Sun Aug 22 202118:17Paul Goldschmidt Homers On Sunday
St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt hit a home run and a double in Sunday's win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. "Goldy" went 2-for-4, scoring twice and driving in a run. The home run was his 19th of the season and the RBI on the solo shot gives him 71 on the year. He's hitting .283 with an .811 OPS and after a slow start to the season, he's been one of the more consistent bats in the Cardinals lineup.

Wed Aug 11 202122:09Paul Goldschmidt Reaches Base Four Times On Wednesday
St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt reached base four times in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Goldschmidt went 1-for-2 with a single and three walks, scoring a run. It was a great game for fantasy managers in OBP leagues with "Goldy" in their starting lineups. He's hitting .269 with a .338 OBP, and while he's not the same Paul Goldschmidt he was in a Diamondbacks uniform, he's still been a solid offensive contributor as a Cardinal.

Wed Aug 11 202109:02Paul Goldschmidt Slugging Just .355 In August
St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt had his best month of the year so far in July. He slashed .323/.400/.559 with six home runs, 13 RBI and 15 runs over 23 games last month. However, he's off to a slow start in August. Over his first eight games this month, he's slashed .258/.265/.355 while managing just one extra-base hit, a home run. His season-long .442 slugging percentage is a career-low mark, down from .466 last year and well below his career .516 slugging percentage. However, his .531 xSLG ranks in the top 7% of the league and his current 52.9% hard-hit rate is a career-best mark. Clearly he's been a bit unlucky so far. It's likely that the breakout we were seeing in July will continue to develop over the final months of the year.

Sun Aug 1 202112:21Paul Goldschmidt Posts Best Month Of Season
St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt went 0-for-4 on Saturday against the Twins but is slowly heating up and posted his best month of the season in July. The 33-year-old slashed .323/.400/.559 for a .959 OPS during the month with six home runs, showing that while he's not a league winner at this point in his career he remains a reliable fantasy producer. On the season Goldschmidt is batting .269 with 17 homers, 55 RBI and 56 runs, rebounding from a slow start in April.
