LHP Anthony Banda -- it is pronounced BOND-a -- continued his ascent in the system by going 10-6 with a 2.88 ERA while splitting time between Double-A Mobile and Triple-A Reno last year. Banda's fastball ticked up into the low- to mid-90 mph range last year, and his curve is a swing-and-miss pitch. Obtained for OF Gerardo Parra from Milwaukee at the 2014 trade deadline, Banda keeps the ball on the ground. His time appears near.
