Sun Mar 11 201222:49Jonny Flynn seeing some minutes for Houston
Jonny Flynn served as Houston's backup PG for the second consecutive game on Sunday, notching four points and two assists.
Flynn was pressed into service by Kyle Lowry's mysterious ailment, but he's not a fantasy asset even with Lowry out for weeks. Prior to Saturday's game (in which his +/- rating was -19 in 14 minutes), he had racked up 20 consecutive DNP-CDs.

Mon Feb 6 201217:47Jonny Flynn drawing some interest
The Knicks and Lakers have contacted the Rockets regarding a trade for Jonny Flynn, sources tell ESPN.com.
Both teams are desperate for point guard help, but they aren't going to give up much for Flynn. The Knicks reportedly offered the likes of Renaldo Balkman and Mike Bibby and the Rockets predictably weren't interested. Flynn, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2009 draft, has appeared in just seven of the Rockets' 24 games this season.

Wed Jan 25 201208:11Rockets will not pick up Jonny Flynn's option
Rockets will not exercise the contract option on G Jonny Flynn.
Flynn will be a free agent in the offseason as a result. The Rockets will also decline the contract options of Terrence Williams and Hasheem Thabeet.

Sat Dec 31 201103:17Flynn taking over the No. 2 point guard slot?
Jonny Flynn was the first point guard off the bench in Friday's game, and finished with eight points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with one rebound and four assists in 20 minutes.
This could just be more preseason style experimenting, but if it happens regularly we'll update the depth chart. Goran Dragic is one of the better backup PGs in the league, so it would be a bit of a surprising development.

Sat Jun 25 201117:20Jonny Flynn's hip nearly held up MIN/HOU deal
The Timberwolves had to send another future second-round pick to the Rockets to seal a draft-day deal involving Jonny Flynn, after Rockets' physicians "raised issues with Flynn's hip injury."
The Rockets had agreed to trade Brad Miller and the No. 23 pick to the Wolves for Flynn, but Minnesota eventually had to sweeten the pot. Flynn had hip surgery last summer and appeared in just 53 games last year -- the injury won't keep him off the court next season, "but did raise some concerns for the long-term." The Rockets have already made Flynn available via trade but this certainly won't help his value.

Fri Jun 24 201101:02Rockets immediately make Flynn available
The Rockets have reportedly made Jonny Flynn available for trade immediately after acquiring him during the NBA Draft on Thursday.
Marc Stein of ESPN.com tweeted that the deal was mostly about acquiring Donatas Motiejunas for Houston, and the pieces involving Flynn and Brad Miller were included for salary purposes. Besides, the Rockets already have Goran Dragic to back up Kyle Lowry, so Flynn isn't really needed. Flynn may have value wherever he lands, but he has more questions than answers these days.

Thu Jun 23 201121:36Report: Wolves trade Flynn for Brad Miller
The Timberwolves have reportedly traded guard Jonny Flynn and rookie Donatas Motiejunas to Houston for ancient big man Brad Miller, the 23rd pick in the draft and a future first-rounder.
After getting Ricky Rubio in house and drafting Derrick Williams, the Wolves will now pick 23rd and add an experienced (and old) back up big man. The 35-year-old Miller is on his last legs, but the Wolves got enough in return for Flynn that it shouldn't matter.

Sun Jun 19 201109:50Knicks eye PGs Jonny Flynn, Ramon Sessions
The Knicks have had preliminary discussions about trading Toney Douglas to the Wolves for Jonny Flynn.
The Knicks are looking for "prototype point guard" to back up Chauncey Billups for at least next season, and may also have interest in Cavs guard Ramon Sessions (expendable with Baron Davis in town and Kyrie Irving likely to be drafted No. 1). Flynn's fantasy value could spike in New York, but it likely wouldn't happen while Billups is healthy.

Thu Jun 2 201120:34Report: Flynn to be targeted by Suns
Jonny Flynn is expected to be pursued by the Suns with Ricky Rubio coming to play for the Wolves next season.
Flynn is on the trading block and several teams will be interested. The Suns had him ranked very high in the 2009 draft, and are expected to make a big run at him, although he'd split time with Aaron Brooks while backing up Steve Nash in Phoenix.

Thu Jun 2 201115:06Flynn a fit with the Raptors?
Bill Ingram of Hoopsworld is suggesting that Jonny Flynn would be a fit with the Raptors.
Ingram isn't reporting here, just speculating. Flynn is from the area and the Raptors seem to have soured on Jose Calderon. However, Jerryd Bayless is far more talented than Flynn and the Raptors may not want to stunt him. A deal is not imminent.

Thu Jun 2 201109:44Jonny Flynn fully expected to be traded away
Jonny Flynn "almost certainly will be traded this month," according to the Star-Tribune.
The Wolves don't have room for Ricky Rubio, Luke Ridnour and Flynn. They appear to have soured on Flynn anyway, who struggled badly to come back from hip surgery last season. Considering Flynn is only 22 and showed significant upside as a rookie, savvy teams would be wise to buy low.

Wed Apr 13 201119:33Flynn not with team for season finale
Jonny Flynn, who will be traded this offseason, is not with the Wolves on Wednesday for personal reasons.
Those personal issues probably have more to do with David Kahn than Flynn, but either way, you won't likely see him play for the Wolves again.

Wed Apr 13 201110:51Wolves will trade Jonny Flynn this summer?
Jonny Flynn will "almost certainly" be traded this offseason, according to beat writer Jerry Zgoda.
Flynn fell way behind Luke Ridnour this season, playing just 18.5 minutes per night in his 53 appearances after hip surgery. With Ricky Rubio reportedly ready to come to Minnesota, there is no room for Flynn. Still, a lot can change due to the impending lockout and Rubio's always fluid status. We wouldn't write Flynn off just yet.

Fri Mar 4 201121:49Flynn back to backup minutes for Minny
Jonny Flynn went back to being a strict backup on Friday, playing just 17 minutes on his way to six points on 2-of-4 shooting (including a three) with no rebounds and four assists.
This is a decent outing for him, but we weren't very high on him coming into tonight and this is why. He's a clear backup until proven otherwise, though the potential for Flynn to earn a timeshare does exist. It's just going to be up to Flynn to do his part.

Thu Mar 3 201100:11Jonny Flynn hands out 14 assists in win
Jonny Flynn had eight points, a career-high 14 assists and two steals on 2-of-7 shooting in 30 minutes on Wednesday.
Luke Ridnour was 5-of-5 from the floor, yet played just 18 minutes because Flynn was so hot. Maybe this is a turning point for Flynn, but we're guessing it's more a result of the Pistons just not being very good. Keep an eye on him, and think about grabbing him on a flier if you have someone you want to cut.

Sat Feb 26 201103:11Flynn (groin) returns to action on Friday
Jonny Flynn (groin) returned to action on Friday, scoring no points on three shot attempts with one rebound and no other statistics besides three turnovers in 15 minutes off the bench.
Flynn should not be considered a deterrent to Luke Ridnour's value until he shows that he can provide even mediocre play for the Wolves, as he has been mostly horrible for the past month. Flynn has simply regressed and will need to earn a timeshare with his play, and by the looks of things he's nowhere close to doing so.

Jonny Flynn returned to action on Friday February 25.
Fri Feb 25 201118:36Jonny Flynn will return on Friday
Jonny Flynn will play on Friday after missing three games with hip and groin injuries.
Groin injuries can be touch-and-go, so fantasy owners should reserve him until we've seen him playing close to 100%. His return is an obvious damper for the value of Luke Ridnour, as the two PGs continue their season-long see-saw.

Thu Feb 24 201111:48T-Wolves, Rockets in talks over Jonny Flynn
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Houston Rockets are currently discussing a deal that would send PG Jonny Flynn to the Rockets in exchange for either Aaron Brooks or Jared Jeffires.
Flynn has been dealing with injuries and Brooks lost his starting job and fell out of favor with team management. If this trade goes down, look for both players to get legitimate shots to start in their new environments.

Thu Feb 24 201109:07Flynn (groin) uncertain when he will return
According to team reports, Jonny Flynn (groin) is uncertain when he might return to the lineup.
Flynn has been in rehab since February 16th and has been told to take things slow. It sounds like he still may be a few games away from returning
