Hill had a team-high 18 carries for 87 rushing yards and a touchdown and one catch on one target for nine receiving yards Sunday against the Texans.
Despite the return of Giovani Bernard from hip and clavicle injuries, Hill led the team in carries (Bernard finished with 17 for 45 yards), while also getting the rushing attempt in close, with Hill's touchdown coming on a two-yard run. Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson said earlier this week that he plans to give both running backs plenty of looks, which isn't great news from a fantasy perspective, as they will each have their fantasy upsides limited by the other.

Bengals' offensive coordinator Hue Jackson plans to give both Hill and Gio Bernard plenty of action with Bernard coming back this week, Bengals.com reports.
Bernard had a "tremendous" practice Wednesday, prompting the question of who will start. Jackson said of Hill: "I think he deserves it. And I think with Gio just coming back, it's going to be hard for me to just say let's just thrust him in there again and let him go again. I think we've got to work him back into our process and how we do things. What will determine that is just how fast and how we think he is ready to go."
Sun Nov 16 201417:23Hill ran for 152 yards on 27 carries in Sunday's win over Saints
Hill ran for 152 yards on 27 carries in Sunday's win over the Saints. He added one reception for 13 yards.
Has anyone even noticed that Giovani Bernard has been missing? Hill has been outstanding in Bernard's absence, rushing for 361 yards in three games while averaging a whopping 5.7 yards per carry. Bernard looked pretty nimble while running through some drills on the field before Sunday's game, and a Week 12 return seems like a strong possibility, but Hill has proven that he deserves to remain a significant part of the offense. His workload will take a hit, however, so you'll need to temper your expectations for Hill against the Texans next week if Bernard does indeed play.
Fri Nov 14 201416:53Hill slated to start Sunday's game against Saints
With Giovani Bernard out, Hill is slated to start Sunday's game against the Saints, the Bengals' official site reports.
It wouldn't surprise us if Hill, who had 12 carries for 55 yards in Week 10's 24-3 loss to the Browns, sees more carries this Sunday, assuming a more favorable game flow, with Rex Burkhead and Cedric Peerman slated to work in reserve/complementary roles.

Hill had 12 carries for 55 yards and one carry for six yards in Thursday's 24-3 loss to the Browns. He also lost a fumble during the second quarter.
Hill was unable to make the most of a favorable matchup in a game that saw Andy Dalton complete just 10-of-33 passes for 86 yards. The Bengals weren't able to sustain any drives, and they didn't do much running after the first quarter. Hill showed good burst and strength on a couple of his runs, including the 13-yarder on which he lost a fumble in the second quarter. He later had an impressive 11-yard gain that featured two spin moves, once again showing an aspect of power that Giovani Bernard doesn't offer. Bernard (hip/clavicle) seems like a decent bet to return for next week against the Texans, and while that would unquestionably hurt Hill's value, the rookie figures to maintain a significant role in the offense.

Hill's teammate, Giovani Bernard, won't play Thursday against the Browns, according to NFL.com.
Hill thus has a golden opportunity to build off the 24-carry, 154-yard effort (to go along with two TDs) he turned in against the Jaguars this past Sunday. Working in Hill's favor in that regard in that he'll be squaring off against a Cleveland defense that has allowed a hefty average of 140.3 yards per game on the ground thus far.

Hill expects to receive a similar workload Thursday to the one he carried in Sunday's win over the Jaguars, ESPN reports.
Hill started for injured teammate Gio Bernard (hip) Sunday and exploded for 154 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. Now, with the Bengals facing a short practice week ahead of Thursday's divisional contest versus the Browns, Hill could be poised to receive a second straight start in Bernard's stead. Should that transpire, the rookie second-rounder Hill projects to be a superb fantasy play, as the Browns' rush defense currently ranks 30th league-wide.

Hill, who left Sunday's game against the Jaguars briefly with a knee injury, had 24 carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-23 victory.
Hill got the start with Giovani Bernard sidelined with a hip injury, but he had to leave the game briefly after suffering a knee injury. He was able to get back in the game after being officially questionable to return, and he put the contest away by rushing for a 60-yard touchdown with just over eight minutes left in the fourth quarter. It was a dominant performance for the rookie running back, who had 50 carries for 195 yards and three touchdowns in seven games coming into Sunday. The quick turnaround to face the Browns on Thursday may come too quickly for Bernard, which would give Hill another start, and one against the league's 30th-ranked run defense.

Hill returned to action Sunday against the Jaguars after leaving the game with a knee injury.
Good news for the Bengals, with Giovani Bernard already out and Hill being counted on to head the team's Week 9 rushing attack.

Hill left Sunday's game against the Jaguars with a knee injury.
With Giovani Bernard already out, the Bengals found themselves down to Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead on Sunday, though Geoff Hobson of bengals.com indicated that Hill is expected to return to the game after initially being considered questionable on that front.

With Giovani Bernard sidelined, Hill is in line to start at running back for the Bengals against the Jaguars on Sunday, ESPN.com reports.
Though Hill is coming off a 10-carry, 25-yard rushing effort in Week 8, given that he is set the head the team's Week 9 backfield, he should see enough carries Sunday to merit lineup consideration in most formats. Meanwhile, with Bernard (who logged 16 carries in Week 8) out, Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead are on hand to serve in complementary roles in the Bengals' backfield this weekend.

Hill had 10 carries for 25 rushing yards and four catches on four targets for 28 receiving yards Sunday against the Ravens.
Starting running back Giovani Bernard was forced out of the game with a right hip injury, which allowed Hill to post his highest carry total since Week 2. The severity of Bernard's injury has yet to be determined, but if he's forced to miss any time, Hill will most likely be the starter in Week 9 against the Jaguars, who are allowing more than 115 rushing yards per game this season.
Sun Oct 19 201421:59Hill had four carries for 15 yards Sunday against Colts
Hill had four carries for 15 yards Sunday against the Colts.
One week removed from scoring his third touchdown in four games, Hill was a non-factor Sunday, like many of his teammates, who failed to get anything going in a 27-0 loss. Hill remains firmly entrenched behind starter Giovani Bernard, with a tough Week 8 matchup against the Ravens, who are allowing fewer than 88 rushing yards per game this season.

Hill had eight carries for 22 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as four catches on four targets for 13 receiving yards Sunday against the Panthers.
Hill saw a slight uptick in touches after Giovani Bernard had to leave in the second half with a shoulder injury (he later returned), which allowed Hill to grab a three-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. While he doesn't usually get a large number of touches, Hull has scored three touchdowns in the last four games. Up next in Week 7 is a Colts defense that has allowed seven rushing touchdowns this season, which is tied for the second-most in the NFL.

Hill caught 3-of-4 targets for 68 yards, adding two carries for one yard in Sunday's 43-17 loss to the Patriots.
It was an odd stat line for Hill, who was expected to provide the power complement to Giovani Bernard's speed and receiving-oriented skill set. Hill has only been used sparingly in close games, and he's unlikely to break off another big receiving performance anytime soon, as he previously had just two receptions this season. Also worth noting is that 38 of his Sunday yards came on one garbage-time reception after the starters were pulled. On a more positive note, Hill is still the clear No. 2 running back on a team with an excellent offensive line, and the Bengals' coaching staff has talked about getting him more involved throughout the season.
Sun Oct 5 201412:06Hill will see touches ramp up as season progresses
Hill will see his touches ramp up as the season progresses, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner Jr.
As for Sunday night's tilt against the Patriots, Dehner believes Hill will likely receive somewhere from eight to 13 carries. That level of work would make him a decent flex option in some formats, and Hill owners can be encouraged going forward that the Bengals plan to continue making him a significant part of the offense.

Hill carried the ball seven times for 39 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's 33-7 win against Tennessee.
Hill wasn't involved much early, receiving most of his work in the second half, including his four-yard touchdown. Meanwhile, starter Giovani Bernard had 14 carries for 47 yards, and scored twice. Hill is an intriguing prospect, but he's clearly not going to be a huge factor as long as Bernard is healthy.

Hill had 15 carries for 74 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as two catches on two targets for 22 receiving yards Sunday against the Falcons.
The touchdown was the first of his career and came on a one-year run in the third quarter to put the Bengals up 24-3. Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson made a point of saying he'd like to get the ball into Hill's hands more, and he delivered on that in Sunday's blowout. Nevertheless, Giovani Bernard finished with 27 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown, plus an additional 79 yards through the air, so Hill's upside is still capped as long as Bernard is healthy.
Tue Sep 9 201415:18Jeremy Hill: Should see More Time on The Field Going Forward
Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson plans to give Hill more work in future games. "In that first game AFC North on the road in Baltimore, not that I don't have confidence in Jeremy yet, I just know what I'm getting from Gio every time I hand it to him," Jackson said. "I didn't want to put the other young man in a tough situation where something could have happened and all of a sudden you look back and say, 'What did you do that for?'"
The Bengals were similarly stingy with Gio Bernard in his debut last season, giving him just four carries. The action for Hill will still come - don't cut bait based on one game.

Hill gained 19 yards on four carries in Sunday's season-opening win over the Ravens.
Giovani Bernard, who dominated both the snaps and touches, stayed in the game the only time Cincinnati ventured inside Baltimore's five-yard line. While Hill's debut workload isn't encouraging, it's worth noting that the Bengals largely relied on short passes, with the gameplan playing to Bernard's strengths. Hill looked good on his four carries, and he could see more work next week against the Falcons, as the Atlanta run defense looks quite a bit weaker than Baltimore's.
