Tue May 31 202213:40Wilmer Flores Homers Monday
San Francisco Giants infielder Wilmer Flores went deep Monday, knocking a two-run home run in a 5-4 extra-inning victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. It was his only hit in five at-bats. Flores now has a .258/.318/.419 slash line in 168 plate appearances, with five homers, 24 runs scored, and 27 RBI. He's earned regular playing time across the infield, and his versatility should keep him on the field even when injured first baseman Brandon Belt returns to the lineup. Flores is a solid fill-in in all league formats, though he is not a roster priority.

Tue May 10 202222:22Wilmer Flores Scratched Tuesday Night
San Francisco Giants third baseman Wilmer Flores (back) was scratched from the starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Colorado Rockies due to lower back tightness. Mauricio Dubon got the start at the hot corner instead and hit seventh in the batting order against Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela. Until we know more about Flores' condition, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. The 30-year-old veteran infielder has been seeing more playing time at third base with Evan Longoria (finger) on the injured list, but Longoria is expected to return from shelf in a few days. Flores has been useful in deep mixed and NL-only leagues, as he's hitting .270 with three home runs, 19 RBI and 15 runs scored in 27 games, but his playing time will likely be on the decline soon.

Thu Oct 14 202121:00Wilmer Flores Starting At First Base For NLDS Game 5
San Francisco Giants infielder Wilmer Flores is getting the start at first base on Thursday. The veteran is hitting seventh in Game 5 of the Giants' National League Division Series matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Right-handed reliever Corey Knebel is serving as the opener for Los Angeles with left-hander Julio Urias, who usually starts, also set to pitch. Urias could enter the game right after Knebel, or Los Angeles could theoretically use a second relief pitcher after the right-hander. Flores drew a walk and scored a run in two plate appearances against Urias in the second game of the series.

Mon Oct 11 202118:29Wilmer Flores Not In The Starting Lineup For Game 3
San Francisco Giants infielder Wilmer Flores is heading to the bench for Game 3 of the NLDS against Max Scherzer and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Kris Bryant will be manning first base for the game with Evan Longoria at the hot corner and LaMonte Wade Jr. in left field. Flores started each of the first two games of the series and went 0-for-7 with a walk, a strikeout and a run scored. The 30-year-old was a key contributor for the team this year. He appeared in 139 games and slashed .262/.335/.447 with 18 home runs, 53 RBI and 57 runs. We likely haven't seen the last of him this series.

Sun Sep 12 202112:48Wilmer Flores Starting In Return From Injured List
San Francisco Giants infielder Wilmer Flores (hamstring) was reinstated from the injured list Sunday morning and was immediately inserted into the lineup, playing first base and batting sixth. He has a favorable matchup against lefty Justin Steele and the Chicago Cubs. Flores has slugged 17 homers this year in 349 at-bats and figures to see playing time against left-handed pitching going forward. He's most useful to fantasy managers in daily lineup formats.

Thu Sep 2 202114:00Wilmer Flores Placed On 10-Day Injured List
The San Francisco Giants placed second baseman Wilmer Flores (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday. Infielder/outfielder Mauricio Dubon was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. Flores is dealing with left hamstring tightness. He suffered the injury in Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers and he was forced to exit the game. Dubon, who is starting in center field on Thursday, should see a decent amount of playing time while Flores is out. Thairo Estrada could see a bump in playing time as well.

Thu Sep 2 202108:34Wilmer Flores Dealing With Hamstring Tightness
San Francisco Giants second baseman Wilmer Flores (hamstring) was removed from Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers due to left hamstring tightness. He was lifted in the fifth inning of the game and replaced by LaMonte Wade Jr. It sounds as if Flores' removal may have been precautionary. He should be considered day-to-day at this point. Over 120 games on the year, Flores is slashing .249/.319/.438 with 17 home runs, 46 RBI and 49 runs.

Sat Aug 14 202113:58Wilmer Flores Hits Three-Run Homer Friday
San Francisco Giants second/third baseman Wilmer Flores had a big day at the plate in Friday's 5-4 win over the Rockies, going 2-for-4 with a single, a three-run home run, and a strikeout. Flores got things started for the Giants, blasting a first-inning Austin Gomber off-speed pitch into the center-field seats for his 15th HR of the season. Flores has had a decent season, slashing .250/.326/.449 with 42 RBI. However, he hasn't really been exciting enough to warrant serious fantasy attention.

Sat Jul 31 202118:55Wilmer Flores Exits Early With Back Tightness
San Francisco Giants infielder Wilmer Flores (back) exited Saturday's game early due to back tightness, according to Maria Guardado of MLB.com. Flores was replaced on defense in the fourth inning by Thairo Estrada after going 1-for-2 with a two-run home run to start the game. He's been a solid option in deeper formats this year by slashing .249/.330/.431 with 12 homers, 36 RBI and 42 runs scored over 92 games. Managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
