Dalembert scored 13 points (5-10 FG, 3-4 FT), with 13 rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 25 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Mavericks.
Dalembert stepped up big for the Knicks inside, and he did it while playing fewer minutes than the bulk of the other starters. He's unreliable from a fantasy perspective, but monitor his upcoming games.

Dalembert has started all 11 of the Knicks' games this season, posting averages of 3.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 17.8 minutes per game.
Dalembert offers an experienced defensive presence that is unmatched on the Knicks' roster, thus allowing the 33-year-old to anchor New York's starting lineup to this point in the season. Nonetheless, as in years past, Dalembert's minutes average restricts his fantasy value, especially for an already-limited offensive player. While his current field goal efficiency of 38.5 percent is bound to rise closer to his career average of 52 percent, Dalembert's fantasy value remains rooted in his rebounding and shot-blocking abilities.

Dalembert played only 6 minutes in the Knicks' victory over Cleveland, but started and played 22 minutes against the Hornets.
The amount of minutes Dalembert is receiving is admirable, but he has yet to show for any of it. He only added 8 rebounds and 1 assist yesterday. The Knicks have clearly assigned Dalembert a very specific role, but his 20+ minutes look like a gaping hole in terms of production. He should provide a little bit of value if he can record some blocked shots.

Dalembert has been dealing with a minor calf injury but was able to practice in full Saturday, The Record reports.
Dalembert has started at center for the Knicks during both of their games this season but has played a total of 26 minutes between those two contests. A part of that can be chalked up to the calf injury that he's been dealing with, although he won't likely see extended amounts of time on the court even when healthy.
Tue Oct 14 201414:03Dalembert expected to start at center this season
Dalembert is expected to start at center this season, ESPN New York reports.
Dalembert was acquired by the Knicks this offseason, after averaging 6.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 20.2 minutes during his sole season with the Mavericks last term. The 33-year-old offers an interior defensive presence unmatched on the Knicks' roster, making New York's starting center position Dalembert's to lose. Although Dalembert hasn't exceeded 25 minutes per game since the 2009-10 campaign, he's the kind of player that can flirt with double-doubles on most nights, giving him decent value in deeper fantasy leagues.
Fri Jun 27 201409:14Sammy D wants to stay in New York
Samuel Dalembert's agent, Marc Cornstein, said his client will be "a perfect fit'' for the Knicks and he's always wanted to play in New York.
Dalembert went to college at Seton Hall in north Jersey and was just a New Jersey Turkpike trip away from NY as he spent his first eight seasons in Philadelphia. He's seen his minutes trend down since his Philly days, but he could have some decent fantasy value if the Knicks don't do anything about their frontcourt depth at center.

Thu Jun 26 201412:39Knicks don't plan to waive Samuel Dalembert
The Knicks reportedly have no plans to waive newly-acquired center Samuel Dalembert.
There had been rumblings that the Knicks would waive Dalembert after acquiring him on Wednesday, but the latest reports are that he will begin the season in New York as the Knicks needs a center after trading Tyson Chandler. Dalembert averaged 6.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game with the Mavericks this season and could end up holding sneaky value in fantasy leagues based on sheer minutes if they Knicks can't find another big man.

Thu Jun 26 201402:03Knicks may be trying to move Dalembert
Chris Herring is reporting that the Knicks may be trying to move new acquisitions C Samuel Dalembert and G Shane Larkin in a separate deal.
That's all the information we have at this point, so take the information with a grain of salt. Notice that Jose Calderon, who was also acquired on Wednesday, is not included in the rumor, so he looks like the starting point guard for the Knicks on opening night, as of now.

Wed Jun 25 201418:03Samuel Dalembert going to the Knicks
Samuel Dalembert has been traded to the Knicks.
Only $1.8 million of his $3.9 million is guaranteed, so he's definitely a candidate to be cut, which would help alleviate the Knicks' cap space. Although, the Knicks do not really have a decent center on their roster right now, so he won't be cut unless it's a do-or-die case to make room for a max guy. He'd be a sneaky late-round pick as long as he's still on the Knicks' roster.

Wed Jun 25 201416:33Sammy D in the deal for the Knicks
The Knicks are close to acquiring Samuel Dalembert from the Knicks.
Coach Rick Carlisle has put Dalembert in his doghouse on numerous occasions, so they won't have a problem shipping him to the Knicks. The worst part of this deal would be the Mavericks taking on an extra $5.8 million in salary, which may limit them in bringing in a big-name free agent.

Fri May 2 201412:16Dalembert participates fully in shootaround
Sam Dalembert (ankle) was a full participant in Friday morning's shootaround.
Dalembert is not expected to be limited on Friday night despite spraining his right ankle early in Game 5. He's averaging 4.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks while playing 21.4 minutes so far in the series. Dalembert has proven he can be an effective rim protector and rebounder when his head is on straight.

Thu May 1 201414:58Samuel Dalembert practices on sore ankle
Samuel Dalembert practiced on Thursday despite dealing with a sore right ankle.
Dalembert rolled his ankle in the first half of Wednesday's Game 5 defeat, which he finished with two points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes. Brandan Wright got more playing time with Dalembert on the bench down the stretch, but Sammy should be fine for Friday's game as the Mavs try to force a decisive Game 7.

Tue Apr 8 201423:37Samuel Dalembert plays well in win over UTA
Samuel Dalembert had 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks in Tuesday's win over the Jazz.
He's gotten solid minutes and played very well over his last four games, averaging 10.5 points, 9.25 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. If you need a cheap big man down the stretch, Dalembert looks like a nice option.

Sat Apr 5 201402:12Dalembert rolling for owners and the Mavs
Samuel Dalembert scored 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with 14 rebounds, one steal and one block in just 21 minutes on Friday against the Lakers.
Despite one dud this past week, Dalembert has turned in early round value over his last six games with averages of 9.5 points, 8.0 boards and 2.3 blocks while hitting 76.7 percent of his shots. Owners should simply hang on until the wheels fall off.

Fri Apr 4 201402:14Samuel Dalembert gets 29 minutes
Samuel Dalembert played 29 minutes vs. the Clippers on Thursday with 12 points, six boards and two blocks.
Due to the matchup against the Warriors, Dalembert played just seven minutes. Tonight was a different story with the size of the Clippers and he spent a lot of time on Blake Griffin. His previous four games before that game vs. the Warriors yielded an average of 25.5 minutes per game, so his owners should just give him a pass for that one dud.

Wed Apr 2 201413:16Samuel Dalembert victim of poor matchups
Mavs coach Rick Carlisle confirmed that he played Samuel Dalembert only seven minutes on Tuesday because he was matching up with the Warriors.
"Credit [the Warriors]. They made it their kind of game," said Carlisle, who gave more minutes to Brandan Wright and DeJuan Blair in the tough OT loss. Dalembert was on a roll prior to Tuesday's disappearance, and he should fare better vs. DeAndre Jordan and the Clippers on Thursday.

Tue Apr 1 201423:12Sam Dalembert rides some serious pine
Samuel Dalembert played just seven minutes against the Warriors on Tuesday with two points and three boards.
He was coming in with some serious momentum, but coach Rick Carlisle went with a smaller lineup tonight. This isn't the first time Dalembert moved back into a secondary role and it probably won't be his last. The big man played at least 20 minutes in the three previous games vs. the Warriors, but the Warriors not having Andrew Bogut might have been a factor. His owners shouldn't totally panic and the Mavs should use him more on Thursday vs. the Clippers.

Tue Apr 1 201418:56Mavs' GM intends to keep Samuel Dalembert
Mavericks president Donnie Nelson said that Samuel Dalembert will "absolutely" be with the team in the final year of his contract next season.
"Absolutely we'll have Sam back. Great guy," said Nelson. "If we can get him to show up on time to practice, that'll be a step in the right direction." The good-natured joke has some truth to it since Dalembert's drive and consistency aren't exemplary, but he's stepped up his game with averages of 9.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 2.7 blocks in the Mavs' past six games. He's worth deploying in fantasy leagues until he cools off.

Tue Apr 1 201412:38Mavs want Samuel Dalembert back next season
The Mavericks are determined to keep Samuel Dalembert (back) in the fold for the 2014-15 season, according to president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson.
Dalembert is signed to a contract with the Mavericks next season, but the Mavericks could theoretically sever ties after the 2013-14 season as only part of his contract is guaranteed. Nelson poured water on that possibility, however. "Absolutely we'll have Sam back," Nelson said. "When he brings his A game, we're a different team." Dalembert is averaging 9.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game over his last five so fantasy owners in dire need of boards and blocks down the homestretch should be looking his way.

Sun Mar 30 201400:48Samuel Dalembert drops 15 points on Kings
Samuel Dalembert shot 7-of-8 from the field for 15 points with six boards, two steals and three blocks in 24 minutes vs. the Kings on Saturday.
He's been in and out of coach Rick Carlisle's doghouse, but the coach has given him plenty of leash now. Over his last five, Dalembert averaged 9.4 points, 9.8 boards and 2.6 blocks on 66.7 percent from the field. He's worth owning in standard leagues right now thanks to high block totals.
