Promoted from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on June 19, New York Yankees catcher/first base prospect Agustin Ramirez struggled in his few games. Through his first ten games, he went just 4-for-39 (.111 AVG) with one home run, five RBI, and a 5:11 BB/SO ratio. However, he seems to have adjusted. Recently, he's turned things around and played much better. Over the last week, he's 6-for-25 (.273 AVG) with three homers, four RBI, and a 3:5 BB/SO. Between Double-A and Triple-A, Ramirez is slashing .266/.356/.532 with 14 doubles, 20 homers, 58 RBI, and 36:59 BB/SO. The Yankees' No. 20 prospect (per MLB.com), Ramirez could make his MLB debut later this season.

New York Yankees catching prospect Agustin Ramirez launched three home runs and extended his hitting streak to three games. Over his past 13 games, Ramirez has been exceptional with a .321/.339/.607 line and 12 RBI. Through the early part of the season in his first extended look at Double-A, the 22-year-old has looked quite comfortable with a .282/.377/.585 line with 15 total long balls, 41 RBI, and a 28:38 BB:K ratio in 49 games. This is a significant improvement compared to his .211 AVG he held through 31 games with Double-A Somerset last summer. MLB Pipeline projects Ramirez to reach the majors in 2026, but with how well he is performing, a 2025 debut is not out of reach.

Wed May 813:25Agustin Ramirez Continues To Perform At Double-A
New York Yankees catching prospect Agustin Ramirez has been showing both excellent power and plate discipline in his first extended look at Double-A pitching. The 22-year-old went 3-3 at the plate with two walks and launched his tenth home run of the season on Tuesday which brings him to an overall .258/.405/.618 line. Ramirez is on pace to smash his previous season-high of 18 long balls that he set last season across Single, High, and a brief stint with Double-A. In addition to his power potential, Ramirez has shown excellent plate discipline. This season, he sports a 21:20 BB:K ratio, and during the early part of May, he has a 7:2 ratio. The 20th-ranked prospect in the Yankee system is still several years away from the major leagues but could become worth watching in dynasty if he continues to show this strong combination of power and plate discipline.
