3B Nolan Arenado drove in his National League-leading 49th run in the seventh inning on Tuesday with an RBI double to score DJ Lemahieu. Arenado finished the night 2-for-4 for his 17th multi-hit game of the season.

Manager Walt Weiss said, "I've had my finger on the trigger with him the last few days, ready to pick a day for him. This one was clear-cut to me. The other ones I was on the fence. This one I felt very strongly about." Arenado has gone 4-for-32 in his past eight games with two doubles, five RBI and seven strikeouts. In addition to "trusting my eyes, trusting my gut," Weiss said he considered the schedule -- the Rockies just finished a weekend series with the Giants, a divisional opponent against whom Arenado has thrived _ and by resting Arenado on Monday he will nearly two days off before the Rockies play Tuesday night. Arenado was on deck to pinch hit when the game ended.

3B Nolan Arenado hit his MLB-leading 14th homer and also singled, giving him 16 multi-hit games. And despite playing in hitter-friendly Coors Field, Arenado has 29 homers on the road and 27 at Coors Field since the start of last season. He's also up to 34 RBIs.

Arenado also drew his 16th walk of the season, which doesn't sound like much until one realizes he's never taken more than 34 in his prior three MLB seasons. 3B Nolan Arenado contributed a single, a double and a triple to Colorado's win over the Giants on Sunday. He finished the series 6-for-15 (..400) with two doubles, a triple and a home run. He has been even better over the entire seven games the Rockies have played against the Giants this season, going 12-for-29 (.414) with four home runs over that stretch.

3B Nolan Arenado had two hits, including a double, in the Rockies' loss to the San Francisco Giants on Friday night. He now has hit safely in 10 straight games at AT&T Park, where he's smacked seven home runs during the streak. He scored a run after his second-inning double, the 14th he's scored in the 10 games.

Arenado belted his 17th home run in just 54 games against the Giants, helping Colorado cruise to a 17-7 win Thursday. He has hit safely in nine consecutive games at AT&T Park, during which he has smacked seven home runs and driven in 17 runs.

3B Nolan Arenado, who was 2-for-3 against Padres RHP James Shields on Monday night, has a career .538 (14-for-26) average against Shields. It is Arenado's highest hit total and batting average (minimum 20 at-bats) against any active pitcher. Overall, Arenado is hitting .462 (12-for-26) with four homers and eight RBIs in his past six games.

3B Nolan Arenado hit his major-league-leading 11th home run Sunday, a towering shot a couple of feet inside the left-field foul pole and into the Diamondbacks' bullpen. It was only Arenado's fourth home run in 112 at-bats at Chase Field. He also made some stellar defensive plays in the late innings, leading Rockies manager Walt Weiss to say he's "never seen a better" third baseman. "We just shake our head at how he makes those plays."

It is the most RBIs by a Rockies player in a series since Troy Tulowitzki drove in 10 runs against San Diego from Sept. 13-16, 2010.

B Nolan Arenado became the face of the franchise following the July trade of SS Troy Tulowitzki to Toronto. Arenado turns 25 on April 16 and plans on becoming a more vocal clubhouse leader in the wake of Tulowitzki's departure. "There are going to be times when I'm going to need to let guys know how I feel and what we need to do," Arenado said. "I'm going to voice my opinion."

3B Nolan Arenado agreed to a one-year, $5 million deal on Friday to avoid arbitration. Arenado led the majors with 130 RBIs last season and played in his first All-Star Game. He hit 42 homers to tie Washington's Bryce Harper for most in the National League.

3B Nolan Arenado, SS Brandon Crawford, 2B Jose Altuve and 1B Paul Goldschmidt were the only players to capture both a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger award this year. Arenado led the league with 42 homers and 130 RBIs. He batted .287/.323/.575.

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in a win over the Giants on Friday.

The ridiculous season continues for Arenado, as that marks his 42nd home run and 42nd double of the season. An even more ridiculous number is that he has 130 RBI this season. Arenado should be garnering MVP votes, but the Rockies are just too bad to get any support from the voters. He should easily be a top-25 pick going into next season.

Arenado went two-for-three with a home run and a walk, scoring two runs and driving in five runs himself in a victory over the Dodgers on Sunday.

He's now hit home runs in consecutive days against the Dodgers, continuing his torrid month of September. Through 26 games, the 24-year-old is slashing .330/.351/.698 and has clobbered 11 home runs to go along with 31 RBI. His success this season hasn't really been a productive of Coors Field either --- his numbers in visiting ballparks (.250/.285/.525, 21 HR and 52 RBI) are not far off from his home numbers (.313/.350/.610, 20 HR and 74 RBI). If not for Bryce Harper and Kris Bryant, Arenado could have been recognized as one of the best young players in the National League during 2015.

Arenado swatted a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning of Saturday's win over the Dodgers, giving him 40 homers for the season.

Arenado became the first Rockies player to finish with at least 40 homers in a season since Coors Field began placing baseballs in a humidor in 2002. It's been a tremendous year for Arenado, who looks like the leading candidate to take home both Silver Slugger and Gold Glove honors at third base for the National League.
