Teagarden was originally given a 3-4 week timetable for recovery when the injury occurred, so barring any setbacks he should be looking at a return to the Orioles before the end of the month.

Orioles and C Taylor Teagarden avoided arbitration by agreeing to a contract.
Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. Teagarden appeared in 22 games for the O's in 2012, driving home nine runs in only 64 plate appearances. He should be the primary backup to Matt Wieters in 2013.

Taylor Teagarden drove in the go-ahead run in the Orioles' defeat of the Marlins early Wednesday morning.
The game went 18 innings and took close to six total hours. Teagarden's RBI single in the top of the 18th was the first run scored in nine frames and mercifully went unanswered by Seattle in the bottom half. The Orioles' backup catcher has eight RBI in 19 games this season.

Taylor Teagarden doubled home the only run on Sunday's 1-0, 10-inning win over the Rays.
Making his fourth plate appearance, Teagarden drove home Mark Reynolds against Joel Peralta. Teagarden is batting an abysmal .107/.138/.250 in 31 plate appearances since making his 2012 debut on July 14.

Taylor Teagarden blasted a walkoff two-run homer, leading the Orioles to an 8-6 victory over the Tigers in 13 innings on Friday.
It was Teagarden's first game since coming off the 60-day DL, and he made an immediate impact. He finished the night 1-for-2 with the critical blow off Joaquin Benoit in the 13th inning. The unlikeliest of heroes, Teagarden had hit just .250 with no homers and three RBI over 24 minor league at-bats on the year. He'll serve as the Orioles primary backup catcher behind Matt Wieters.

Teagarden is 3-for-15 (.200) over six rehab games between the GCL Orioles and Double-A Bowie. He suffered a bruised right hand on Sunday, but is slated to play with Low-A Delmarva on Wednesday. Barring any setbacks over the next two days, the O's will likely activate him on Friday. Ronny Paulino, who has served as the backup catcher this season, will soon be the odd-man out.

Taylor Teagarden (back) was pulled from Sunday's game at Double-A Bowie with a bruised right hand.
He's officially listed day-to-day. Teagarden has been out all season with a lower back injury. The setback isn't considered serious, and he should be activated shortly after the All-Star break.
