The NBA's all-time leading scorer continues to carry a left ankle problem, but he's missed only a handful of games over the last couple of months. In the last game against Sacramento, James even logged 40 minutes. It's a high-stakes game on Saturday, and James should be eager to play in the contest to boost his team's chances of climbing the Western Conference standings.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's meeting with Los Angeles Lakers. He recently resumed practicing, which is a good sign. However, the 36-year-old, who missed the last three games because of a sprained ankle, likely has some hurdles to leap before being cleared to get back on the floor. With Golden State holding on to the last play-in spot, the team needs Curry back soon. But they won't rush him back before he's 100%. Nonetheless, if he remains sidelined versus the Lakers, Chris Paul, who is averaging 12.7 points, 7.4 assists, and 1.4 steals in 14 starts this season, would continue to handle most of the work at the 1.

Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden (shoulder) will sit out a second consecutive game on Friday against New Orleans. The former MVP has sustained a left shoulder strain, relinquishing his starter's spot to Bones Hyland. Hyland produced a nice 17-point, 11-assist double-double on Thursday versus Chicago, adding five rebounds and four steals. He should be a good streaming option again on Friday, although it's going to be a much more difficult matchup.

The 2017 NBA Sixth Man of the Year has been in a shooting slump lately, but a meeting with a team that gives up 117.0 points per game and allows the opposition to make 13.4 threes a night will put Gordon in a good spot for a bounce-back performance.

Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden (shoulder) has received another questionable tag for their Friday night matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans. The former MVP was forced to miss the first half of their back-to-back on Thursday with a shoulder strain and he may be forced to miss a second consecutive contest. Since Russell Westbrook (hand) is also out, Terance Mann and Bones Hyland both joined the starting five against the Chicago Bulls. Hyland put together a double-double with 17 points and 11 assists while Mann couldn't find much of a shooting rhythm. If Harden has to miss another game, both Hyland and Mann can serve as solid streaming options.

Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (heel) hasn't traveled with the team to Detroit for Friday's matchup against the Pistons, missing an eighth consecutive game. The veteran is struggling to overcome a heel injury, which he picked up late last month. Love's absence has secured a regular starting role for Nikola Jovic, with Haywood Highsmith and Caleb Martin providing cover off the bench. The latter is the most attractive fantasy piece of the three, and Martin continues to see 30-plus minutes regularly despite his bench role.

Chicago Bulls guard/forward DeMar DeRozan had a memorable night against Indiana on Wednesday. He produced one of the highest-scoring games of his career with a 46-point effort and helped the team to a 132-129 overtime victory. DeRozan's jump shot with 0.1 seconds remaining on the clock took the game past regulation, and the veteran star scored nine of Chicago's 15 points in the extra frame. He finished with 15-for-24 shooting from the field and made 15 of his 17 attempts at the free-throw line. DeRozan was only one rebound short of a double-double and collected three assists, two steals, and one block. The six-time All-Star has scored more points in a regular-season game just four times during his 15-year NBA career. Age hasn't yet fully caught up with DeRozan, as he's averaging 23.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.1 steals for the season.

Paul has averaged 13.0 points, 7.6 assists, and 1.5 steals in 13 starts during the 2023-24 campaign, giving him value for fantasy managers in all formats.

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (foot) and center Kevin Love (heel) remain out for Wednesday's contest versus the Denver Nuggets. Herro will be sidelined for a ninth straight game due to medial tendinitis in his right foot, while Love will miss a seventh consecutive matchup with a bruised right heel. Friday's tilt against the Detroit Pistons marks both players' next opportunities to return for the Heat. Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. This is bad timing for the Celtics with multiple guards all on the injury report together. Holiday is joined by Derrick White (hand) and Jaylen Brown (groin) as questionable for Monday. If they can't play, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser could be looking at bigger roles in the rotation. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Monday for another update on their status.
