Thu Aug 5 202109:42Michael A. Taylor Hits His 10th Home Run On Wednesday
Kansas City Royals outfielder Michael A. Taylor notched his first multi-hit game in nearly a month on Wednesday. Facing Lucas Giolito and the Chicago White Sox, Taylor went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and two runs scored. Through 97 games on the year, Taylor is slashing .238/.297/.364 with 10 home runs, seven stolen bases, 38 RBI and 43 runs. Strikeouts have been a big problem for him this year as his 29.1% strikeout rate ranks in the bottom 9% of the league. He's also been buried in an underwhelming Royals lineup all year, which greatly limits his fantasy appeal.

His 30.2% strikeout rate on the year ranks in the bottom 8% of the league and he also ranks in the bottom 20% of the league in xSLG (.358). He remains buried at the bottom of the Royals' batting order and should continue to remain on waivers in all fantasy leagues at this point.

"We'll find out when we get the MRI."Acquired in an offseason trade with the Chicago White Sox, Eaton went 2-for-5 Friday as Washington's leadoff hitter to boost his batting average to .297. Taylor went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Monday's 5-1 victory over the Reds.
Taylor had been mired in a 1-for-14 slump coming into the Monday's contest, so the two hits were a welcome development. It was only Taylor's third multi-hit outing of a September that has seen him hit just .195, his second-lowest monthly batting average in 2015. The 24-year-old outfielder certainly showed promise at the plate over his first full season in the majors, demonstrating some pop with the bat and stealing 16 bags in the process. However, until he improves on his robust 31.2 strikeout rate, Taylor will likely struggle to thoroughly fulfill his considerable potential.
