Chiefs re-signed G/C Bryan Mattison.
CB Neiko Thorpe was waived in a corresponding move. Mattison was waived on Saturday. He's yet to appear in a game this season, but made 13 appearances between the Ravens and Rams in 2012. He'll provide depth against the Bucs.

The Rams will hold an open competition at left guard in training camp.
It's a potentially huge trouble spot for a line already among the league's worst at the other four positions. "We've got a lot of options, and we'll continue to rotate guys in there," said coach Jeff Fisher. Options include former practice squad player Bryan Mattison, undersized center Tim Barnes, ex-Jet special teamer Rob Turner, and mammoth rookie project Rokevious Watkins.

Rams signed G/C Bryan Mattison off the Ravens' practice squad.
The 27-year-old Mattison was believed to have been on scholarship in Baltimore because his father used to be the defensive coordinator and is close with the entire coaching staff. It's an odd signing for the Rams, who need to be thinking about the future. Mattison isn't a part of theirs.
