Ben Uzoh has signed a one-year deal with the Italian team Fabi Shoes Montegranaro.
Uzoh will replace Edgar Sosa on the roster after the latter had a gruesome leg injury recently that will sideline him at least the next six months. Uzoh spent part of his rookie season with the New Jersey Nets after spending time in the NBDL. Uzoh, an unrestricted free agent, will not have an out clause in his contract to return to the NBA for 2011-12.

Ben Uzoh left Sunday's game against the Raptors with a bruised knee and is unlikely to return.
Uzoh slipped on a wet spot and banged his knee against the ground. He writhed in pain for awhile, but this does not appear serious. Uzoh had six points off the bench before leaving.

Ben Uzoh was used to spell Jordan Farmar and even started the second half in Tuesday's blowout loss, and finished with 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes.
Uzoh is unlikely to do much more than be a thorn in the side of Farmar's owners, but weirder things have happened with Napoleon running the show. While the lopsided score would suggest the bench was just emptied, Avery Johnson glared at Farmar for much of the game, whose defense and decision-making was suspect -- but didn't play as bad as Johnson felt he did.

PG Ben Uzoh has joined the Nets in Orlando and will be available for Friday's game against the Magic.
Uzoh was supposed to be with the Nets last night, but bad weather prevented him from getting to the arena on time. He'll back up Jordan Farmar, unless Deron Williams ends up playing Friday. The Nets had no new update on Williams Thursday.

Ben Uzoh hit 6-of-8 shots and 6-of-6 free throws for a career high of 18 points, five rebounds and two assists off the bench in Saturday's loss.
Jordan Farmar left with an ankle injury, leaving Uzoh as Deron Williams' backup. We need to see him do this a couple more times before giving him a second thought.
