Wed Jul 31 201315:11Jamie Harper arrested for domestic violence
Free agent RB Jamie Harper has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Harper was arrested in Franklin, Tenn. Waived by the Titans in early May, Harper made his only visit of free agency to New England in late May. This obviously isn't going to help his market. Going on 24, Harper has averaged a putrid 2.1 yards on 36 career carries.

Thu May 30 201320:32Free agent RB Harper works out for two teams
Free agent RB Jamie Harper worked out for the Patriots and Giants this week.
Harper was cut by the Titans recently, and he was made expendable after Shonn Greene signed. The Patriots don't need any more running backs, but the Giants' depth chart is wide open behind David Wilson and Andre Brown.

Wed May 8 201313:22Tennessee waives reserve runner Jamie Harpe
Titans waived RB Jamie Harper.
A 2011 fourth-round pick, Harper ends his Titans career with just 36 carries for 74 yards and four touchdowns. Occasionally bandied about as a short-yardage threat to Chris Johnson, Harper was made redundant by the signing of Shonn Greene. A 5-foot-11, 233-pound load of a runner, Harper is still only 23, but is limited athletically. Signed cheaply through 2014, someone might give him a shot on waivers.

Titans declared RB Jamie Harper, MLB Colin McCarthy, CB Ryan Mouton, OT Byron Stingily, WR Lavelle Hawkins, DT DaJohn Harris, and QB Rusty Smith inactive for Week 13 versus the Texans.
Harper has an ankle injury, so Chris Johnson will carry a full load as usual. McCarthy is out with a concussion. Hawkins sits with an ankle issue of his own, while Damian Williams (hamstring) is active.

Thu Nov 22 201210:34Jamie Harper on the injury report
Titans RB Jamie Harper (ankle) is considering questionable for Week 12.
Harper wasn't able to practice on Thursday even though the Titans are coming out of a bye. The Titans wouldn't miss him against the Jags this week anyway. Harper has just 13 carries in seven games this season.

Fri Oct 12 201215:05Harper could see more short-yardage work
Head coach Mike Munchak says RB Jamie Harper could see more short-yardage and goal-line work after he scored a one-yard touchdown on Thursday night.
Harper saw just two carries last night, but he capitalized on the goal-line score after Chris Johnson couldn't punch it in. With Javon Ringer (knee) out, Harper is the clear back-up to CJ?K. It was the Titans' first rushing touchdown of the season.

Fri Oct 12 201201:03Harper gets goal-line TD in Week 6 win
Jamie Harper rushed for a one-yard touchdown on two carries in Week 6 against the Steelers.
Harper saw very limited action with Chris Johnson running surprisingly well, but he did steal a goal-line carry and score after Johnson failed to punch it in on the first attempt. Javon Ringer (knee) is going to miss over a month of action, so Harper will be the primary backup during that time frame.

Sat Aug 18 201217:35Jamie Harper could see time at fullback
Titans RB Jamie Harper could see time at fullback.
Starter Collin Mooney is dealing with a minor knee injury. A full-on position switch shouldn't be in store for Harper, but it's proof that he's firmly behind Javon Ringer on the depth chart, with Darius Reynaud gaining ground.

Sun Jan 1 201219:05Jamie Harper goes for 23 yards in Week 17
Titans rookie RB Jamie Harper rushed four times for 19 yards and caught a four-yard pass in the team's Week 17 win over Houston.
After a big preseason, Harper finished his first NFL regular season with just 44 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries, playing third fiddle behind Chris Johnson and Javon Ringer until Ringer's late-season injury. Harper has an intriguing skill set for a future third-down back because he pass blocks well and can catch. We don't see him as a great long-term prospect, however. Harper should return as the team's No. 3 back in 2012.

Sat Dec 24 201118:28Jamie Harper comes in for a TD
Jamie Harper rushed four times for six yards with a touchdown in the Titans' Week 16 win over the Jaguars.
Despite some early-week rhetoric that Harper would see a big boost in reps this week, it didn't happen. Chris Johnson's ankle was fine and the rookie was a strict backup. He did get the call as the power back from one yard out and converted for his first career touchdown.

Thu Dec 15 201110:47Jamie Harper behind CJ2K now
Rookie Jamie Harper will be Chris Johnson's lone backup in Sunday's game against the Colts.
Even though Javon Ringer (hand) is out, the Titans aren't adding a running back to the active roster. Harper, a one-cut power runner, is capable of playing on some third downs and filling a change-of-pace role. Still, we wouldn't expect more than a handful of touches in Indy this week.

Sun Sep 11 201116:39Jamie Harper gets four touches in Week 1
Titans rookie Jamie Harper received just three carries for 10 yards and caught a 21-yard pass in Week 1 against the Jaguars.
It may be worth noting that Harper replaced Chris Johnson for a series deep inside the red zone during the second half. Otherwise, Harper was not a rushing factor, which should have been expected. He's the Titans' third-string back and will resume that role once Javon Ringer gets back from his hip and back woes.

Sat Aug 20 201122:23Jamie Harper has big night against Rams
Rookie RB Jamie Harper shined in Tennessee's preseason game against the Rams on Saturday, carrying the ball 11 times for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Staring in place of an injured Javon Ringer and absent Chris Johnson, Harper added one catch for 24 yards. His biggest run of the night came with five minutes remaining in the second quarter, where he reeled off a 46-yard gainer. Although Harper is still unlikely to unseat Ringer as CJ2K's primary backup, he's making a case to be Tennessee's Week 1 third-down back.

Fri Aug 19 201110:42Harper to start on Saturday
Fourth-round RB Jamie Harper is expected to start Saturday's preseason game.
With Chris Johnson still holding out and Javon Ringer (hip) nicked, Harper is getting his chance. While he is unlikely to unseat Ringer as the primary backup, Harper can establish trust as a potential third-down back.
