CF Odubel Herrera was not in the lineup Sunday after fouling a ball off his right foot in the ninth inning Friday. He is not expected to miss more than one day and will not miss the All-Star Game.

CF Odubel Herrera was selected as the Phillies' lone representative to the 2016 All-Star Game on Tuesday night. The second-year pro is currently the Phillies' leader in batting average (.302), hits (94) and walks (43), with already 15 more free passes than he earned last year despite nearly 200 fewer plate appearances. It's the first ASG appearance for Herrera. "It was well deserved that Odubel made the All-Star team," manager Pete Mackanin said.

OF Odubel Herrera hit his 10th home run of the season on Monday, a two-run shot with pitcher Jerad Eickhoff on base to put the Phillies up 5-1 in the bottom of the second inning. He finished the game 2-for-5 to raise his average to .303, the best amongst the team's regular hitters, with two RBIs and a run scored.

CF Odubel Herrera went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs Friday against Kansas City, and it is increasingly likely that he will be the Phillies' representative in the All-Star Game later this month. His homer came on a 1-0 fastball from Royals starter Ian Kennedy to open the bottom of the first, Herrera's ninth of the season and the first leadoff shot of his career.

CF Odubel Herrera, who went 2-for-4 with two singles Tuesday, continues to look like the Phillies' top candidate for the All-Star team. Not that is dwelling on it. "I think about it, but honestly I play for my team, to help my team win," Herrera said through an interpreter. "If that gets me there, then wonderful. But if it doesn't, what I really want is for the team to win." Herrera led the NL with three four-hit games after getting one Monday, and he was second in times on base (129) and singles (68). He also has four assists.

CF Odubel Herrera tied a career high with four hits, although the fourth was somewhat tainted. Herrera hit a high, slicing fly ball to left field in the eighth inning that landed beyond Arizona LF Rickie Weeks, who stabbed at the ball but did not bring it in. Herrera was credited with a double after singling in first, sixth and seventh.

CF Odubel Herrera, with four hits in five tries, tied a career high for hits in a game. He entered the game on an 0-for-10 streak and batting just .158 on the homestand. The second-year man leads the Phillies with a .317 average.

CF Obudel Herrera went 2-for-5 with a double and run scored on Friday. He's batting .358 (44-for-123) since moving into the leadoff spot on April 20.

CF Odubel Herrera hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning Wednesday and styled it with a bat-flip at the plate before taking off for his cruise around the bases. It was a move that at one time would have prompted retribution (and it still may at some point) but the trend now is to let players celebrate their moments, much as football players do. "I'm not worried (about retaliation)," manager Pete Mackanin said. "A lot of players believe they should be able to celebrate. I didn't see it. But I wish you hadn't of brought it up."

CF Odubel Herrera was in the starting lineup, leading off Tuesday after being removed from the game in the seventh inning Monday night for not running out a ground ball. "I'm not going to talk to him," manager Pete Mackanin said. "I don't want to overdo it. He knows what happened. It's over. He's in the lineup and I want him to get 3-4 hits and score 3-4 runs." Herrera had singled three times before grounding out to the pitcher in the seventh. RHP Justin Verlander struck him out three times and walked him once.

CF Odubel Herrera was back in Philadelphia's starting lineup Tuesday night after being replaced in the seventh inning when he didn't run out a ground ball.

CF Odubel Herrera had three strong hits Monday night, but when he failed to run out a tapper back to the pitcher in the seventh inning, he was removed from the game by manager Pete Mackanin. "I've seen it in the past and it's been trickling in and I just didn't like it, and I just made the decision," Mackanin said. "He was very matter of fact about it. He knows he should have run. As I was approaching Herrera, Ryan Howard walked up to him and told him he should make sure he runs that stuff out, which I thought was great to see from Howard." Mackanin said Herrera would play Tuesday.

CF Odubel Herrera went 3-for-5 Monday against the Marlins, raising his average to .343. Herrera is also hitting a National League-best .341 in 118 games since June 28, 2015, and .387 in 24 games since being installed in the leadoff spot on April 20. He leads all major-leaguers in on-base percentage (.471) since April 8, having reached safely in 35 of his last 36 games. "We knew he was a good hitter," manager Pete Mackanin said. "Now he's getting better. He's getting smarter."

RF Odubel Herrera drew two walks in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati, giving him 29 on the season in 165 plate appearances -- already one more than he registered in 537 plate appearances last season. His 12.4 percent increase in walk rate from 5.2 to 17.6 percent would be the highest single-season increase since 1900; Barry Bonds' rate jumped 10.7 percent from 2003-04.

OF Odubel Herrera drew a first inning walk Friday and has reached base safely in 32 of his last 33 games.

OF Odubel Herrera extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a 4-for-4 performance Thursday. It was the third four-hit game of his career. Herrera has hit safely in 21 of 22 games. In the 10 games played on the road trip, Herrera batted .415 with seven runs scored.

CF Odubel Herrera extended his hitting streak to nine games with a single in his last at-bat Wednesday against the Braves. He is 13-for-37 during the streak and is batting .317 with a .432 on-base percentage. Herrera has walked 25 times.

CF Odubel Herrera has been a revelation for the Phillies. Since moving to the leadoff spot on April 20, he is batting .375 (24-for-64) with 11 walks and 15 runs. Those totals include a key run that Herrera scored Sunday in a 6-5 win against the Marlins. Herrera came all the way around from second base on a groundout, a key play in a 6-5 win.

CF Odubel Herrera has reached safely in nine straight games against Miami and 20 of 21 for his career.

CF Odubel Herrera went 3-for-5 and raised his batting average to .330. He also made an error in center field, allowing a bouncing ball to get past him. Overall, though, it was another good day for Herrera, who started the day ranked second in the NL in on-base percentage.
