Sun Dec 15 201316:33Josh Boyce suffers undisclosed injury in loss
Josh Boyce didn't finish out New England's Week 15 loss to the Dolphins with a leg injury, and was spotted limping in the locker room after the game.
He's just the latest Patriots "X" receiver to go down. Boyce was making an impact before departing, catching four passes for 42 yards. Tom Brady made a concerted effort to get Boyce the ball on quick, short passes. Boyce's status will be updated no later than Monday.

Sun Dec 8 201320:54Josh Boyce catches three passes in win
Josh Boyce caught three passes for 49 yards in Week 14 against the Browns.
Boyce was targeted five times. He drew the X receiver snaps with Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) and Aaron Dobson (foot) inactive. One of Boyce's targets was picked off deep over the middle by D'Qwell Jackson. The rookie receiver has a ton of long speed and has some dynasty appeal. He's not on the re-draft radar yet.

Mon Sep 30 201302:11Boyce makes appearance after Dobson injury
Josh Boyce had one catch for 24 yards in Week 4 against the Falcons.
Boyce finished with three targets. Even with Aaron Dobson dealing with a neck injury, he isn't a candidate for an expanded role. Danny Amendola (groin) is tentatively expected to return in Week 5.

Fri Sep 13 201301:28Josh Boyce not targeted in win
Josh Boyce wasn't targeted in New England's Week 2 win over the Jets.
ESPN Boston charted Boyce with one first-half snap, but we didn't see him after that. It says a lot about where the Pats believe Boyce is in his development, as they received remarkably poor receiver play on Thursday. Boyce isn't going to make a rookie impact.

Sun Sep 8 201318:13Josh Boyce held without a catch vs. Bills
Patriots WR Josh Boyce was held without a catch on two targets in New England's Week 1 win over the Bills.
Boyce's snaps were extremely limited even though Danny Amendola missed time with a groin issue, and Kenbrell Thompkins struggled. He should fall back behind Aaron Dobson (hamstring) on the depth chart once Dobson returns.

Thu Aug 29 201310:32Josh Boyce a notch below Dobson
ESPN Boston says Josh Boyce "seems to be a notch below" Aaron Dobson in terms of his place within in the offense.
Boyce has more long speed than Dobson or Kenrell Thompkins, but he's clearly behind both on the depth chart. Boyce has produced just five catches for 27 yards despite playing 112 preseason snaps already. Beat man Mike Reiss believes Dobson "has the highest upside of all the young pass-catchers."

Fri Jul 26 201321:36Josh Boyce getting 1st-, 2nd-team reps
Patriots fourth-round WR Josh Boyce opened training camp receiving first- and second-team reps.
The Boston Herald item below says Boyce worked with the first team at Friday's practice, while a previous Boston Globe practice report had him with the twos. Either way, Boyce is squarely in the hunt for playing time. Friday was Boyce's first workout as a Patriot after missing the spring with a broken toe.
