Sat Dec 15 201221:46Andris Biedrins scorless in fill-in start
Andris Biedrins was scoreless with seven rebounds and one block in a fill-in start for Golden State on Saturday.
Festus Ezeli is day-to-day with a bruised knee, but Biedrins was coming off four consecutive DNP-CDs, and he obviously isn't a fantasy option regardless. In addition to his other stats, Andris racked up four personal fouls in just 14 minutes.

Fri Nov 2 201221:37Andris Biedrins will likely play on Saturday
Andris Biedrins (groin) is expected to play on Saturday.
Biedrins had reportedly fallen out of favor with Mark Jackson, but the Warriors will need the extra bodies with Andrew Bogut expected to sit out. Biedrins' woeful shooting from the line is not a fantasy option in standard leagues and this news also puts a dent in Festus Ezeli's prospects.

Andris Biedrins (groin) returned to practice on Monday.
Biedrins is an afterthought for the Warriors and should not be rostered in any fantasy league.

Sun Oct 14 201218:31Andris Biedrins (groin) disappoints Warriors
Mark Jackson didn't mince words about his disappointment with Andris Biedrins (groin) this preseason.
"If you're the only guy not here [for voluntary workouts] and then you get hurt, it's unfortunate," Jackson said. "He's just rehabbing and we're going to keep it moving. We really don't have time to wait for anybody." Festus Ezeli impressed the Warriors throughout training camp and has an iron grip on the backup center position, and he'll start as long as Andrew Bogut (ankle) is sidelined.

Tue Oct 9 201215:45Andris Biedrins dealing with groin injury
Andris Biedrins is listed on the Warriors' injury report with a sore right groin.
After a dreadful performance on Sunday, this is more bad news for Biedrins. Ignore him in fantasy until he proves he still belongs in the NBA.

Mon Oct 8 201208:41Andris Biedrins awful in first exhibition
Andris Biedrins did not play well in Sunday's exhibition loss to the Lakers, racking up four fouls and zero rebounds in 11 minutes.
This is just more of the same from Biedrins, and while the Warriors quietly hope he gets his head together this season, don't count on it happening. Find another center to take late in your draft.

Fri Oct 5 201208:37Biedrins, Ezeli competing for backup center
Andris Biedrins and Festus Ezeli are competing for the backup center spot behind Andrew Bogut.
Early indications out of training camp had the rookie ahead of the inept Biedrins, but Mark Jackson said that "both of those guys are very good" and added he'd have "no problem" starting either one if Bogut (ankle) isn't ready on opening night. The coach referred to Ezeli as someone who is "still learning," but previously expressed his displeasure with Biedrins. No matter how you slice it, the W's are in trouble if Bogut has another injury-plagued season.

Thu Sep 27 201209:06Mark Jackson not happy with Andris Biedrins
Mark Jackson voiced his displeasure with Andris Biedrins not being in for voluntary workouts.
"At the end of the day, it was a long year last year -- it was a tough year for a lot of players," Jackson said. "But I've got everybody in here, other than Andris Biedrins." Biedrins is set to open the season behind rookie Festus Ezeli on the depth chart, an indication of Biedrins' standing with the team. He averaged 1.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks last season while shooting 11.1 percent from the foul line.

Fri Sep 14 201200:09Biedrins fined minimal amounts by Latvia
Andris Biedrins was fined the equivalent of $3,730 by the Latvian government's "finance police," for failing to pay tax on a boat he purchased in the U.S. and brought back to his home country.
The only thing mildly interesting here is that the Latvian's tax collecting unit is called the "finance police." Originally arrested and looking at up to five years in jail, what Biedrins should have been arrested for is his free throw shooting motion.

Tue Jul 10 201219:05Biedrins charged for tax evasion in Latvia
Andris Biedrins is being investigated and charged for tax evasion in his home country of Latvia.
The case appears to center around a bogus company that was started as a work-around to avoid paying taxes on a Malibu Wakesetter boat, and could last three years. Biedrins is being charged with two other people for evading taxes on 11,500 lats, or $20,000 and if found guilty, he could receive of jail sentence of up to five years. Biedrins has struggled badly for a few years now on the court, suffering from concussion issues last year, as well as not being able to hit a free throw to save his life. It remains to be seen what impact the court case has on his NBA career, but we wouldn't recommend drafting him this year, either way.

Wed May 30 201216:24Andris Biedrins prime amnesty candidate
Andris Biedrins is owed $18 million over the next two seasons, making him a prime candidate for the amnesty clause.
The Warriors failed to upgrade at center last offseason, prompting them to start Biedrins in 35 games. The experiment, borne of desperation, failed miserably -- Biedrins shot 1-of-9 from the FT line for the season, and seemed so paranoid about his FT struggles that he almost never touched the ball. He finished with averages of 1.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 16 minutes per game, and there's no reason to think he can turn things around at this point in his career.

Mon Apr 16 201213:42Andris Biedrins status is uncertain
Andris Biedrins' (concussion) status remains uncertain.
Biedrins was diagnosed with a "minor" concussion on Saturday. If he can get back before the end of the season, he'll at least have some kind of role with David Lee (groin) now out for the season.

Sun Apr 15 201209:11Andris Biedrins diagnosed with concussion
Andris Biedrins has been diagnosed with a minor concussion.
Biedrins left after 10 minutes on Saturday after the back of Blake Griffin's head slammed into Biedrins' face, and the result was a concussion for the inept Golden State big man. He'll have to pass a series of baseline tests before being cleared to return. Averaging 1.7 points and 3.7 rebounds this season, Biedrins is still owed a whopping $18 million over the next two years after the Warriors inexplicably used its amnesty clause on Charlie Bell before the season.

Sat Apr 14 201215:21Warriors starting Biedrins & Tyler
The Warriors will start both Andris Biedrins and Jeremy Tyler on Saturday, with David Lee out with a groin injury.
Lee's season could be over and while Biedrins still doesn't have much fantasy appeal, Tyler could actually go off with Lee out of the way. Keep a close eye on him.

Mon Apr 2 201200:09Andris Biedrins returns, plays 18 minutes
Andris Biedrins (right groin) returned to action on Sunday with zero points and five rebounds in 18 minutes.
There was plenty of optimistic talk about (and from) Biedrins during the preseason, but he's been an enormous flop. His offensive limitations are debilitating and he remains an untradeable red splotch on the Warriors' balance sheet.

Fri Mar 30 201222:33Andris Biedrins (groin) still out on Friday
Andris Biedrins will miss another game on Friday night due to a groin injury.
This will mark the seventh consecutive game Biedrins has missed, and he should not be owned in any fantasy leagues.

Tue Mar 27 201222:37Biedrins out, Tyler starts again for Warriors
Andris Biedrins will miss another game on Tuesday with a groin injury, as Jeremy Tyler will draw another start.
Biedrins has become useless in fantasyland, while Tyler deserves a look in deeper leagues going forward.

Sun Mar 25 201202:25Andris Biedrins misses third straight game
Andris Biedrins (groin) sat out his third consecutive game on Saturday.
Biedrins is having another disastrous season, failing to emerge despite Kwame Brown's season-ending injury and Golden State's failure to land a big-name center in free agency. They'll try again to trade him next season, and failing that they might attempt to buy out his contract.

Sat Mar 24 201209:42Andris Biedrins still tradeable for Warriors?
The Warriors are still hopeful that there's a trade market for Andris Biedrins, who is owed $18 million over the next two seasons.
Good luck. Biedrins is averaging 1.9 points and 3.8 rebounds this season, he's 1-of-9 from the FT line on the year, and he's being booed by home fans during pre-game introductions. The Warriors chose to amnesty Charlie Bell instead of Biedrins, which was probably a mistake given the latter's offensive limitations, history of injuries, confidence issues, and massive contract.
