Fiedorowicz and Garrett Graham handled most of the first-team work in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos, according to Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle.
While unlikely to offer much fantasy value, Fiedorowicz is on track to see significant playing time as an in-line tight end this season. Though largely valued for his blocking ability, he's far from worthless as a receiver, and could find his way into a few touchdowns. Graham still looks to be the team's primary receiving threat at the position, but Ryan Griffin might have something to say about that.

Fiedorowicz is listed second on the depth chart behind Garrett Graham for this week's preseason game against Denver, the CSN Houston reports.
Fiedorowicz, who has played well in training camp and in preseason games, moves ahead of Ryan Griffin at least for one game.

Fiedorowicz got some snaps with the first team offense during Saturday night's preseason win over Atlanta, CSN Houston reports. Starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick hooked up with the rookie tight end on consecutive plays in Houston's first touchdown drive.
Altough he missed a block in the first half, Fiedorowicz is making a good impression with his pass-catching. However, the rookie has a couple of proven catchers (Garrett Graham, Ryan Griffin) ahead of him on the depth chart.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien is referring to third-round pick C.J. Fiedorowicz as a "Y" tight end, or in-line player.
It's the position manned by Rob Gronkowski in O'Brien's Patriots offenses. It's also worth noting Greg Cosell drew a poor man's Gronk comparison after watching Fiedorowicz's game tape. Whereas in other offenses "in-line" tight ends focus on blocking and are lightly used in the passing game, O'Brien has been aggressive feeding his in-line tight ends targets. Fiedorowicz's primary competition for starting snaps will be sophomore Ryan Griffin. Garrett Graham will play the "F" or "move" tight end role in O'Brien's attack.
