Thu Oct 18 201214:18Bengals RB Leonard held out again
Bengals RB Brian Leonard (ribs) was held out of practice again on Thursday.
Expect Cedric Peerman to fill in as the third-down back versus the Steelers this week. Peerman's reception total was artificially inflated by the Bengals' comeback mode in last week's loss. He's not a recommended fantasy option in PPR leagues.

With Cincinnati going on bye in Week 8, it appears Leonard is going to sit out against the Steelers on Sunday Night Football. Leonard is seeing heavy third-down snaps, but simply isn't getting enough touches to be on the PPR-league radar.

Tue Oct 9 201215:25Leonard, Peerman to pick up extra snaps
Brian Leonard and Cedric Peerman are expected to see an increase in snaps with BenJarvus Green-Ellis struggling and Bernard Scott out for the season.
Averaging just 2.58 yards per carry the past three weeks, Green-Ellis' snap-count dipped below 50 percent versus the Dolphins in Week 5. Neither Leonard nor Peerman is worthy of a roster spot in 12- and 14-team leagues, but they seem certain to eat into Green-Ellis' already shaky fantasy value.

Fri Jul 29 201110:18Bengals bring back Brian Leonard
Bengals agreed to terms with RB/FB Brian Leonard on a two-year deal.
This won't affect the likelihood that the Bengals will be bringing back Cedric Benson. Leonard is more of a third-down specialist and glue guy than a pure running back. He doesn't figure to get much more than the 2.6 touches he averaged per game a year ago.
