Wed Nov 7 201212:48Lousaka Polite released by Falcons
Falcons released FB Lousaka Polite and signed FB Mike Cox.
Polite beat out Cox in training camp. Now we're eight games in and the staff is making a switch. Neither lead-blocker can resurrect Michael Turner's burst.

Sat Aug 11 201215:48Falcons ink veteran fullback Lousaka Polite
Falcons signed FB Lousaka Polite and TE Chase Coffman.
Polite will compete with Mike Cox for lead-blocking duties after fifth-round rookie Bradie Ewing was lost for the season on Friday. An on-again, off-again starter for the Dolphins from 2008-10, Polite played just 24 snaps for the Patriots in 2011. A third-round pick of the Bengals in 2009, Coffman has appeared in just six career games, all of which came in 2010.

Patriots released FB Lousaka Polite
The writing was on the wall for the 30-year-old after New England came to terms with Tony Fiammetta earlier today, after also signing Spencer Larsen. Polite was a late season addition for New England in 2011, playing only 24 snaps.

Tue Dec 27 201113:30Report: Patriots to sign FB Polite
The Patriots will reportedly sign FB Lousaka Polite.
Donald Thomas, who had been playing fullback in some packages, will be needed at guard with Logan Mankins (MCL sprain) out for the season finale. The Pats don't use a lead-blocker on most plays, so Polite's role will be limited.

Tue Sep 27 201120:16Patriots work out two fullbacks
The Patriots worked out free agent FBs Lousaka Polite and Charles Scott Tuesday
New England also worked out free agent TE Jake O'Connell. The Patriots don't typically use a roster spot on a fullback, so this is likely a case of due diligence more than anything else. It probably doesn't hurt that Polite spent the past three seasons with division rival Miami.

Sun Oct 3 201009:36Polite is 20-of-20 on 3rd and 4th and one
Dolphins FB Lousaka Polite has converted all twenty of his third-and-1 and fourth-and-1 carries between 2009 and 2010.
Polite presence has opened up the short yardage offense for Miami, who also has third down threats Brandon Marshall and Davone Bess. Look for the blocking back's role to expand as the season goes on.
