches for 22 yards). Consider Randle day-to-day until the severity of the injury is evident.

Randle had another strong outing Saturday, rushing for 41 yards on seven carries and catching an eight yard pass.
His competition for the third RB spot on the depth chart, Ryan Williams, also had an impressive game, so neither one was able to separate themselves. If the Cowboys aren't able to roster both, this battle could come down to who's more useful on special teams.

Randle gained 50 yards on 13 carries in Thursday's preseason opener against the Chargers.
The Cowboys rested their star players and No. 2 RB Lance Dunbar, allowing Randle to dominate the "first-team" touches. Randle could perhaps face competition for the No. 3 running back role from former second-round draft pick Ryan Williams, who rushed for 29 yards on eight carries, adding five receptions for 31 yards on seven targets. With both DeMarco Murray and Lance Dunbar subject to durability concerns, the No. 3 running back battle is a bit more important than elsewhere around the league. It's also worth noting that the Cowboys have a strong offensive line, although a weak defense might force the team to abandon the run at times.
Thu Jul 17 201410:09Joseph Randle is Murray's handcuff?
ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer believes Joseph Randle has the "inside track" on the Cowboys' No. 3 tailback job, and "would likely take over the every-down role" if DeMarco Murray missed time.
Six weeks ago, ESPN Dallas had Randle in danger of losing his roster spot. Archer's inference is that No. 2 back Lance Dunbar's role wouldn't change much if Murray got hurt, with Randle assuming lead-back work. It's notable, but we find it tough to believe. Randle struggled as a rookie (3.0 YPC) and didn't profile well into the NFL coming out of college. We think he's still on the bubble.

Sat May 24 201414:24Joseph Randle's roster spot in jeopardy
ESPN Dallas believes Joseph Randle is in danger of losing his roster spot.
With the addition of Ryan Williams, Randle is no longer a lock to open the season as the No. 3 back. Lance Dunbar is returning in a change-of-pace role, but one of Randle or Williams will be the top early-down backup to DeMarco Murray. Randle made two starts filling in for Murray last year, but averaged just 3.0 yards per carry.

Sun Dec 15 201321:40Joseph Randle held without a touch in loss
Joseph Randle didn't touch the ball in Dallas' Week 15 loss to the Packers.
The Cowboys went extremely pass heavy in a game they coughed up in stupefying fashion. DeMarco Murray got all 18 of the Cowboys' rushing attempts. Randle is a middling Dynasty-league prospect, but still needs to be owned outside of re-draft formats.

Tue Dec 10 201300:08Randle rushed for 54 yards, TD in MNF loss
Joseph Randle rushed for 54 yards and one touchdown on nine carries in Monday night's Week 14 loss to the Bears.
Randle handled running back duties on the final drive in the blowout loss and punched it in from one yard away with six seconds left on the clock. Anyone and everyone is running wild on the Bears this season. Randle remains a pure backup and change-of-pace to DeMarco Murray. He's off the re-draft radar.

Sun Nov 3 201318:01Randle sees one touch with Murray back
Joseph Randle rushed for three yards on one carry in Week 9 against Minnesota.
With DeMarco Murray returning to the lineup from his sprained MCL, Randle was relegated to backup duties along with Lance Dunbar. Randle is back on the handcuff radar. If Murray goes down again, Randle will be the starter.
