White Sox outfield Brandon Short has been diagnosed with a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will miss the entire 2012 season. |
He also suffered a dislocated shoulder on the fateful play Thursday where he crashed into the outfield wall. The 23-year-old outfielder batted .262/.318/.411 with 13 homers and 21 steals in 130 games last year at Double-A. He's not much of a prospect. |

Short is likely to be shut down for a couple of weeks and may get off to a delayed start this season. The 23-year-old outfielder batted .262/.318/.411 with 13 homers and 21 steals in 130 games last year at Double-A. |

White Sox reassigned OF Brandon Short, RHP Kyle Bellamy, LHP Charlie Leesman and Cs Josh Phegley and Jared Price to minor league camp. |
Not a surprise in the bunch, though these are all pretty decent prospects. Short, 22, batted .316/.365/.491 with 15 homers and 79 RBI over 544 plate appearances with High-A Winston-Salem last season. He was recently ranked as the organization's No. 8 prospect by Baseball America. |
