Robinson had 18 carries for 69 yards Sunday against the Vikings.
Robinson had two more carries Sunday than he had in Weeks 1 and 2 combined thanks to the injury to Mark Ingram (hand), which will likely keep him out for a few weeks. While Pierre Thomas is still expected to get most of the looks on passing downs, Robinson should continue to lead the backfield in carries until Ingram returns, though a return date has yet to be determined.

With ESPN.com reporting that Mark Ingram is expected to miss about a month with a hand injury suffered in Sunday's game against the Browns, Robinson is expected to be the most likely beneficiary while Ingram is sidelined.
Ingram has started the year red hot, emphatically laying claim to the majority of the Saints' rushing workload, with Robinson seemingly relegated to a backup role. With Ingram's injury, however, Robinson should see the majority of the carries out of the Saints' backfield. Pierre Thomas will almost certainly tote the ball some as well, but Thomas is still likely to serve as more of a receiving option, while Robinson, a talented runner who impressed when pressed into action in last year's playoffs, should receive a significantly increased workload.

Robinson had eight carries for 31 yards Sunday against the Browns.
Robinson finished with only three fewer carries than Mark Ingram, but the latter had 52 more yards when all was said-and-done. Robinson is clearly in the backup role in New Orleans, and he doesn't catch passes like Pierre Thomas, making him the weakest option of the three for fantasy purposes.

Robinson took only 12 of the Saints' 75 offensive snaps in Sunday's loss in Atlanta, reports Mike Triplett of ESPN.com. Meanwhile, Pierre Thomas was on the field for 34 snaps, Mark Ingram for 20, and Travaris Cadet for 12.
Robinson played well in limited time, gaining 28 yards on six carries (4.7 YPC) and converting a short touchdown. Since head coach Sean Payton took over in 2006, however, the Saints have deployed a committee approach to their backfield distribution, and Triplett expects a similar snap distribution all year. Robinson appeared to be the preferred back in the first half, but he took a backseat to Ingram and Thomas thereafter. Robinson will surely have some nice days in the future, but his scattered workload as part of a committee in a pass-happy offense could to lead to frustratingly inconsistent results for the talented young runner.
Sun Sep 7 201421:36Robinson had six carries for 28 yards and touchdown Sunday again...
Robinson had six carries for 28 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Falcons.
Robinson banged home a two-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give the Saints a 13-0 lead, but he sat back and watched Mark Ingram rush for two fourth-quarter touchdowns, as well as Pierre Thomas grab seven carries for 31 yards. It looks very much like a committee-approach in New Orleans, with Ingram getting the most carries and Thomas getting plenty of looks in the passing game, which doesn't leave Robinson with much else. He'll get a few looks each game, but he's unlikely to score many touchdowns.

Robinson gained 21 yards on eight carries in Saturday's preseason game against the Colts. He also caught one pass for four yards.
With Mark Ingram continuing to run well, including an eight-carry, 46-yard performance against the Colts, Robinson could be looking at a more reduced role in the presumed timeshare with Ingram and receiving back Pierre Thomas. The Saints like Robinson and have a long history of three-headed running back committees, but unless Ingram succumbs to an injury or suffers a drop-off in production, Robinson may not be the breakout fantasy sleeper many had hoped when drafting the second-year back,

Robinson gained 11 yards on four carries and caught three passes for only two yards in Friday's preseason game against the Titans.
There was little room to run for Robinson in this one, but he appears locked in to split carries with Mark Ingram during the season, as the Saints love his ability to break tackles. Though Pierre Thomas is expected to be the featured back in the passing game, Robinson has also shown a decent pair of hands that could garner him some additional opportunities in the passing game. He remains a sleeper option in fantasy leagues, with plenty of upside in the Saints' explosive offense should the oft-injured Ingram succumb to malady once again this year.

Robinson gained 23 yards on five carries and 16 yards on two receptions in Friday's preseason opener against the Rams.
Robinson and Mark Ingram essentially alternated drives in the first half, allowing both backs to work against the Rams' starters and second-teamers. The duo figures to work in tandem with Pierre Thomas this season, with Thomas likely to handle most of the third-down work, while Robinson and Ingram get most of the carries. Thomas was held out of Friday's game for uncertain reasons, as he isn't known to be dealing with an injury.
Thu Jul 31 201411:16Khiry Robinson showing well in pass pro
Khiry Robinson's blitz pickup skills have been "impressive" at Saints camp so far.
Improving in pass protection is crucial if Robinson wants to steal some snaps from Pierre Thomas. He's a far better receiver than ex-Saint Chris Ivory, even though he hasn't gotten to show it yet. If Robinson can take a nibble out of Thomas' passing-game work and a nibble out of Mark Ingram's power-game reps, he'll have a decent role. There's flier appeal here in deeper formats.

Robinson was tabbed as a player who has stood out after the first five days of training camp, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Robinson is reportedly the toughest runner on the team, as well as a capable pass-catcher, but the biggest improvement in his game thus far has been his blitz-recognition. While correctly diagnosing and picking up a blitz doesn't directly garner fantasy points, if the Saints can trust Robinson in pass protection, he stands a good chance to see an increase in playing time.
Tue Jun 3 201411:03Khiry Robinson a 2014 breakout candidate
ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett pegs second-year RB Khiry Robinson as a 2014 breakout candidate.
Signs have been pointing to an increased role for Robinson since he posted a 21-102-4.9-1 rushing line across two playoff games. The jump from West Texas A&M to the NFL was a tough one, as Robinson said early on he was "basically just running, hoping I went the right way." His role increased in the postseason and coach Sean Payton says Robinson is "a lot further along." With Payton wanting to run the ball more, Robinson should be a main beneficiary. His 2014 upside will be capped by Pierre Thomas and Mark Ingram, but both could be in their final seasons with New Orleans.

Sun Mar 9 201418:05Saints expected to install 'ball-control' O
The New Orleans Times-Picayune expects Saints coach Sean Payton's offense to be a "balanced, ball-control attack" in 2014.
Payton's offense averaged 23.6 carries per game the first 14 weeks of 2013, before averaging 30.5 in the final four. "Possessing the ball means something to the defense -- it means snaps taken away," Payton recently explained. "When we finished the regular season and went to Philadelphia for the Wild Card round, we were able to point to 186 less defensive plays (than 2012) which is more than two games." With Drew Brees aging and Darren Sproles gone, the old high-flying Saints offense is a thing of the past. Look for Khiry Robinson and Mark Ingram's roles to increase significantly in 2014, particularly Robinson's.

Sat Mar 8 201408:46Khiry Robinson could be big factor in 2014
ESPN analyst Louis Riddick expects the Saints' backfield to be "the Khiry Robinson show" in 2014.
We tend to agree. The Saints are moving on from Darren Sproles and quite possibly Pierre Thomas, not only to create salary cap space but in a transition of coach Sean Payton's ground-game mindset. New Orleans is going to try to field more of a drive-sustaining run game going forward, as opposed to the change of pace it was with Sproles and Thomas. The arrow is screaming upward on Robinson's Dynasty outlook. Mark Ingram's role will also increase.

Sat Jan 11 201420:06Khiry Robinson scores touchdown in loss
Khiry Robinson rushed 13 times for 57 yards and a touchdown in New Orleans' Divisional Round loss to the Seahawks.
The undrafted rookie caught one pass for 13 yards. Apparently compared to Curtis Martin by Bill Parcells during the week, Robinson had little trouble finding lanes against Seattle's up-and-down run defense, but had an obvious fumble missed by the referees. An imposing 6-foot-0, 220 pounds, Robinson goes into the offseason on the back of a 54/224/1 year as a rusher. He has deceptive speed for his size. Robinson has obvious upside as a runner, but is going to have trouble tapping it in New Orleans' committee backfield. He's worth a hold in Dynasty leagues, but is unlikely to be a major asset in 2014.

Sun Jan 5 201400:36Khiry Robinson impressive in spot duty
Khiry Robinson rushed eight times for 45 yards in Saturday's Wild Card win at Philadelphia.
Robinson got some series to himself behind Mark Ingram with Pierre Thomas (chest) inactive. Once again, the undrafted rookie out of West Texas A&M opened eyes with his power/speed combo. The extent of Thomas' injury is unclear, so Robinson's role for the Divisional Round game at Seattle next week is murky. He had more than one carry in a game just seven times during the regular season.

Sun Nov 3 201311:58Khiry Robinson a healthy scratch for Saints
Khiry Robinson is a healthy scratch for Sunday's Week 9 game against the Jets.
With Mark Ingram (toe) back in action, the Saints sit Robinson down. It feels like the Chris Ivory story all over again. Robinson was extremely impressive in his five appearances, running with both power and speed en route to a 33/146/1 (4.42 YPC) line. Ingram, who is averaging 3.75 YPC in his career, will return to take a few base carries away from Pierre Thomas.
