Tue Jun 2516:51Randy Arozarena On The Bench Tuesday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is retreating to the bench on Tuesday against the visiting Seattle Mariners. Josh Lowe will serve as the designated hitter and will bat second, while Jonny DeLuca draws into the lineup in left field and will hit in the nine-hole against Mariners right-hander Luis Castillo. It will be the struggling Arozarena's first day off this month. The 29-year-old has hit 10 home runs and stolen 10 bases, but he's batting just .191 (51-for-267) on the year after making his first All-Star appearance in 2023. The good news is that he could be pulling out of his season-long slump, as he's gone 11-for-33 (.333) with two home runs, three doubles, seven RBI, three stolen bases and five runs scored in his last 10 games. Don't give up on Arozarena just yet in 2024.

Thu Jun 2011:01Randy Arozarena Scores Game-Winner In 10th Inning
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 2-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases, and was hit by a pitch in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Twins. The HBP came in the top of the tenth inning, Arozarena then stole second, and came around to score what would eventually be the game-winning run on a Royce Lewis throwing error. The 29-year-old has had a disappointing season to this point, currently slashing .185/.299/.345, but is showing signs of turning things around, recording a .298-2-6-8-2 line in June with two separate five-game hit streaks, more walks than strikeouts (9:8), and even collecting a painful five HBPs in 16 games. The veteran may also be in line for some positive regression as he sports a low .217 BABIP compared to a career BABIP of .317.

Wed Jun 1908:27Randy Arozarena Goes Yard, Starting To Warm Up
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 1-for-4 in Tuesday's loss versus the Minnesota Twins. Arozarena's lone hit would be a big one, as he put the Rays up 3-0 in the top of the first inning. Arozarena has been one of the more consistent outfielders over the past few seasons, but has struggled mightily this season with a .179 batting average to go with 10 homers, 25 RBI and seven stolen bases. The batting average is a major disappointment, but it is nice that the veteran is helping with power and on the basepaths. The outfielder is now hitting .257 with two homers and six RBI over his last 35 at-bats and it appears that he may finally being turning the page on a rough start to the season. With his recent improvement, Arozarena's buy-low window continues to shut more.

Fri May 3117:45Randy Arozarena Absent On Friday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. The 29-year-old has been struggling at the plate, so this appears to be a routine rest day. This season, Arozarena is slashing .159/.258/.313 with eight home runs and 19 RBI. Jonny DeLuca will cover his spot in left field and bat fifth versus Albert Suarez on Friday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly.

Sun May 1200:15Randy Arozarena Homers, Drives In Four On Saturday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, a walk, and an additional run scored in Saturday's 7-2 win over the New York Yankees. Arozarena blasted a three-run shot off Nestor Cortes in the third inning to give the Rays a 4-2 lead. His home run went 385 feet with an exit velocity of 102.5 mph. It was his seventh of the season. He later logged an RBI double, driving in four runs in Saturday's game. The 29-year-old is off to a slow start this season, slashing .154/.253/.329 with seven home runs, 17 RBI, 18 runs, and six stolen bases over 39 games. Arozarena will look to build off Saturday's performance and should remain in fantasy lineups despite the slow start.

Sun Apr 2812:24Randy Arozarena Not Starting Against White Sox
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the team's starting lineup on Sunday in the series finale against the Chicago White Sox. Arozarena will get a blow after starting the team's previous nine contests while going just 4-for-34 with 13 strikeouts to drop his season line to a rough .154/.228/.260. The 29-year-old Cuban slugger has added three home runs, nine RBI, four stolen bases and 12 runs scored in his first 104 at-bats in 2024. After the day off, hopefully Arozarena will be able to start picking things up offensively for the Rays and fantasy managers. Harold Ramirez is starting in left field and batting fifth, while Austin Shenton is the designated hitter and is batting sixth against White Sox right-hander Erick Fedde. Ramirez has one hit in two career at-bats against Fedde, while Shenton has never faced Fedde.

Thu Apr 1812:01Randy Arozarena Resting On Thursday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the team's starting lineup on Thursday for the series finale against the visiting Los Angeles Angels. With Arozarena starting on the bench, Harold Ramirez will start in left field for the Rays and will hit cleanup against Angels right-hander Griffin Canning. Arozarena could use a day off, as he's hitting just .174 (12-for-69) with two homers, six RBI, four steals and 19 strikeouts in his first 18 games, and he's currently in a 2-for-23 slump. Hopefully, the day off helps the 29-year-old get right heading into this weekend. Ramirez has gone 18-for-71 (.254) in the early going with a homer, eight RBI and a stolen base. He has never faced Canning in his career but could be a nice producer at a low cost in DFS on Thursday out of the cleanup spot for Tampa.

Sun Apr 714:08Randy Arozarena Out Of Sunday’s Lineup
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena will ride pine in Sunday's series finale against the Colorado Rockies. The left fielder has struggled at the plate to open the 2024 campaign with a pedestrian .206/.270/.382 stat line with two home runs and two stolen bases. The 29-year-old is out of the starting lineup for the first time this season, as he has only tallied two hits across his previous 22 plate appearances. As a result, Richie Palacios will get the starting nod in left field today and bat fifth, making him a sneaky play in DFS as the Rays have scored 15 runs across the opening two games of the series in Colorado.

Sat Mar 1623:21Randy Arozarena Blasts Two Home Runs On Saturday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 2-for-2 with two home runs in Saturday's 6-5 spring loss to the Minnesota Twins. Arozarena took Pablo Lopez deep in the first and fourth innings of Saturday's loss. The 29-year-old is looking to produce his fourth straight 20/20 season in 2024. He slashed 254/.364/.425 with 23 home runs, 83 RBI, 95 runs, and 22 stolen bases over 151 games last year. Arozarena has had a modest spring, hitting .200 with three home runs and five RBI over 10 games this spring. With an NFBC ADP of 43, Arozarena should hit 20 homers, steal 20 bags, and score close to 100 runs in 2024, making him a solid pick at his current ADP heading into 2024 fantasy drafts.

Wed Mar 1307:23Randy Arozarena Hits First Homer Of Spring
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and walk in Tuesday's Grapefruit League matchup versus the Baltimore Orioles. It would be the outfielder's first homer of the spring. The 29-year-old has been ice-cold this spring, hitting .100 with a homer and three RBI in 20 at-bats, but fantasy managers should have little to no concern with him heading into the regular season. Arozarena is coming off of a well-rounded 2023 campaign with 23 homers, 83 RBI, 22 stolen bases and a .254 batting average. He remains a valuable No. 1 outfielder in most fantasy formats going into Opening Day.

Thu Jan 1113:32Randy Arozarena Avoids Arbitration
Outfielder Randy Arozarena and the Tampa Bay Rays avoided salary arbitration on Thursday by settling at $8.1 million for the 2024 season, according to a source. Arozarena put up his third straight 20-20 season in 2023, but it also came with a career-low .25 batting average. The 28-year-old also displayed better plate discipline, though, and it led to a career-high in runs scored with 95 to go along with 23 home runs, 83 RBI and 22 stolen bases in 551 at-bats over 151 games played in his fourth year with the Rays. Perhaps participating in the Home Run Derby during the All-Star break screwed his swing up in the second half, as he was much more productive in the first half of last season. Arozarena will once again be an early round target for his power/speed combination in fantasy drafts this spring.

Tue Dec 5 202300:40Rays Simply "Listening" To Trade Talk For Randy Arozarena, Isaac Paredes
Tampa Bay Rays baseball operations president Erik Neander said Monday, "I would very much classify anything as listening," referring to trade talks related to key players other than starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow. This includes outfielder Randy Arozarena and infielder Isaac Paredes, whose names have popped up in trade rumors this offseason. While Glasnow is due a team-record $25 million salary in 2024, Arozarena and Paredes will be more cost-friendly and played pivotal roles for the Rays in 2023. Both will likely continue to play key roles for the team in 2024 should they stay.

Wed Nov 29 202315:05Randy Arozarena Being Shopped By Rays
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is reportedly being shopped by the club and there's a good chance he will indeed be moved. The 28-year-old still has three seasons of club control attached to him and he is arbitration-eligible for the first time this offseason. Certainly, the Rays would get a haul for the star outfielder given his friendly contract status and massive production at the plate. He hit .254 with 23 home runs and 22 stolen bases across 151 games in 2023, his third straight 20-HR, 20-SB campaign. For his career, Arozarena has hit .264 with 71 homers and 80 stolen bases across 487 games played. He has been remarkably consistent since bursting onto the scene with the Rays in the shortened 2020 campaign.

Wed Sep 27 202316:24Randy Arozarena Back In Rays Lineup
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena (quadriceps) is back in left field and is batting third in the order for Tampa on Wednesday against right-hander Bryan Bello and the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Arozarena missed the last three games with right-quadriceps tightness, but he'll return for fantasy managers to close out the last week of the 2023 regular season. You'll want to return the 28-year-old to your starting lineups immediately. Arozarena made his first All-Star team this year and enters Wednesday's contest hitting .255/.363/.427 with a career-high 23 home runs, 18 doubles, three triples, 83 RBI, 22 stolen bases and 92 runs scored in 148 games. He's struggled in September, though, going 17-for-78 (.218) with only two homers, four doubles, a triple, seven RBI, 25 strikeouts, two steals and seven runs scored in 20 starts.

Tue Sep 26 202317:05Randy Arozarena Out For Rays On Tuesday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena (quadriceps) is out of the team's starting lineup on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Arozarena will miss his third straight game with right-quadriceps tightness. It's bad news for fantasy managers that were counting on him to help them out in the final week of the regular season, but hopefully he'll be able to return on Wednesday. The Rays have another off day coming on Thursday, so at the very least, the 28-year-old should be back in action this weekend to close things out in the regular season against the Toronto Blue Jays. Raimel Tapia is in left field on Tuesday and is hitting in the seven-hole against Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck.

Sat Sep 23 202314:02Randy Arozarena Is Not In The Lineup On Saturday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena (quad) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The 28-year-old left Friday's contest early with some right quad tightness, so he'll get a day off on Saturday to get right. His status for Sunday's series finale is up in the air but he should be considered day-to-day for now. Harold Ramirez will take over in left field and bat second in Arozarena's place against Hyun Jin Ryu and the Jays.

Fri Sep 22 202321:18Randy Arozarena Leaves With Right Quad Tightness
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena was removed early from Friday night's game due to right quad tightness. Arozarena could be seen pulling up lame after rounding third on his way to score. The 28-year-old has been in a slump over his last 15 games with two home runs and 20 strikeouts over 57 at-bats. Leg injuries can be tricky and it's not known how serious it is right now so make sure to check back once the Rays have more information, if additional testing is needed.

Sat Aug 5 202318:22Randy Arozarena Continues To Struggle
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in a 4-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. The 28-year-old All-Star is mired in a bad slump at the moment, going just 2-for-23 over his last seven games and slashing a brutal .155/.242/.291 over the last 30 contests (110 at-bats). He does have four home runs and three stolen bases over that 30-game stretch but his current production is a far cry from what it was over the first three months of the season. Arozarena's season stats still look decent, which shows you how incredible he was in April-June, but the recent halt in production likely has fantasy managers concerned. Overall, he's slashing .252/.360/.430 with 18 home runs. 64 RBI, and 12 stolen bases over 384 at-bats. He's just two home runs from matching a career best, which he set back in 2021 and 2022. He's still got some time to turn things around and is an interesting buy-low candidate if your fantasy trade deadline hasn't passed yet.

Wed Jul 26 202316:48Randy Arozarena Hitless For Third Straight Game
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 0-for-4 at the plate Wednesday and he is now hitless in three consecutive contests. Since June 25th, the 28-year-old carries a .165 batting average. In 361 at-bats this season, Arozarena is slashing .263/.365/.808 with 17 home runs and 62 RBI. Tampa Bay needs Arozarena to get back on track, as teammate Wander Franco is also struggling in the batter's box with only three hits in his last 26 trips to the plate.

Thu Jul 20 202314:57Randy Arozarena Re-Enters Starting Lineup Thursday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena (back, knee) is back in the starting lineup Thursday versus the Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Kyle Gibson. Arozarena didn't start Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Texas Rangers but went 0-for-2 with a strikeout while leaving two men on base in a pair of pinch-hitting plate appearances. Despite the unsuccessful night on Wednesday, it's been a huge season for the 28-year-old who is hitting .276 with 17 home runs, 10 stolen bases, and an .849 OPS across an even 400 plate appearances on the campaign. He will take his usual spot in left field and hit cleanup Thursday night in Tampa Bay.
