Tue Nov 27 201223:04Kwame Brown plays well in win
Kwame Brown played well in Tuesday's win, finishing with season highs of six points and eight rebounds to go along with a steal and a block in 16 minutes.
Brown is a useless fantasy player, but looked better than both Lavoy Allen and Spencer Hawes tonight.

Sat Nov 24 201221:56Kwame Brown benched for Lavoy Allen
Kwame Brown unexpectedly moved to the Sixers' bench vs. the Thunder, where he posted two points and two rebounds in eight minutes.
Brown hasn't been a fantasy asset despite the starting gig, so his move to the bench shouldn't disrupt any lineups.

Wed Nov 21 201209:33Collins making changes to Sixers starters
Doug Collins said that he would make changes to the Sixers starting lineup following Tuesday's win.
"Our starting lineup has not been good," he said. "We're getting good shots but we're not making any of them, so I'm going to change that." The most obvious change would be to sit Kwame Brown on the bench after he played just five minutes on Tuesday.

Wed Nov 14 201222:25Kwame Brown starts for Sixers
Kwame Brown had just three points in 15 minutes despite starting at center for the Sixers on Wednesday after missing time with a calf injury.
Lavoy Allen had a nice game with 14 points and six rebounds, while Spencer Hawes played just 15 minutes for five points. Brown has no fantasy value, even though he's the current starting center for the Sixers.

Wed Nov 14 201218:13Kwame Brown returns, will start vs. Pistons
Kwame Brown (calf) will start at C for against the Pistons on Wednesday night.
The Sixers are struggling to get meaningful production and effort out of their C, with Doug Collins calling for more from Lavoy Allen and Spencer Hawes this week. Brown won't give the Sixers, or fantasy owners, much in the way of offense, so a starting role won't really change his value.

Mon Nov 12 201210:04Kwame Brown unlikely to suit Monday night
Kwame Brown (calf) is unlikely to return Monday night against the Bucks.
Brown has missed the last three games, but with a limited fantasy role at best, his return is of little importance to owners.

Thu Nov 8 201213:36Kwame Brown (calf) doubtful for Fri. & Sat.
Kwame Brown's calf injury is expected to sideline him for the 76ers games on Friday and Saturday, according to Doug Collins.
"His calf is as large as a grapefruit," said Collins. Considering Kwame already aggravated the injury once, we don't expect to see him until at least Monday's game vs. the Bucks.

Tue Nov 6 201212:57Kwame Brown (calf) will be out for 'a while'
Doug Collins said that Kwame Brown (calf) will be out for "a while."
We're going to mark him as "out indefinitely" on our injury report as it sounds like the Sixers allowed him to return from his calf injury a bit too soon. With Brown going down again and Andrew Bynum still dealing with knee issues, expect Lavoy Allen and Spencer Hawes to spend a lot of time in the middle.

Mon Nov 5 201220:52Kwame Brown re-injures his left calf vs. NYK
Kwame Brown re-injured his left calf in Monday's game against the Knicks and did not return.
Brown lasted 11 minutes and posted four points with three boards before he left. We wouldn't worry too much about him clogging up the frontcourt. Assuming he is healthy, Doug Collins isn't going to change Spencer Hawes or Thaddeus Young's deployments based on Brown's presence, unless the opposition faces a particularly large center. When Andrew Bynum returns, Kwame might not see the floor if healthy.

Mon Nov 5 201218:09Kwame Brown (calf) will start, replaces Allen
Kwame Brown (calf) will start at center in his season debut vs. the Knicks on Monday.
Brown supplants Lavoy Allen in the starting lineup, potentially bad news for both Allen and backup big man Spencer Hawes. With Thaddeus Young clogging up minutes at PF, and Andrew Bynum's return lurking in the background, there's not a lot of upside in Philly's frontcourt.

Sat Nov 3 201213:27Kwame Brown (calf) expected to play Sunday
Kwame Brown is "ready to play" Sunday's game against the Knicks, according to Doug Collins.
Collins said the Sixers will need Brown against the bigger, stronger Knicks. Not that this information changes his non-existent fantasy value.

Wed Oct 31 201218:43Kwame Brown (calf) may not play Wednesday
Kwame Brown (calf) remains a game-time decision vs. the Nuggets on Wednesday, but he might not play even if he's healthy.
Doug Collins said that he plans to deploy small lineups early and often, adding, "This might be a game where Kwame doesn't play." Brown is solid defensively but he has hands of soapstone, he's injury prone, and he shouldn't be on fantasy roster.

Sun Oct 28 201210:39Kwame Brown (calf) practices but no scrimmage
Kwame Brown (calf) participated in portions of Saturday's practice, but he sat out the Sixers' scrimmage.
Doug Collins said that Kwame "did quite a bit of stuff" in practice, and it sounds like he could still play in the season opener. Lavoy Allen is locked into the starting center job for the moment, but Brown will have a sizable role off the bench as long as Andrew Bynum.

Fri Oct 26 201212:46Kwame Brown, Maalik Wayns not practicing Fri.
Kwame Brown (calf) and Maalik Wayns (head) both missed practice again Friday.
Each player is still being called day-to-day, but both will have to show us something before the regular season starts to be sure that they'll be able to play.

Mon Oct 22 201209:18Kwame Brown unlikely for Monday night
Kwame Brown is unlikely to play on Monday as he continues to deal with a calf injury.
Brown has been sidelined since October 14 and his timetable remains up in the air. The former No. 1 overall pick is not on the fantasy radar even if Andrew Bynum (knee) misses extended time.

Thu Oct 18 201213:04Kwame Brown will be out again on Friday
Kwame Brown (calf) will not play again on Friday after missing Wednesday's preseason game.
Doug Collins is hopeful that Brown can give it a whirl for the final two preseason games, but even that is up in the air at this point. With Andrew Bynum (knee) also sidelined, the Sixers will test out different frontcourt combinations to see what works. Collins already said that Thaddeus Young and Lavoy Allen will begin the year in the starting five if Bynum isn't ready.

Wed Oct 17 201211:36Kwame Brown will not play on Wednesday
Kwame Brown (calf) will not play in Wednesday's preseason game.
Brown strained his calf on Sunday, so we're not surprised he's sitting again. These types of injuries can linger if not treated properly, and with Andrew Bynum (knee) on the sidelines, the team can't afford to lose Brown for a significant amount of time. Spencer Hawes and Lavoy Allen will step up in the interim.

Sun Oct 14 201215:41Kwame Brown leaves practice w/ strained calf
Kwame Brown strained his left calf during Sunday's practice, and he's not expected to play on Monday.
Brown was already overweight and dealing with conditioning issues, so this is not encouraging. With Andrew Bynum (knee) still out of commission, Philly will lean heavily on Spencer Hawes and Lavoy Allen.

Thu Oct 11 201221:31Kwame Brown plays 12 minutes on Thursday
Kwame Brown started at center and finished with eight points while making all three field goals and both free throw attempts in 12 minutes against the Magic on Thursday.
The former number one pick was dealing with back spasms, but he looks to be healthy. Unless Andrew Bynum misses time, chances are fantasy owners will get the most value out of Brown by making him the butt of their jokes.
