Sun Oct 23 2011 | 17:50 | Preston Parker has four-catch day |
Preston Parker caught four passes for 42 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bears. |
Today was just the second time in his past five games Parker was able to haul in more than two receptions. Averaging 3.29 catches and 44.3 yards through his first seven games, Parker will be little more than a WR 4/5 coming off the Bucs' Week 8 bye. |

Tue Oct 4 2011 | 01:39 | Parker grabs five balls for 70 yards and a TD |
Bucs slot WR Preston Parker had five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the Colts. |
Sandwiched around a 12-yard, one-catch effort in Week 3, Parker has 11 catches for 168 yards in Weeks 2 and 4. In a PPR format he is worth a look with Josh Freeman looking like a checkdown machine, but expect inconsistency from week to week. Parker is on pace for 64 receptions, 892 yards, and four touchdowns. |

Sun Sep 18 2011 | 18:03 | Preston Parker catches six balls in Week 2 |
Bucs WR Preston Parker caught six passes for 98 yards in the team's Week 2 win over Minnesota. |
The second-year undrafted free agent worked in the slot all game, and benefited from Mike Williams and Arrelious Benn's struggles with separation. Parker played efficiently, catching six of seven targets. He's an injury fill-in for Sammie Stroughter (foot surgery), and not much of a fantasy prospect. |

Mon Sep 12 2011 | 12:31 | Preston Parker to step in as slot WR |
Offensive coordinator Greg Olson said that Preston Parker will step into the slot receiver job with Sammie Stroughter (foot surgery) sidelined. |
Stroughter is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks. Parker handled himself well yesterday, catching four passes for 44 yards as the Bucs went pass-heavy in the second half. However, the Bucs will use many more two-wide sets in normal situations and Parker isn't a great talent. Only extreme deep leaguers should be monitoring his progress. |

Sun Sep 11 2011 | 18:41 | Preston Parker shows up for four catches |
Preston Parker had four catches for 44 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions. |
Parker surprisingly acted as the No. 3 receiver, giving up kick returns to Sammie Stroughter and punt returns to Michael Spurlock. The former undrafted free agent saw time at safety last season and isn't a good bet for consistency at wide receiver. The Bucs would be better off using Dezmon Briscoe more. |

Tue Sep 6 2011 | 18:24 | Preston Parker to handle kickoffs and punts |
Bucs WR Preston Parker is listed as the No. 1 kickoff and punt returner heading into the season opener. |
Sammie Stroughter and Michael Spurlock are listed second and third respectively. Parker averaged just 17.8 yards on 10 kickoffs last year, but improved to 24.8 on four attempts this preseason. He's yet to return a punt in a regular-season game. |

Fri Dec 24 2010 | 13:08 | Preston Parker seeing time at safety |
Bucs WR Preston Parker saw time at safety in last week's game against the Lions. |
Parker has been lining up in the defensive backfield during recent practice to get him ready in case of emergency. It's not going to be a long-term move, but Parker did record a quarterback hurry on Drew Stanton in limited action. |
